This is a deck I threw together somewhat haphazardly, and I've only recently begun refining it. The theme is spells-matter, usually winning with tokens.
Have you thought about adding a Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper as another Spell's Matter/Dude Maker card? Not to mention turning your lands into dudes plays really well with Jeskai Ascendancy.
I have thought about him, but decided against it. I feel like making my mana vulnerable to sweepers is not an ideal plan.
That said, he is certainly quite good with the Ascendancy. I'll probably try him out.
Something to remember is that you can point all of his triggers at one land if you're worried about sweepers. Or just do two lands if you want to get some beats in but you're worried about spot removal.
Brainstorm is underwhelming without a bunch of shuffle effects (which I don't have).
Faithless Looting certainly has potential. I'm more likely to stick with cards that replace themselves, though flashback is pretty nice. I'll think about it.
Deep Analysis is always on the verge of making it in, but I keep trying out other stuff first. Flashback, again, is pretty nice, but the front half is pretty bad. Maybe someday.
As for Distortion Strike, Taigam's Strike and Swiftfoot Boots, I usually don't try to kill people with my general, but rather with a swarm of tokens or a big X spell. I kinda just use him for the colors and occasionally giving 5/5 elementals doublestrike.
You're probably right about Rite of Replication over Clone Legion, but Legion is more fun. That said, I should probably find room for a Rite anyway.
With these token spell decks I find a little extra reach with my tokens via Haste enablers like anger or fervor can cause my decks to be more effective because my opponents do not get a chance to wrath before I swing.
Similarly Vicious Shadows in place of one of the bigger threat makers might be a bit more deadly. With the size of your tokens Warstorm surge might do similar.

Hi, this Shu Yun version is really pretty and inspiring me for a deck.
Looking for some cards to create my own Shu Yun version i've found Mana Echoes. Seems can give to your deck a big mana boost, for example casting spell put on battlefield many tokens in same moment.
When I've finish to work on my Shu Yun deck I will post it
David.

The manabase is rough, I know, but I'm not going to dump a bunch of money on this deck.

You know, I might have too much card advantage at this point. I'll have to think about that.
