I have some more recent changes, so take them for you think they are worth! I have found I prefer to be able to have different option in which to attack with (excluding combos). I play both Bident of Thassa,Coastal Piracy and Well of Lost Dreams. Having permanents that draw cards allow you build around them, and they are continuous not one shot draw (which I find inherently more powerful). I Do play with Magister Sphinx, mainly because I win soley by beatdown, so his ability to shrink someone's life total to 10 is a tremendously valuable threat. I play some countermagic (about a handful) because I really don't want to lose to silly stuff if I can help it. Not every creature in my deck has the subtext "artifact", which I find to be an advantage. Some creatures offer utility that I want or other powers like evasion, life drain, or even recursion. Examples would be Vela the Night-Clad (she offers MASS evasion, which works wonderfully with Bident and Coastal Piracy, and she punishes sweepers), Vizkopa Guildmage to help drain all my opponents life totals, so I don't have swing out versus everyone, Chainer, Dimentia Master, for some recursive power alongside Sharuum, Leonin Abunas along with Padeem and some token generators like Skeletal Vampire, (again more evasive guys for Bident and CPiracy).

I feel like I've got most of these bases covered. Vedalken Archmage and Padeem, Consul of Innovation, and a few other cover card draw very well. The archmage is disgusting in this deck, he goes nuts. I've had Magister Sphinx in here before, my meta wasn't all that happy to see him, so I dispensed with him. I do have a copy of Chainer, Dementia Master but he's in my Savra build at present which is much more recursion based. I have Scarecrone and Beacon of Unrest for recursion. I don't have many bleeder effects like you would see in Vizkopa Guildmage, but there is a copy of Disciple of the Vault somewhere in my collection, I should dig it out.
Weak card out for token synergy in. Thankfully there is some recursion here, so things like Scarecrone, Metalwork Colossus, Beacon of Unrest will get some mileage out of the foundry.
Efficient Construction is to me not at the same level as Thopter Spy Network but could offer some redundancy. It'll generate a LOT more tokens, but the lack of draw with them puts the spy network a nose ahead to me. It's not a windmill slam. Scrap Trawler I'd like to add. Treasure Keeper I'd like to playtest. With enough recursion it could make an interesting addition for some mild acceleration. Hope of Ghirapur is a potentially strong control addition. I can recur it easily, and with some finagling could argue for the addition of Salvaging Station. I'd almost prefer adding it to my Kozilek deck though.
None of the other artifacts seem like auto includes; obviously Paradox Engine is pretty disgusting and would fit here well. I just want to see how it plays out banlist wise before committing to buying a copy. I see it as a potential ban for the next update simply because there are so many archetypes that could abuse it to end games quickly. Time will tell, but I'm not spending money on it yet.
Tezzeret the Schemer to me is a neutered version of Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas and I feel comfortable keeping him here. Won't be pursuing a copy of the 3.0, I have to admit to being a little disappointed.
The set itself I had hoped for more with - being an artifact themed set, there really isn't much to go in here which is a shame.

Inventor's Fair is I feel an auto add. Gives you free life which won't matter most of the time but its not nothing and its a tutor that doesn't take up a spot I say must add no problem. I also like Spire of Industry in your list as well its a free or you could say extra city of brass that you can tap with out taking damage if need be.
Hope of Ghirapur doesn't work with the Salvaging Station as its non creatures but man if we could that we would be great. Scrap Trawler and Treasure Keeper I am not so sure about. They are great in decks where you can control when stuff dies and goes to the yard (Breya and Goblin Pope) but I am not so sure are good fits in your deck. I too am iffy on Efficient Construction could do a lot of work if you land it early or do nothing if you top deck it late.
Also where is your Caltrops at? With Sydri its just way to funny.
Tezzeret, Master of Metal to me is a way stronger than Schemer, the -3 is killer.
Thopter Spy Network, only draws 1 card / attack, 2 for dbl strike. Bident of Thassa and even Deepfathom Skulker are better draw engines, and the new Efficient Construction can make ton of cards, esp with skullclamp/ashnods altar/ vedalken archmage.

I din't have a copy. If I had a copy it'd probably go in. I almost feel like it's on the edge of broken, but it's probably on the right side.

Neither one is as strong as Agent of Bolas; twice the number of artifacts you control is just obscene. And you can pop it turn after he drops.
I agree about the Spy Network. It's not the greatest draw engine, it crosses the line for average in draw and token generation. Believe me when I say though, this deck has no problems with draw. Vedalken Archmage is obscene, and I have enough pseudo-tutor to get what I want. So maybe Efficient Construction is the better choice. It's definitely a better token generator. Better than Thopter Foundry too.
Still loving Sydri, but I changed the deck a lot since I last posted. I changed mostly because the meta became very boardwipe heavy, making me go from a creature strategy to a Staxx approach. Staxx works well, mostly because it not only disrupts but Sydri can animate the Staxx pieces and swing, which is something no other Staxx general can do. Although, I did add aetherflux reservoir for a combo finish. Of course I know this strategy makes players frowny facey but my group really upped the power level, and I still wanna play Sydri, so this is how the deck next leveled.

Totally get it. You adapt to be competitive in your meta. Mine is not as cut throat. I have some of the tools and most of the know how to do this if needed, but I can't really see the people I play against going that way. Nice to know that Sydri can adapt to that if needed though; she's just so damn versatile.
Had an opportunity to playtest this weekend. Deck played well. It's quick - it goes from nothing to everything super quick, and is incredibly resilient - my MVP's were Muzzio, Visionary Architect, Myr Turbine and Clock of Omens. The problem I've had and continue to have is that if the board is locked out and I can't swing to any effect (in this example, I was playing 1v1 against an equally resilient deck) the deck has no other options. I really want to add something like Disciple of the Vault, or some other ways to add pressure. I'd be really grateful for some suggestions in this respect.
Out: Tamiyo's Journal - Sort of always just sat there - Construction will generate a lot more artifacts than this and I didn't ever really need the card draw. Darksteel Juggernaut - Was never the first thing I wanted to play from my hand.
In: Disciple of the Vault - FINALLY found a copy. This will absolutely slay. It rattlesnakes most of entire deck. Mind's Eye - A deathtouching, lifelinking 5/5 that draws in parity with my opponents is no laughing matter.
Out: Burnished Hart - This almost always end up being redundant. Dreamstone Hedron - Unlike Mind's Eye I can't use this and attack with it. Also this deck seems to have no problems with ramp at all.
Great thread so far. Is your focus more on Sydri's first ability, her second ability, or just having a non-degenerate esper artifact general? What is the theme of your deck?
I guess I see Sydri as an enabler for the deck. She keeps it moving forward and gives it spikes when it needs them, but I'd always kind of wanted it to just be a synergy deck. I know Sydri can be built super combo, but that isn't me. I find it boring, and I play against my wife predominantly. She'd not be impressed with that. More than any other deck I've built, this one has definitely struggled for identity, but I think that's where it is: A clockwork synergy machine, with a few engineers to keep the wheels greased, and Sydri as chief engineer/pilot. Hopefully that makes sense.
It doesn't really, heh. So what is Sydri enabling? Combat? DT blockers? Life gain? I've used to run Sydri as combo, but I want to run her as artifact value and artifact animation now. What synergies are your main focuses? In what ways do your cards attempt to work together?
I guess it's harder to give you an answer than I'd thought. I guess it's kind of an 'every situation covered' deck at present, which has meant that when I play it I'm not 100% sure what I'm aiming for.
Having said that, there are some synergies that I really like:
1.Unwinding Clock, Clock of Omens and Voltaic Key are great at generating an army with Myr Turbine or generating a TON of mana. Having said that, I'm not sure what to do with obscene amounts of mana. I have Debt to the Deathless as a win con, otherwise not sure for other adds.
2.Muzzio, Visionary Architect is ridiculous.
3. Naughty Tezzeret is a great win con.
I think the things I like about the deck are when I don't need to attack. Sydri is there as a spiky shield wall if needed. There is a lot of recursion in the deck which, looking at it at present seems a little redundant as I don't have any sacrifice outlets. Kuldotha Forgemaster would probably be a great add and I'd happily consider others.
If you have any suggestions, I would gladly take them into consideration, as this deck is still without a major identity and driving direction.
In: Noxious Gearhulk - It's going to Chainer, where it can be abused drastically. Really good card, I'm tempted to pick up another one for Sydri anyway.
I'm also thinking about adding further versatility to the tap/untap scenario by adding something like Whirler Rogue - this deck is obscene at generating tokens efficiently, so I might as well give myself options with them. It might be redundant add, but it could also be a winner.
Could be a really good add. I'm incredibly poor at present, which is why I haven't sprung for one. I've got Linvala, Keeper of Silence and Razaketh, the Foulblooded on hold at my LGS for Eldritch Bruna and Chainer respectively, wondering how long before the owner puts them back in his folders
I'd be interested in seeing your list if you have any other suggestions, checked the database and didn't see it there. I'm always nosy for more ideas for this deck.
I haven't posted my Sydri list, it is new and still a work in progress. I'm a bit more lifegain-oriented, as I will be relying on the Aetherflux Reservoir kill at times when I'm with my more competitive friends. I've only had a few games with the deck. But I've had a lot of games with Mirage Mirror (I'm testing it in 4 of my decks currently) and I'm never always happy to see it. I also have played against it a fair bit already too. I can PM you my list later if you're still interested, though a lot of it will look like yours with some minor changes.
Was there a 'not' missing here or is it a dud? I can definitely see it having a place here, but if it's mostly a dead draw I won't bother.
I'm still interested to see a list if you don't mind - I'm fairly happy with where my list is at presently, but I'm always interested in new synergies I haven't considered.

Scrap Trawler
Liquimetal Coating
Ethersworn Adjudicator
Out:
New Benalia
Metalspinner's Puzzleknot
Thopter Foundry
Soul of New Phyrexia
More gadgets, really. Still desperately want to track down an Unwinding Clock for this deck. Otherwise reasonably happy with how it's looking.
In:
Unwinding Clock - finally got a copy
Mimic Vat - could do really good things here.
Out:
Liquimetal Coating
Mirrorworks - I was loath to take it out, but Kozilek needed it more.
Out:
Myr Incubator - weird card, don't know if I see the value in using its ability.
In:
Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir - just trying it in here. Could be a game breaker, potentially.
In:
Boompile
