Evoke does hit the board long enough to be utilized so Selvala can see it as a 6/6 before it dies to make the mana.
702.73. Evoke
702.73a Evoke represents two abilities: a static ability that functions in any zone from which the card with evoke can be cast and a triggered ability that functions on the battlefield. “Evoke [cost]” means “You may cast this card by paying [cost] rather than paying its mana cost” and “When this permanent enters the battlefield, if its evoke cost was paid, its controller sacrifices it.” Paying a card’s evoke cost follows the rules for paying alternative costs in rules 601.2b and 601.2f–h.
The Evoke sacrifice is a trigger so it uses the stack. Selvala's 'draw' ability will trigger and since both evoke and Selvala are on the stack you can retain priority and use her mana ability at instant speed. So you CAN use her and evoke.
Just going through my extras and came across a gold piece. Briarhorn two drop 6 power to trigger a draw or +3 combat tricks. Or is it sacrifice timing like Phyrexian Dreadnought ?
You're awesome. I never would have discovered that card. It's always fun when an old crappy card like that becomes so golden in a deck like this. Definitely gonna find room for it.
I another good card for you if you want to clinch a win after dropping fatties or comboing out is Concordant Crossroads this will help ensure a win and it's very repeatable in this deck so you can drop it swing play something to destroy it and bring it back to your hand with eternal witness
Selvala’s last ability is a mana ability. It doesn’t use the stack and can’t be responded to. If the greatest power among creatures you control is 0 or less at that time, no mana is added to your pool.
from gatherer
Also, sick, sick mono green commander.
Id argue better than Rofellos since it has draw power triggered right on to her.
It seems obvious to me, but Omnath, Locus of Mana and Nemata, Grove Guardian are autoincludes. Also, the good Ole fashioned Kamahl, Fist of Krosa, Seedborn Muse, and Masticore combo.
Also, Tarmogoyf is playable here.
The question we should be asking at this point is not "what are we gonna do with all that tons of mana we have?" We should be asking "how can we get tons of mana so we can cast stuff?"

Woah...I know rofellos is banned and cannot fight for himself anymore, but he was the man! He didn't need a tag-along buddy to be busted. Do we forget?

Yeah, omnath is a consideration. In the meantime, here's my latest changes. I know most people won't agree with them but after heavy playtesting, I find I need to focus more on getting high power/low cmc creatures on the board and less on fancy stuff that generally doesn't really help me until I already have a strong board presence.
I played my version in some games yesterday and she seems too good well if no one has that early removal that is.
Yeah she seems amazing to me too. I'm also finding that she is quite resilient. This deck is the phoenix rising from the ashes of my old yisan deck, which is amazing when left alone but it whimpers like a baby after a couple boardwipes. Selvala rolls with the punches a lot better.
Pod seems like it either doesn't fit, or the chain needs to be worked a little. Can't really abuse it or copy it. What have your experiences been with it here?

I've really liked pod and it's been quite useful every time I drew it. My favorite is when I can pod away dryad arbor for a phyrexian dreadnought. One time I even beast within'd my own permanent so I'd have a zero cmc creature to do that with. Using it going from 6-8cmc creatures have been game-breaking. The deck is still fairly new though so I'll see how things go with it.
Have you considered Genesis Hydra? The fact that it scales means you can use it to fairly reliably increase Selvala's mana production at whatever point in the game you cast it and it also functions as an additional way to look for combo pieces like Staff of Domination.
I haven't seriously considered any of the hydras but that one is actually a pretty great suggestion. My one complaint about this deck is it stalls sometimes - it's frustrating being able to make tons of mana and having nothing to cast. So yeah I'll playtest that card and see if it makes the cut.

If you're finding yourself running out of gas at times I have to suggest Recycle - it's one of the best draw engines in G. Similarly, as you're running a lot of creatures, you could also consider Soul of the Harvest and Primordial Sage to help keep the deck running.
i run all 3 of these in my Azusa deck, in addition to Abundance. Leads to broken turns, though if somebody makes you discard ala Mindslicer, I think you would be scooping with Recycle out, unless you could recast your commander to get the chain started again

recycle is a card I never would have thought of. It's fairly old school too and I love old cards. Memory jar is another old school card I love, especially in decks that make a lot of mana.
So I finally gave in and added Omnath. It seems fairly synergistic and when you can untap sylvala with the Rangers I can see things getting out of hand in a good way.
-1 ravaging riftwurm
+1 Omnath, locus of mana
Sheltering Ancient, I'm curious how it works for you. I have this deck almost foiled out so I don't really want to buy a normal one (I'm kind of an elitist like that) and the foils are pretty hard to find. That being said, Phyrexian Soulgorger has been insane for me so...

In 1 on 1 games it's poor because your opponent often has no creatures or he only has creatures that are beating on you. In multi, its drawback is smaller because you can just pick creatures nobody wants to attack with. I usually only pay its upkeep once to get the ball rolling with selvala. Or, I play the political game by helping another player for personal gain.
The card is nothing special but there are times where I need a big cheap creature and at 5/5, I usually draw a card off him so he replaces himself.
I wish I could tell you it's super awesome and a definite staple, but I can't. It's not bad, but not great either.
I recently gave Selvala a try and she is pretty fun.
Some things that I noticed is that Selvala combos out with Great Oak Guardian + Temur Sabertooth.
Yisan is great in this deck aswell since he can tutor for fatties/untapers.
Hi! Yeah selvala is a blast. When I play her I feel like I'm playing edh the way it should be played, by smashing people with big creatures.
I already have yisan in the deck and I had sabertooth in there too for a while, but I found that I was only doing shenanigans with him after I essentially won the game already. He's quite good, but not quite good enough to make the cut but in other people's metas he might be worth it.

In playtesting I find that I usually don't have anything to cast once I have selvala in play. My next update will add cards like lupine prototype, phyrexian soulgorger, and perhaps wolfir silverheart and omnath, locus of mana.

My Selvala list is combo based which makes temur a requirement. Your list is more casual, so I can see why it didn't make the cut.
Your Yisan list is also fairly casual, so this makes sense.
