I think we knew that by choosing Daxos we weren't signing up to be incredibly broken and fast or anythung. I was mostly arguing that if you wanted to try and make Daxos competitive, the stax route was probably the best option.
True. I've enjoyed Daxos so far, and he'll probably become my go-to "just sit down, pull out a deck and play a fun, relaxed game of EDH without drawing the ire of the whole table" sort of deck.

Finally got to play this deck a couple days ago and its AWESOME! This is the deck I've been wanting for a long time. Maybe my playgroup is just stupid but I was able to keep daxus out and rack up like 9xp counters. I made 4 tokens on my opponents' end step and then I blew up the board with an Austere Command on my turn. Took out one opponent and then the other guy just conceded.
I will keep testing but I am not 100% convinced that Daxos does much for me. He is a lot of overhead to get into play and keep him. His abilities are expensive and so is trying to get him out and put counters on him.
Well, I took a little bit more of a competitive approach to Daxos, the Returned. It's a little slow, and I haven't gotten all the correct cards for it yet, But it still plays great, and wins or places consistantly.
Of course this deck isn't up to snuff to be competitive, especially in the mana department, but I can still take games out of nowhere. I still need to find cards like Land Tax, Vampiric Tutor, and other such cards, but the deck runs good, but folds to some exile effects, like Merciless Eviction after you have your fort set up.
Anyway, let me know what you think, and if you think of any good suggestions!
So Spirit Bonds is diffenately a card I'm looking at. 2 mana, can create taken once in a while - most lists don't have many creatures - but it triggers of casting daxos and in decks using Flickerform or other blink effects, and gives Daxos a way to protect himself and other creatures - he makes spirit enchantments.
