So yeah new commander precons and everything so after a lot of attempts at my first 5 color EDH deck I think I might be somewhat in the right direction.
The strategy of this deck is to ramp for a bit, and then keep throwing dragons at people and ideally be able to keep it up through the card draw and recursion. Some field protection is included so I can try to keep up the onslaught as well. I may be a scrub but I pack answers as well. I am still not entirely sure on what I'm doing with 5 color dragon tribal so please throw ideas at me. Also wondering if and how I can make room for Kokusho, the Evening Star to offset how much this deck drinks my own blood.
Took out Animist's Awakening because I have had no luck at all with that thing. In its place is Fervor because it's a haste granter that's easy to cast, can't be killed by damage, and doesn't have a sacrifice activated ability that tends to haunt me when I get mindslave'd.
and if you're going to run those, you might as well run Genesis Wave. It will bring your right back into the game after a sweeper.
No that Sarkhan Vol isn't without a Doubling Season and even then Sarkhan Unbroken would be better if I had room for my doubling season. Sarkhan the Mad needs no doubling season to know how to rock.
Genesis Wave I'm not entirely sure of because I run a lot of sorcery and instants but it's something to consider...
