this looks much better but i would still make a few changes something like this if you dont have twister or candelabra i would run metamorph or clever impersonator powersink is fine though too just not thrilling id almost rather have capsize or a red blast effect if you wanted that as a control slot
Seat of synod > island
Riptide Lab > island
Inner fire > reset (fireminds foresight)
Richochet trap > teferi planeswalker
Gush > Copy Artifact
Tezz gambit > Timetwister
Powersink > caldelabra
Reliquary tower > island
Temporal Fissure > Futuresight
Sulfur Falls > caged sun
Welgo, I am using your thread, Dies to Doomblades's and input from Moxnix to build this deck. I am a little slow on the uptick. What are the wincons for this deck?

you've been my guiding light for this Mox. I can't quite afford a twister of candelabra right now, but the rest I can trade for. Caged Sun will happily go back in. I'm a little upset with myself I forgot about Reset the last time I ordered
Ignite Memories is the primary, Guttersnipe and Comet Storm as back up. Pretty sure if experience counters generate high enough a few other cards can assemble a wincon. This is my first time playing storm so I'd refer more so to what Mox has to say. He has had a really good Grixis one for as far back as I can remember.
I've been using temporial fissure plus wheels for wins as well.
I'm using transmute artifact in testing over trash for treasure and it usually gets candelabra or caged sun.
I personally like volcanic vision but I can see cutting it. I haven't finished trading for everything yet so it may be a week before I show results and changes.
Edit:
But if Moxnix says something I'd go with what he says.
He's definitely more experienced in storm than me, and pretty much everyone else here
Hey guys so I've actually moved on from commander on to 60 card decks so I don't have any commander decks.
Anyway I've started my own gameplay channel in which I play games (Magic also)
I feel the same about Volcanic Vision. I really wanna test Reshape as well, I just feel like Trash for Treasure has some potential with Intuition packages, but then again I am more interested in what can be done with Mystic Retrieval. Temporal Fissure was a card I didn't want to cut. I'm hoping her deal will be that she can do one or two smaller storms as control and then proceed to win by other means. I think I've picked up so much of storm shifting leaders down the road now doesn't seem as awful, but I feel like it may make High Tide harder to play around. I love a lot of the advice I get is "cut that utility/expensive card for another island." I just ordered 20+ of Mark Poole's Purple Island (the one for the foil arena promo) and I'd really like to jam as many of them in here as I can.
Welgo, I am very familiar with Moxnix's Jeleva Grixis Storm thread. I made a quick note of the red and blue cards he is playing which are not on your list. They are:
Pyroblast
Swan Song
Red Elemental Blast
Chain of Vapor
Copy Artifact
Hurkyl's Recall (he uses this to bounce his artifacts of which he is playing at least five more)
Counterspell
Timetwister
Laboratory Manic (Doomsday inclusion)
Futuresight
Mind Over Matter
Reset, Phyrexian Metamorph, Teferi Temporal Archmage, Capsize, and Caged Sun were recommendations he made that are not in Jeleva.
I have Hurkyl's Recall on maybeboard but I kept it out because for now netting some colorless may not even be worth the U, which is what I've been the most concerned with (Netting colorless or red mana by spending colored mana.) as well as most of the other cards there, but right now theyre a bit stale just because from other decks. I've won too many games with Copy Artifact over in Sharuum and protected it with Swan Song, so I want to try some new cards. Lab man was something I wanted to veer away from, but I still have a foil in a binder I've refused to trade. Caged Sun and Future Sight are probably the first to go in.
Welgo, I have posted on your Sharuum thread. I play at Excelsior in Birmingham, Alabama where the meta is not competitive and have taken apart our favorite Sphinx. I know as you are a Sharuum expert; Moxnix is a storm expert.
I am going to make all the changes short of Candelabra and Timetwister which I do not own. Futuresight seems slightly less effecient given the abscence of Doomsday. Resolving Mind Over Matter usually meant game over in Moxnix's deck. I am assuming Moxnix figures Mizzix's cost reduction makes this less valuable than access to additional cards provided by Futuresight.
Lab Man is exclusive to Doomsday builds. Hurkly's Recall is much better in his build with the additional artifacts that tap for colored mana.
I am very happy you, Moxnix and Dies_to_Doomblade are on the case. Thanks for responding to my novice questions and inane musings.
I actually think Labman is viable here.
I've had plenty of games where I cast Mind's Desire multiple times up to 50+ cards exiled in one turn.
Doing anything like Temporal Fissure + Wheels means you have the game but sometimes the labman kill is better since you're drawing Fifty-Five thousand cards and have 4+ counters exiled and 15 floating mana.
Still needs more testing of course, and maybe this deck just needs black to be actually viable in competitive areas but I'm sure it can do what it needs to do without it.
I can't wait to finish up my decklist. I picked a poor time to trade off most of my collection...ugh

Yeah, I think it has the potential to function on its own, it's just a matter of what tools are needed. I have to proxy leader and the sorcery cause by today they were the only cards from it I needed...but in the end I spent about what it'd cost to get three decks, which I was considering before getting so into Izzet. All of your test results have me really amped.

Hey man, nothing is really novice, it's just uninformed. I'm just starting to try storm myself so there's no distinguishing between us. As to Future Sight and Lab Man, I think either are viable. With all the artifacts I'm not as afraid of trying out some more expensive cards that provide some serious value, and if there's one thing I miss from my early commander days is the realm of card advantage provided by Future Sight. No matter what draw you add, it still provides something beyond that. I don't know how relevant it will be, but I'm willing to test it. I think Lab Man can play outside of Doomsday if you have the draw and control. I had it as an alt win con in Sharuum a while back, but that was of course before I could afford some of the more competitive cards. For now I think it's best to just be open to testing everything, her ability is volatile and seems like it can get out of hand off while goldfishing, which is the most attractive quality to the whole deck style.
Future top goes in every blue deck I run it wins games and uses cards that are both excellent auto include power level ok thier own. Temporal fissure is fine but dependent on the general and doesn't actually kill and at any point that it wins minds desire wins more as far as tutoring it goes. The other time warps are not within your budget so your more likely to take lines where you want to play your general and it will die some of those times ideally you can go hightide > general > untapped spell > wheel/ large draw spell best case secnario spiral then > minds desire > game over. Once you have future sight combo grapeshot/ lab man are solid kill conditions. Helm of awakening is already excellent here compelling the future top convo though cards like mind over matter are great as well to supplant grapeshot but not nessasary. I would 100% run the teferi here though if it boards you should just win and it's another hightide card you can easily go hightide > teferi > untaps and even if you don't win that turn you have a minimum of a ramps 4 or if you wigged due to cards you get to dig. When your doing things like copying caged Suns he is pretty much reading "cast your hand if you hit minds desire game over"
SOme things worth mentioning from testing: Intuition/Mystic Retrieval packages are absurd. I got Mystic Retrieval, Wheel of Fortune, Time Spiral. Ended up winning without even needing to touch Spiral just from other wheels leading to what I assume is standard for Izzet explosiveness. The x counterspells are cool cause you can cast them for storm count without messing with your stack. Desperate Search is crazy powerful here.
Haha, yes Frantic Search. Untapping blue mana is great, I see why Teferi walker will be so good. I kind of posted that real quick without proofreading. I won with Ignite Memories with a storm count of 40~. It was one game, but it worked as planned. As I said, it was neat to be able to put the counterspells into storm count since they all end up requiring me to pay 0. I doubt it's a selling point, but worth mentioning none the less. As for primer, I may make mine into it if no one else does, but it'd probably be a high tide still and I doubt thats all everyone will play. I really enjoy the leader, so unless I get too dedicated to storm and go into Grixis, I'll probably always be tuning her so I feel like I could give an informative post. I'm glad to see this get responses and feedback. Easily the most fun I've had building a deck since my very first.
I'm curious if Vedalken Orrery is any good in this deck, is the card slot worth being able to cast our sorceries at any time?
Even if you don't make it a primer and addition to OP explaining your win conditions and how you achieve them would be great it's a fun deck but it's not the easiest to pilot so that kind of info would be great
the spells were reduced to a mana, and added to experienced count. Then I figured wheel off and try to get more mana, and it just exploded. I'm tempted to add Call to Mind just because I was just in a state where everything I needed was around to keep going, so paying U to either draw more more add mana seemed super viable. I know it isn't enough games to conclude anything, but it was the first thing I thought since it was all redundant cards-which usually means it should be a common scenario. I also had JtMS out t4 which bit removal that Mizzix later didnt, so perhaps this clock was rare. Idk, I just figured post everything I was thinking. Was able to get her to two counters, cast Frantic Search and then it was just cards from there.
AH yes, sorry I overlooked that. I don't think a card slot to make cards instant speed is worth it. If it doesn't somehow generate mana, I don't see it being worth a slot, I feel like there are too many artifacts already. Interpret the Signs is a little too commander conditional. I like Flow of Ideas for now because it seems a little more reliable. With signs you may feel obligated to take a big spell to draw, even if the spell isnt as a relevant as say, High Tide
I get what you're saying about it being commander reliant but with the scry it doesn't matter as long as one of the cards is three or greater you get all of them plus the bonus of moving any lands out of the way. Even the worst case scenario where your top 4 cards are land at least you get three of them out of the way
