This is my Kamigawa novels deck - which features every printed character, location, story-reference card and artwork depicting those characters/locations from the Kamigawa books and sets. It is more a "collection deck" that I can play. Since Commander allows 100 singleton cards, I am able to play the entire novels in one deck. Why put them all in a binder, when I can make a thematic deck out of them?
Why Kamigawa? Personal story - I was a rather late bloomer as far as coming out, which I did in medical school at 24. So late relative to many. I met my first boyfriend that summer of 2014, thinking my long lost and suppressed dreams had come true. In reality, I was deceived. I needed a distraction from the heartbreak of losing my first and long anticipated romance, so I began reading the Kamigawa novels and immersing myself in it as a world. Whenever I look at this deck and its characters, I'm reminded of the first guy I loved, our short-lived summertime romance, and the bittersweet feeling of making that first leap into the unknown.
If we players are Planeswalkers, then Kamigawa might be where I would go to reminisce

Thank you, I appreciate that! This post made me smile. I noticed I need to cut two cards in order to add Sosuke's Summons and Choice of Damnations. One references Sosuke and the other, Toshiro. Otherwise, I just hope we get the remaining Kamigawa characters, especially Choryu.
