MTG Salvation

Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa and Silas Renn, Seeker Adept are two of the new partner legends from 2016 that both caught my eye. Individually there are better generals for evasion and better generals to abuse artifacts. But the new partner mechanic opens up some new deck building space where a deck can play different ways and lean on the different commanders in different ways. As the partners are new this deck is very much in its early stages.

Deck History:
This deck is very new but i get the feeling i'll be evolving it over the long run. When the partners were spoiled i think most deck builders were very excited at the possibilities. I wanted to pick two partners that would work well together but could function on their own. Sidar caught my eye for a number of reasons. One is i like old school magic and the Mirage block is one of my all time favorites. I also have enjoyed Ophidian and the like and Sidar naturally enables them. As some of the best ophidian type cards are blue so i wanted a blue partern to pair. Silas fit the bill in that his ability is great with Sidar and blue black allows from great cards like Shadowmage Infiltrator and Throat Slittler. With the general outline set i assembled a collection of these creatures and added some combat buffs. So far i have a few games under my belt and it actually won the first convincingly.

Some notes about my metagame.
Typically a "friendly" metagame where stax and oppressive combos are not played.
Tutors are frowned upon and cards that bog down the game like Top are rarely used.
