My Omnath, Locus of Rage deck ...it lacks blue or black so i can play it in a slower meta and its loads of fun still a work in progress but after 2 days of testing it feels pretty good
unorganized list as of yet just exported from mtgo will reorganize later
Ramp package: Estimated 16-17 items. Some are multipurpose, allowing you to do more with the same amount of deck space.
There's definitely more than what I counted given the deck that I'm looking at. In any case, unlike most decks, flooding on ramp is generally not actually bad given that playing lands accelerates your main method of winning. This allows you to be light on other wincons and produce an overall more consistent deck.
Draw package: Estimated 9+ items. This is good. It means you can count on seeing one in a game.
37 lands is adequate for the amount of ramp you carry and appropriate given the overall mana curve.
Removal: 6 mostly-unconditional, 8 otherwise. A little light, but generally what I'd expect out of these kind of builds. If you're the aggressor, you only want to hit things that seriously need to be dead.
So my first game with regal force in the deck goes like this
1 land hand mull to 7
1 land hand mull to 6
4 lands mana crypt tooth and nail scry land to bottom
turn 1 draw gilded lotus play land pass
turn 2 draw coursair of kruphix play land and coursair see mana reflection on top of deck kruphix dies to a 1 mana kill enchantment card
turn 3 gilded lotus pass
turn 4 tooth and nail for reagal force + avenger zenidkar draw 6 one guy scoops
turn 5 play mana relfection garruck wildspeker freyalisa making an elf and elemental bond
turn 6 cast general followed by gensiswave for 20+ last man standing goes to -496 life after attack phase i have like 20+ cards in my hand
Yes it's in my list of cards to test scapeshift and natural order both seem pretty good. I got to play this in my casual group lady night and I sucked a lot of hate it was a 6 man table and I won game 2 because I was playing carpet of flowers which is not listed here but it made a total of 21 mama by the time I won turn 6 so that's finding a permanent slot though I did know there was mono blue at the table XD. I think the next cut is Garfield pack-leader while the effect is amazing and excellent at 3 on elemental bond at 5 it's seemed much worse. I had some meta specific changes I used as well spike weaver was my tutorable answer to the faster voltron deck and I had dosan the falling leaf to deal with 4 decks packing counters one of which plays like 20 but we got 3 games on and I ate a lot of counterspells XD. I may have won 2 games but I decided not to many screw th voltron guy I regretted it and I was drunk and let me cavern of souled commander get mana drained .. Lol
Being able to search up a fatty at will while making a body for Cradle seems good to me. Hell I go so far as to play Flamekin Harbinger, yes I know it doesn't put the card immediately into your hand but it does fetch a few relevant creatures.
Moxnix how cow man this deck looks great. I found it while trying to do a search for cards for my minna and denn deck and thank you for posting this here. I now see a lot of weak card choices I made in my deck that I need to cut for better ones. You have saved me a lot of time and pain
Empath seems pretty good, but i think NO gets a slot first Tempt is a tempting card and i always forget to test it the last time i remember accepting a tempting offer it ended in me killing the table with doomsday and thanking the green player very much for my win but perhaps noobs will let me ramp 4 untapped lands for 4 ? i guess it worth at least testing. Spike weaver has been pretty damn good in my meta and was even better when i tested it it gives us a way to stall vs a faster draw or faster aggressive deck. i played a 3 game series vs xenagod took a line to tutor it in both games that i went second it held him off once then but the other game won me the series.
Garrucks packleader cut not as effcient or easy to land as elemental bond dies with the team the effects excelent on my cmc 3 friend but this guys not been working out
> spike weaver
Freyalisa lanowars fury - more often than not i never get to - this and its just an expensive disenchant or lanowar elf
> Natural order
Forest
> homeward path
Forest
> carpet of flowers
Testing slot
- perilous forrays i was so hyped for this card its just not been performing very well.... its not greater good XD.
test cards
+ tempt with discovery / clex /empath / rude awakening / regrowth
playing this right now in paper with primetime in my "test" slot having fun with it update op and make cleaner at some point
Yeah Spike Weaver is one of the most dangerous things to face as Xenagod. It's a creature so spot removal is hard to come by. We can't even tutor for removal to get rid of it unless I warp the deck to play suboptimal creature removal on a stick.
How about Boseiju, Who Shelters All and Price of Glory vs the blue decks. Boseiju can be tutored, and Price of Glory has a longer lasting effect than the 2 blasts you play (which are pretty narrow).
Leap has been excellent Boseiju is ok but there are not a whole lot of spells need that protection and its a colorless etbt painland. I had considered running Dosan the falling leaf as its tutor-able and does something similar to price of glory. I also still feel like it could be more consistent in its flow like maybe - 1 business spell 1 land + 2 harmonize/CA ramp type spells. so far in testing i have not missed forays regrowth has actually been excellent which i guess should not suprize me, I also liked the tempt with discovery the other cards didn't really impress me so much as of yet. the more ways to find cradle i play the mroe i want to play cards like emrakul's hatcher as well so if tempt comes with say crop rotation that might be a great card.
I recently cut Tempt as my table has finally caught on to the meta behind it. I still love the card and may run it again in my build, but so often it's just Reap and Sow as everyone is wise enough to just say no lol. For about a year in my group it seemed that whenever one or more players took the offer on a tempt, the player casting it got a dominant board position and likely won the game. And for all those saying "I'll take the offer and just tutor up strip mine herp derp!", most of these decks like Azusa, Titania, Omnath are running Petrified Field and other regrowth effects.
Of course, any card that tutors Cradle is always in the maybeboard. However I decided to test Realms Uncharted in its slot and have been greatly impressed.
i just finish building mine and it's doing great. i find parallel lives is great but i see you have doubling seasoning and i feel like you only need one and not the other. i played around with the tempt especially with the token one. i didn't like it and now trying elemental mastery. it does well with big creatures and passive damage enabler like warstorm surge. a great card is the chandra, flamecaller. can wipe boards and draw cards. the +1 gives you 2 elemental tokens that are 3/1 until end of turn. so you can sac them to evolutionary leap or what not and if your commander is out it will do 6 damage guarantee. if elemental bond is out you draw 2 cards and if you have doubling season out double those effects. same with rakka mar
another card i'm testing out currently is In the Web of War. so far i'm really liking it. on turn 7 without ramp a avenger of zendikar puts up 21 damage.
No problem I will be uploading some more I love this deck it's super fun I have made some slight changes from the OP and will update it soon as well as organize it. I have really liked a new card I just added in traverse the ulvenwald I had not played it anywhere before and it's been excellent I think I cut something high in the curve for it so it's a strict upgrade early and honestly as a card that funds cradle and any creature I want late game for 1 pretty impressive so far.

I should take notes from how you build decks.

Have you considered Scapeshift? Can combo off both Omnath and Titania.

BTW what do you think of Fierce Empath for this deck? Tutors for game-finishers (Craterhoof Behemoth), value (Kozilek, Butcher of Truth Avenger of Zendikar), or card draw (Regal Force).

I've played around loads of hate like Frozen Aether (dodged via Sneak Attack), Overburden, even Solitary Confinement (removal or Malignus eats the guy), but Spike Weaver is literally one of the hardest things to fight. Even Constant Mists I can stop with a Dosan the Falling Leaf plus a creature that one-shots
