Introduction
My first exposure with Godo, Bandit Warlord was with a deck by insertcleverphrasehere. You can find his list here. The deck was very focused on equipping a creature that deals damage outside of combat, pingers, with an equipment that grants deathtouch. This was a very surprising game for me at the time. I assumed that the deck would very reliant on attacking with one large creature facilitated by Godo's ability to tutor equipment. It turns out that there were many other lines of play the deck could take. My list has some of those elements and some others but I'm not experienced with red commander decks. Any advice on reds strengths or cards I've missed would be helpful. My goal with this deck is to expand my knowledge and collect of red commander cards.
This Godo has deck three major goals: Attack with a huge creature, pings + deathtouch, and general mono red value.
I added a little bit of land quality as the deck has tons of Mountains right now. I might as well get some power out of my manabase. I really need Myriad Landscape. I don't need Gamble, its a very powerful card but there is no 'one card' this deck needs to operate. Its better suited to another deck I'm working on. Faithless Looting replaces it. Goblin DarkDwellers isn't very good in this list and is better replaced by Urabrask. He fits my legends theme and he is a good card all around. O-Nag and Gorgon flail are redundant pieces of equipment of which I have many. I added Outpost Siege for card draw and Feast and Famine for winning all hardlike. I'm not currently trying to 'optimize' this deck, but if I was I would find a replacement for the Kaldra set as well. Maybe in the future.
Hello, like the deck. I have a Kumano deck with quite a few similarities.
Blasphemous Act is something you may want to add and is generally considered red's best board wipe. All is Dust would be really good as well with the amount of colorless cards you're running.
In my opinion 15 equipment is too many. Because you have Godo as you're commander you aren't reliant on drawing equipment to have access to it as you can get whatever equipment you want when you cast him. I'd consider cutting some that serve similar purposes and keep at least one of each type so you still have the toolbox.
Sword of Feast and Famine may be the best equipment for Godo with his second attack phases, untapping your lands twice in one turn.
Outpost Siege is a great option for some much needed card draw in red.

Thats a good suggestion. I could probably add some more utility to the deck and remove some redundancy. Ill be sure to post the changes you insipried.
seize the day is pretty good with Godo, netting you a few more combat swings.
sword of feast and famine is really good when you have instant speed spells in your deck, and can get a little crazy when you have something like winding canyons to help flash stuff out mid-combat.
If you end up reliably giving Godo first-strike or evasion (like from akroma's memorial), then inquisitor's flail is an absolute beast, acting like another damage-doubler that you may have more influence over.
You forgot the best ping card in the game... Especially with DT. Goblin Sharpshooter, clears the whole board for you!
Great suggestion. I really like Nim Deathmantle as well. I saw that in your list.
Ah I should update the deck ^^. I was going to replace the Nim Deathmantle for an extra mana rock.
And with the coming of EMA, I'm planning to add a Winter Orb in my list. I'll update my list, good to have another Godo player! ^^

Good ideas. I've floated the idea of SoFaF as its a very powerful equipment. It does provide amazing snynergy with Aggravated Assault if I can reliably trigger the sword. I really like the flail as well as it's an equipment that I can search for to double damage. Gratuitous Violence is good but I must rely on drawing it.
Is Nim Deathmantle not good? It seems like good utility on an equipment.
I really liked the first section of Nim Deathmantle, the intimidate looked really sweet.
Until I took a closer look at it... "and is a black zombie". (Nim Deathmantle’s color-changing and type-changing effects override the equipped creature’s previous colors and creature types. After Nim Deathmantle becomes equipped to a creature, that creature will be a black Zombie, not any other colors or creature types.)
Since black is a fairly common color in EDH, it got blocked more often than I wished it did.
I also found it annoying to hold open the extra mana. Most of the times when I play Godo (on Cockatrice for the moment), I tend to tap all out.
What's your experience with the card so far? =)

I've never played the card in Godo before. My experience with it is that its hard to dedicate the 4 mana to it every turn. As soon as you tap out you get hit with removal. I was thinking that it might be good in conjuncture with Feast and Famine so that you will have some untapped mana. Honestly I was looking for a more experienced Godo player's opinion on it. I've got two games in with the deck in paper magic. I used to play Godo, ironically enough, on cockatrice but that was 2 years ago.

I had Nim Deathmantle in my very first Godo build, like back in 2013, but I literally never tutored for it or wanted to draw it. It is more of a combo card in my eyes, like wurmcoil + deathmantle + ashnod's altar kinda thing. In my list I try to keep the equipment to a minimum, like less than 10 in the deck total (the reason for this is to keep the deck from being too clunky). The real issue with the card is that it does cost in fact way too much to try to hold up the mana for it's ability. It is nice if you have Sword of Feast and Famine with it, so that the cost is basically non-existent. But at that point, if you are casting Godo twice (to assemble the "combo" reliably), to get SoFaF and then the Deathmantle, you are probably better off getting another Sword of X and Y rather than the deathmantle right? You can get Godo to 7 power which 3 hit kills people, and gets you ton of value from the sword triggers. That is just my 2 cents.

Goblin Dark-Dwellers only has 5 targets in your deck. How has he been pulling his weight?
It would've been great if you could cast instants/sorceries from your opponents their graveyard, but alas that's not the case.

I haven't been able to cast it yet. I want the card to work so I want to test it a little more. I have noticed there is a low amount of targets for it. I might work in Wheel of Fortune at some point and I'm always looking for more cards to try.

Some people would vote against it, but I find that Lightning Bolt has it uses.
It can take out a fair amount of generals, utility creatures and planeswalkers.

I did some changes that you helped inspire. I didn't add Goblin Sharpshooter. Its a very powerful card but I feel that using it is too 'easy.' Once it has deathtouch, there is no choice of which creatures to kill. No reason to wait on using it. Its very powerful to kill all creatures you want, but right now I would rather have the challenge.

I run Caged Sun and Sword of the Animist seems to survive long into games. I still have room for better lands though.
Lets talk about Blade of Selves. This card seems incredible. If you can trigger this while its attached to Godo... I don't see how you can loose from there. You let the tokens die to the legend rule so you aren't getting damage but damn..
1.) Assemble Kaldra
2.) Get every sword of x and y
Multiple combat steps! Seriously, you will have every equipment in your deck in play.
Add that is just equipped to Godo. This blade is good on every creature in my deck that says "when this enters the battlefield" on it. You can combine it with Darksteel Plate so that the creature lives through combat and you're just 'drawing' 3 extra cards a combat phase. You can copy it with Masterwork of Ingenuity so you have two creatures going nuts. It synergizes with In the Web of War, Warstorm Surge, AND Purphoros, God of the Forge. Blade of Selves in 100% going in the deck once I get my hands on one.

I have not tested the card so take this win a grain of salt, but if you are putting a lot of your equipment into play, you better be able to win that turn(take and additional combat step after your first two or W/E), because a lot can go wrong if all of you equipment gets destroyed by a Vandalblast or a Bane of Progress, etc. so keep that in mind when playing.
Personally I only have a few spots dedicated to "utility" equipment (which is what I would categorize the Blade as and thus would never run it) but our builds differ greatly from each other(you are less all in on the Godo plan than I am for example) so if you feel you have the slot for it, by all means.
I just wanted to give my 2 cents on what I feel is a win more card that doesn't really do all that much.

I know my meta pretty well and it should be okay. I knew that artifact hate would be a weakness of this deck when I started building it. If my stuff gets destroyed its all good it happens. I'm willing to try it out and see how it goes. I appreciate the opinion though, I should be careful about over extending. Sometimes I get overly excited about new tech.
If 'pingers' is it's own section, should you not also include Quietus Spike as an equipment? Between and baselisk collar, should you also include Goblin Sharpshooter?

I have dyslexia, no I am not going to spell check for you, yes you have to live with the horrors of it.
Full disclosure, I haven't played this deck in about a year. Its totally possible I will revisit Godo, but at the moment I haven't played him in a while.
Quietus Spike is a fine option honestly. I purposely avoided Goblin Sharpshooter because of how it removes all choices. You might be able to kill a lot of creatures or all creatures a player controls with this build. But you cannot just destroy all the creatures you want (until someone removes the combo). I would start with sharpshooter first if that is what you want to do. He goes very well in the deck as I already run Matron and Recruiter.
The stars must align, but goblin sharpshooter with deathtouch can make it easier for Gogo to not get blocked, meaning Sword of X and X gets it's effects twice.
Your other 'pingers' can also do this. But since you can tutor up goblins very easaly you can often find the combo. And your have nice redundancy with the combo.

Since you're not using any mana doublers you can allow yourself to use utility lands.
Add some flavor and haste with the great Hall of the Bandit Lord, draw power with Mikokoro, Center of the Sea (or the worse Sea Gate Wreckage)!

Your other 'pingers' can also do this. But since you can tutor up goblins very easaly you can often find the combo. And your have nice redundancy with the combo.
