So I've been running this deck for the better part of four or five months and I'm just slowly chipping away at my want list to add better mana rocks and stuff. Our Thursday Night Magic is pretty cutthroat, the meta is super competitive with a Narset Turns deck, a Oloro Stax deck and then a random fourth player that we invite to our unofficial evening. I took the deck to FNM commander and... well... you can imagine what happened. I went 2-0, taking just 8 damage game one (no other player in our five player pod did any damage to anyone) after suspending a total boardwipe followed by one of any Annihilator gods. Game two was essentially the same but ever so slightly more difficult after getting controlled a bit, but I still only took 5 damage, and used three counters against a Narset opponent. I've had so much fun with this deck I'm gonna drop some dollar on an altered art commander soon.
Nothing is funnier than Clash of Willsing a free-cast Enter the Infinite and watching a combo player combo himself out of the game.
The general gameplan is to cast my commander as fast as possible, suspend a board wipe and a fatty as soon as possible, and then pick off your opponents one by one as they all struggle to recover. In the event your starting hand doesn't allow this, we have multiple counterspells to deal with any combos opponents try to pull off in order to stop us from falling behind. Ideally your starting hand should include a land or two, a mana rock or two and a fatty. If this isn't possible, we start using draw cards, suspending for extra turns, and then using the odd suspend counter removal to speed things up. In a perfect world I can suspend an Ula on turn two and then remove him from suspend turn 3 and then swing (because suspend gives it haste) at an opponents face and wipe their board with the annihilator trigger. It's super degenerate, and nearly all my opponents hate me for ruining the spirit of commander. Fortunately they kinda can't gang up on you because the deck triggers so fast when things finally happen.
