This is sort of a generic goodstuff approach to Marath. I really didn't make a lot built around the commander centrally but there are some more subtle things in the deck like making a 1/1 token and then dropping Pattern of Rebirth / Natural Order on it. I also have Basilisk Collar and Skullclamp in deck with ways to tutor for them with their primary objective being interacting with the commander. Overall though I am not pushing to be a token deck here but I feel she gives me access to a lot of general tools I like. I considered the possibility of running more focus on Marath but decided against it in the end. Its possible that it could take the commander into consideration more with things like Bow of Nylea or Death's Presence / Primeval Bounty but for now I am ok with where I am on her support.
So I put this deck together and played it two games last night. I ended up 2 for 2 with it against an annoying Prossh deck so it was fun in that I managed to not die horribly to Prossh which has been annoying in the last few weeks on and off.
Game 1:
T1: land, sol ring T2: land, Martyr's Cause T3: land, Commander. The prossh player had been just shy of playing his commander on turn 3 and was looking low on cards in hand but looked like he might play his commander turn 4. I used a counter from Marath and killed a mana dork he had which pushed him at least another turn off. I use another counter to make a 1/1 token. T4: land, Pattern of Rebirth on the token. The riku player had played an Oblivion Stone just before me on this turn. T5 Prossh plays an acidic slime to hit the Oblivion Stone as he has a skullclamp he wants to get to use. I sacrifice my Pattern of Rebirth token and fetch an Academy Rector who I also sacrifice and I get a Lurking Predators in play to see what value I can drum up.
From here, we end up going several turns where nothing huge happens. I end up flipping a bunch of creatures off of Lurking Predators and end up with Karametra, God of Harvests + Xenagos, God of Revels in play at the same time. I end up using my Martyrs Cause plus some tokens to sort of fend off attacks in the air from a UW player who is playing Ojutai, Soul of Winter as his commander. I turn sideways quite a bit on the Prossh player and really just beat him to death. He ends up conceding on the turn where the riku deck was apparently going to save him with an overloaded cyclonic rift. I end up forcing him to pop it anyways when I start trying to chaingun some tokens with skullclamp.
Its down to a 3 player game at this point. I flip my Lurking Predators back into play. We build back up in general. The riku deck ends up getting an Eldrazi Memorial in play with an Avenger of Zendikar army that he buffs with Master Biomancer. I end up casting an Austere Command for artifacts and big creatures which hurts me a bit but the riku deck was a little out of control. I play my Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger, wolf run him for 2 and Xenagos buff him up to being a 18/15 and swing at Riku. Riku has some 3/4 tokens but I still have Martyr's Cause with several goblin tokens from a Siege Gang so he cant really trade with it.
Riku puts up some more defense but I end up on my next turn doing a wolf run for 18 on Alesha, Who Smiles at Death followed up with Xenagos, God of Revels buff turning her into a 42 / 23 first striker with trample which ended him. The following turn I did the same to the remaining UW player.
Game 2:
It was almost a great opening hand except I was missing one of my colors as I had a colorless land in hand and two basics. I ended up having sort of a rough start missing land drops. The other Naya token deck cast a Tempt with Discovery and like.... almost everyone took him up on it annoyingly. I had to because I was missing land drops and a color. From there though I managed to get my commander in play with an Ashnod's Altar. Prossh had gotten his Gaea's Cradle off of the Tempt with Discovery which is really bad for us. Prossh also plays a Fecundity and sets up for some good turns.
Prossh is doing horrible horrible things as he plays his commander, taps the cradle for a ton of mana and then chain guns his tokens for draw. Its... bad.
I sac Alesha, Who Smiles at Death and replay my commander getting another land and draw. Prossh ends up doing more drawing and then plays Purphoros, God of the Forge + his commander with 10 tokens generated which does 22 to all of us. At the rate he is going we all die next turn. The other Naya deck is set up with flying indestructible 2/2 tokens with 11 of them hiding behind an Eldrazi Monument.
It comes back to my turn and it looks super hostile from a lot of angles. I had end of turn split off four tokens from my commander so using Ashnod's Altar I sac a few of the tokens and play a Pattern of Rebirth on a token by tapping just a single green and floating a colorless. I then sacrifice that to Ashnod's Altar and fetch up Bane of Progress because there is way too much hostile artifacts / enchantments in play. I sacrifice all of my remaining creatures including the Bane of Progress with his ability on the stack for mana to float 9 colorless. I am doing the math and I am not quite where I want to be to do everything I want to do so I play my Shard Pheonix. I Chord of Calling for 6 using the Shard Pheonix in the convoke as its making up the one missing mana I need to do all of this. I get Duplicant and take out Prossh. Prossh is really confused by this play. I then once that is resolved play a Basilisk Collar and equip it to the Shard Pheonix. Killing prossh was to keep him from sacrificing his tokens The Bane of Progress was to take the Naya decks tokens to the ground as well as remove Fecundity before killing the creatures. I end up popping the Shard Phoenix on the Naya player's turn and gaining 64 life from its hit.
Overall, it went really well. If anything I could use a little more draw / ramp. I really like the deck so far though. I really wish the best creature way to remove gods I have access to wasn't Silverchase Fox. I will have to consider either more lifegain or some additional ways to deal with gods. Silverchase Fox is kind of up there on my list of things I dont really want to run if I can help it. Additional ramp and draw would be good as well so I might consider Solemn Simulacrum which is a good compromise of the two together.
It looks like my list doesn't 100% reflect my IRL list either as I had Shard Phoenix in my IRL list where it looks to be missing up above. I will see what I can do to get them to match moving forward.

Creatures that can remove gods in your colors...
Brutalizer Exarch, and maybe the new World Breaker. Can't think of any others
Brutalizer Exarch might be something to consider but some of these decks run a lot of tutor so its rough just putting them back and not removing those gods sometimes.
T1: fetchland into an ABU land, Enlightened Tutor for Sol Ring T2: land, Sol Ring, I have a Green Sun's Zenith but I know my targets for ramp are 3+ mana so I unfortunately cant do it this turn. Steelshaper's Gift for Skullclamp instead. T3: land, Green Sun's Zenith for Oracle of Mul Daya and play a land off the top. (in retrospect I might have accidentally played 3 lands this turn looking back on my next turn) T4: Two lands off the top, Commander, make 2 tokens, drop skullclamp and clamp twice. Jeleva drops in play this turn with a Lightning Greaves and manages to find my Austere Command. He hits for artifacts and small creatures killing my commander and my sol ring / skullcmap as well as some small creatures across the field + his own Lightning Greaves. T5: I replay my commander and find some more lands. Oracle + those 4 cards I drew are helping me out. My opponents do some small stuff. Jeleva plays a Jaces the Mind Sculpter and sits his commander as a blocker for it. Trostani gets his commander in play a little late for some reason but its not mana related. I cant really remember what he was doing in the early game but it was probably ramping. T6: I drop and equip a Basalisk Collar and shoot down Jeleva's commander and swing at Jace to kill him. I keep the ramp game up finding lands in good quantity with my oracle. I sit back with mana up. Jeleva wheels and I drop some spot removal removing Trostoni's Sylvan Library and disrupting Selvala's commander temporarily with an unexpectedly absent since I dont really need it but cast it into the wheel anyways. Selvala plays a Pithing Needle and I am tapped out as I cast into my wheel. Trostani drops an Emeria Shepherd and brings back his Sylvan Library. T7: I drop Purphoros, God of the Forge and Green Sun's Zenith (it came back lol) for a Reclimation Sage killing the Pithing Needle opening my removal back up. Jeleva dislikes my removal stick and opts to Traumatize (I have questioned why he runs this multiple times but he still thinks that he might mill someone out) me because he doesn't want to play things into the Basilisk Collar. Selvala plays a Sun Titan targeting the Pithing Needle. I kill his Sun Titan, Trostoni's commander + Emeria Shepherd in response and he names Marath again. I cant recall what Trostoni does this turn. T8: I Genesis Wave for 10 with all 10 cards being permenants and going into play. The highlights (what I can remember) of this are Eternal Witness, Spike Weaver, Karmic Guide, Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, Shard Phoenix, Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger. Karmic Guide rezes Reveillark who was put there by the Traumatize, the Eternal Witness recovers an Unexpectedly Absent as an option in case bad things happen and I pass turn after doing like 14 damage to everyone. Someone tries to wrath. I Kiki-Jiki a Reveillark and essentially just flip my boardstate back into play on them doing another 10 damage or so. I end of my opponents turns drop a Ruric Thar in off of Kiki copying the Karmic Guide. T9: I Unexpectedly Absent a Wurmcoil Engine that the Selvala deck has and swing a Ruric Thar + Vorinclex at Selvala with some smaller stuff elsewhere. I then play my commander for 7 mana and pull all of her tokens off as 1/1s killing essentially everyone who is still alive with Purpheros.
All in all, that game went quite well. The Oracle of Mul Daya lived essentially all game and it got me crazy amounts of value just by random luck finding lands almost every turn getting me multiple land drops. Looking back I might have accidentally put one too many lands in early on when I got the Oracle as I remember dropping Marath + 2 tokens off of her + Skullclamping them in the same turn. It was a very good game for me I guess
I dont have much for changes yet as I have only played the deck a bit and so far it has done well with where it is so I guess I will play it more and see if I cant identify some weak cards.
I had another kind of silly game with Marath last night. I felt bad as I had just won two games in a row with Krond so I moved to another deck as people were not super happy with my Krond deck lol.
My opening hand was decent, it was a little concerning as I only had two lands in hand but it turned out to work ok for me.
T1: Land T2: Land, Sakura-Tribe Elder T3: (I topdeck a land) Land, Farhaven Elf T4: (I topdeck a land) Land, Marath. End of my opponents turns I Chaos Warp my elf for kicks as I hope to find another land or just random value. I get a Spike Weaver but I guess it didn't whiff on me. T5: I pull a counter off Marath for a token, I put Pattern of Rebirth on the token and hold up one last mana to ping it with my commander at end of turn. I end of turn ping it and flip it into Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger T6:Genesis Wave for 9. I get a Lurking Predators, 4 lands, a land ramp dork, and some stuff I cant recall. My opponents start playing and I flip an Eternal Witness recovering Genesis Wave off my Lurking Predators. Most of my opponents cast random things that dont matter to me. The last player ends up killing my Lurking Predators and Vorinclex with removal. T7: Land, Genesis Wave for 9 (I had gotten 6 more lands in play lol). I manage to flip Purphoros, God of the Forge, Feldon of the Third Path, Ruric Thar, the Unbowed, Sun Titan, Ashnod's Altar, 2 lands, and some other card. I immediately get to do 8 damage to my opponents and do some attacking with my random creatures. My opponents are mostly stuck tapped out this turn from Vorinclex last turn. T8: Commander, spin off 5 tokens for 10 damage. Make a bunch of attacks on the Selvala player as I have the Mikaeus player under 6 life with a Ruric Thar in play. Selvala dies and Mikaeus cant cast non creatures so he scoops. The Keranos plays some stuff but he is at like 5 life and has no way to survive so he scoops after playing his turn.
Good game that ended very quickly. I got lucky in topdecking the lands I needed to play the hand out decently as the two land starter really needed a few lands near the top.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
How well does Shard Phoenix work? I guess he dream is to equip Basilisk Collar to it and have an instant speed wrath just sitting around, but how reliable is it to get that online and how useful is it outside of that scenario?
Also, I know you don't want to necessarily go in that direction, but I would argue that because of it's low cmc and amazing synergy with Marath Hardened Scales is too good not to play in a deck with him at the helm.
Also Iroas, God of Victory is surprisingly good in a deck like deck and can make cards like Shard Phoenix one sided.
I apologize for anyone following this deck as I have been really terrible about doing game reports / keeping it maintained here lol. I have sort of used this deck as one that I just spitball things at. It does well dont get me wrong but for whatever reason I just take cards now and then and just jam them in here lol. I have been kind of rogue about staying on list with this deck. I will try to bring the OP up to date with where I am right now.
DECK CHANGE:
Alesha, Who Smiles at Death -> Sword of the Animist I think that Alesha is fine but too often I lacked haste or targets to rez with her. She can be good but it required a lot of playing with. She might come back yet sometime in the future but for now I saw reason to go with other things instead. The sword gives me an on curve ramp with my commander as well as a third solid target for my equipment tutors.
Feldon of the Third Path -> Hardened Scales Feldon felt slow. I also wanted to make some room for Hardened Scales so I can play with just stacking counters on my commander. It really turns my mana into just all sorts of resources for my commander to play with.
Spike Weaver -> Shard Phoenix Spike weaver I had in the deck early on but I found myself using it a little too rarely so I cut it. I know I had the Shard Phoenix in the list before I cut the Spike Weaver but I have no idea offhand what was directly put in or what was not in to allow the Shard Phoenix in.
Duplicant -> Nightshade Peddler I am just moving my removal arround. Exile removal is useful but at the same time the Peddler represents repeat removal where Duplicant is single target removal.
Flameshadow Conjuring -> Evolutionary Leap just a little shift in my enchantments. I value the ability to dig for more value especially since I can peel off tokens from my commander and consume them for dig to more creatures. The flameshadow conjuring is still interesting to me but being able to sacrifice is something I like having access to especially in Naya where card advantage isnt always on your side.
Tireless Tracker is also something I am trying to work in. We will see if I get that in or not though.

In trying to stay on top of this list a little better I am trying to document changes a little better. I made the last changes last week and I haven't gotten time to play this deck again since then but I also made one more swap at that time.
DECK CHANGE:
Siege-Gang Commander -> Tireless Tracker I have actually been handling spot removal quite well with my commander of late and most of what I would want to do with Siege Gang is spot removal based. I would instead rather have some additional draw as well as less overhead considering the gang is a little riskier to just drop in with no mana up. One of the things I like about the tracker is that its actually a really solid turn 4 before you play your land drop for the turn so I can still curve my commander first in case I want to have spot removal options but that option to tracker and get the clue right away is there too.
I will see if I cant play more games with Krond and Marath this week. Korlash also has several new changes so I have kind of a list of things to get tested lol.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
I get kind of lazy about making changes here but I have had a few cards I have had my eye on for a while now:
CARD CHANGES:
Warp World -> Tragic Arrogance the problem was I always felt really really guilty executing Warp World when it was super one sided. Its kind of like MLD in a lot of cases when it is good. I got to the point for a few weeks that I was running down one card with this deck because I just felt like excluding it from the list was better than using it. I need a little more mass sweepers too which brings me to the tragic which I have had good results with.
Evolutionary Leap -> Eldritch Evolution Evolutionary Leap has just mostly been awkward for me. I have seen it a few times but I just never quite like how it looks and or functions. I want to try out the new tutor instead. Its from random value to a specific tutor which I think will be useful. I can always jump off of a one counter Marath into a 5 cost which seems good.
Tireless Tracker -> Recruiter of the Guard the tracker ended up being a little less impressive than I was hoping. Part of it might be that I have a lot of mana sinks with this deck and I perhaps could use more ramp. I like the card still but for now I dont quite know where I stand with it. The new Imperial Recruiter is obviously an auto include for a lot of reasons
Lifeblood Hydra -> Serra Ascendant the hydra has been a little awkward as its a big mana + sac outlet kind of thing. I did need the lifegain from it but I needed to just shift it somehow so I am going to see what the ascendant can do for me. The addition of a second Imperial Recruiter effect has me asking what tools I have access to and while I can always use the actual Imperial Recruiter to get Trostani, Selesnya's Voice I found myself asking if I needed a second option to lifegain from in my creature list especially that the second new white copy can fetch. I almost brought in True Conviction here which could still be added later but for now I wanted to keep my creature count up.
Watch List:
Academy Rector sometimes I feel like my sac outlets are hit or miss. I can still ping it off with my commander which is ok but of the things that I need something to die to it is sometimes a little wonky.
Considerations:
True Conviction I like the idea of an option to drop a lot of lifegain in one shot. I do have a few means of tutoring it still too but they seem somewhat limited. It seems like a useful card to me considering I have had an issue with just constant pressure from multiple directions but at the same time it seems like it lacks synergy with how I can get it and what it does for the deck outside of survival.
Resolute Archangel its a creature and it does take me from a low health back up. Zenn has long advocated for it in his Jenara list which I keep up with. I have not ever tried it myself but who knows, it could be decent.
Wall of Reverence I ran it in the past. Its nice in that its affordable to drop, it gives a good blocker who also gives me life. I could even drop a few counters on it and suddenly it can block titans.
Skyshroud Claim I could use more ramp and the pay 2 mana for 2 more lands (it gives 2 in untapped so net cost is 2) is realistically great.

I had a great 4 player game last night I think I will try to share best I can. My opponents were: Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge, Selvala, Explorer Returned, and Trostani, Selesnya's Voice.

4 player FFA game, opponents were Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, Keranos, God of Storms, and Selvala, Explorer Returned
My opening hand was decent, it was a little concerning as I only had two lands in hand but it turned out to work ok for me.
T1: Land
T2: Land, Sakura-Tribe Elder
T3: (I topdeck a land) Land, Farhaven Elf
T4: (I topdeck a land) Land, Marath.
I end of turn ping it and flip it into Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger
T6: Genesis Wave for 9.

DECK CHANGE:
Tireless Tracker is also something I am trying to work in. We will see if I get that in or not though.
