Strong Synergies Tamanoa plus Searing Meditation means Meditation triggers again as long as you can pay each time it triggers. Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder get this engine started and also plays well with Meditation without Tamanoa.

What is the timing for the triggers on the stack in order to make the Dualcaster Mage + Heat Shimmer combo go infinite?
Target a creature with Heat Shimmer. Hold priority and cast Dualcaster Mage. Dualcaster Mage resolves and its trigger goes on the stack targeting Heat Shimmer. The copy targets Dualcaster Mage. Repeat as desired, then target a difference creature with a Heat Shimmer copy. Then the original resolves and you have an arbitrary number of hasty 2/2s.
Ah, exactly. It doesn't go infinite on its own; it needs another creature. Since you only mentioned those cards as part of the combo I was a bit lost as to how it would be possible on its own.

Yes, there must be a creature on the battlefield that you can target to begin with. That's so common in multiplayer EDH that I didn't bother to mention it, but it's good to note.

Something going to replace Searing Meditation. It's a fun interaction with Tamanoa and Bruse, but so far it hasn't felt good enough. It's a solid mana sink with either of the aforementioned cards out, but Thras already provides an excellent mana sink.
