I thought about City of Solitude but i fear that it will restrict me too much.
Something will be cut for Grove Rumbler and Greenwarden of Murasa and maybe Oblivion Sower once they are out.
I think the ramp is very high , but maybe Ill add Oracle of Mul Daya too.
Wow, and how could I forget Solemn Simulacrum???
I have to find a spot for him or just cut Sakura-Tribe Elder for him.
Iam not sure how good Evoke Elementals would be in this,
they would only do something when Omnath is online, ugh.
Stuff like: Ivy Elemental (for X=0) = 3 Damage from Omnath's trigger (a green lightning bolt, have you seen this before??). Ingot Chewer
Some funny cards would be: Vigor (shoot those 3 dmg from Omnath on a creature you control = +3/+3) Tyrant of Discord gotta love red for the chaos, so why not play it
Edit: Sorry for the sloppy decklist, I can't get it done better. Here is a link
Phytotitan looks like the MVP of the party, why he's not here ?
I don't see either the second part of the usual landfall combo Burgeoning + Ghost Town.
Maybe a Spawnwrithe could make the cut to lower the curve if needed. Rumbling Slum is also a good idea to get a cheap beater.
Well if you manage to get some Spawnwrithe in play before dropping Omnath, your opponents are in trouble, but I get that it's not a must have card
As for Phytotitan, coming back tapped is irrevelant, he's a fodder/trigger for a lot of cards in the deck and is immune to nearly all removals. Getting your Omnath trigger every turn for sure + using Greater Good at the same time (And we can even add Where Ancients Tread in the process) is something to deal with pretty quickly.
Amulet of Vigor might be worth testing. Besides speeding up your ETB tapped lands and spells it untaps Phytotitan and can end the game if you have Perilous Forays and Omnath, Locus of Rage on the battlefield. Allowing you to essentially bolt the whole table an amount of times equal to the number of lands still in your deck.
Yes, Amulet of Vigor is very nice in this setup when you take a look at all the cards that give you things that CITP.
I updated my list here and put some more protection, carddraw and ramp in it. I am still desperately looking for s slot to fit Hull Breach in. With Darklings comment I also have to make room for Perilous Forays again...
(Is there a trick with embedding the deck from Tappedout? There is a export option for mtgsalvation but it looks broken )
Also, I'd like to know how OP is doing with his deck any updates?
Hi guys, I'm certainly no expert player, but I threw together a list with some cards I had floating around. relatively budget, but still fun, and a fantastic, synergistic deck all around.
I thought I'd list some cards for everyone's consideration, and give my thoughts on them.
Firstly, I should mention I run 6 usable Sac outlets in the 100, so when I cast Firecat Blitz, I can take advantage of the many 1/1 elementals I spawn, and then save 2 mana for a recast to usually win if necessary.
This also means that tempt with vengeance is powerful, definitely not a fair card in this deck.
combine that with the fact that I usually have purphuros on board, and it's just great value.
Next up there is of course bane of progress. This card is great, solves problems, saves games, but considering how heavy I run on enchantments, I usually just sandbag him until I absolutely need to drop it. Still, relevant creature type, strong effect.
up next is rubblehulk, which has only won me one game to this point, but after clearing blockers with omnaths bolts, swinging for lethal commander was a neat trick, but he also acts as a good defensive creature. I don't know if I'll be keeping him in.
I decided since I was going to be doing a lot of saccing, or bolting, having a hoarding dragon makes perfect sense, it can grab a sweet artifact that will usually push me into a win, hammer of purph, skullclamp, amulet of vigor, etc.
moving onto some ramp I don't see folks playing, I wanted to mention three specifically. Restore is a great choice, with all the fetches I'm playing or my opponents are playing, it's 2 mana for 2 landfall triggers, good at any point of the game.
next would be Far wanderings, which I never hate having, it's a ramp spell, that if topdecked after a few good turns turns into three elementals
my last specific ramp card isn't exactly a strong early play, but is still good, on par with far wanderings, primal growth, with a kicker that throws a bolt, it also grants us 2 elementals, and the lands come in untapped naturally, a fun card every time I cast it.
I'll end this discussion with a metagame call I made for my deck. I play in a few groups that LOVE ramping, they mull every time into as much ramp as possible (mostly U/G/x players), so I figured Tunnel Ignus would be a fun card. A quick check on the rulings will tell you that an explosive vegetation = takes 6 please. It also slows down your opponents fetches, usually a great way to keep my opponents behind while I stall the game. also makes new frontiers an amazing play ;P
I'd love to hear any comments or criticism, or just what you think of these cards. They're clearly not for all playgroups, but I've been having a blast with my new favorite commander.
also, I'm wondering how many land fetching spells are too many, I probably overdo it with 16, but I Love dropping that turn 4 omnath.
EDIT: thanks for the suggestion overcast, I almost never actually post, usually just lurk.
Hey all, I'm developing a list for our new Omnath, and I would love some comments or constructive criticism on it. The tappedout list is below. I've got ~95% of the parts already but don't plan on putting the list on MTGS until I start physically sleeving the cards up. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/omnath-artillery/
The direction I'm going with it is, of course, ramping for days and days and blasting people for tons of damage, but also utilizing a decent amount of utility (ie some board control, etc). I'm also running a decent amount of mana sinks (that's why Cinder Elemental's here) thanks to the copious globs of mana it can produce and I surely don't want to waste that mana. I feel like I might be able to include more sac outlets and ways to gain card advantage, though I'm worried about Greater Good and accidentally decking myself in the late game.
Some other random things - I'm looking into acquiring a Crucible of Worlds for the deck. Crucible's already powerful with Fetches in ordinary decks, but in this deck it just feels insane. In regards to Perilous Forays, it feels like doing the whole sac-token-landfall-token loop should only be done when A. Omnath is in range of blasting someone down, B. if there are enough triggers on board to reap tons of value, and/or C. we're using other tokens for the sacking (from Elemental Mastery, Tempt with Vengeance, Zendikar's Roil, etc). The reason I bring this up is that, though plentiful, lands are still a finite resource in our decks and it's actually possible to run out of lands (and thus, landfall triggers) in a long, drawn-out game. Lastly, I'm super excited for the day when I've got Basilisk Collar equipped to Omnath, a bunch of tokens and a sac outlet. Also the day I land a Boundless Realms on top of Omnath + Warstorm Surge.
If you're worried about running out of lands and landfall triggers, use Elixir of Immortality. Get your graveyard back into your deck then you get a second wind in those decks that drag out.
I saw your list and it looks pretty good. Here are some suggestions:

You should find space for Decimate as a great catch all for some annoying permanents in play.
You should definitely add Descent of Dragons. It's too broken in this deck - especially with the right board state. On that note, Hellion Eruption should be just as awesome (or maybe not as much, but it could still be an amazing blowout).
Parallel Lives (and maybe Primal Vigor for redundancy) should definitely be considered - if not added altogether. This card becomes too broken especially when combined with Doubling Season and cards like Elemental Mastery and other token makers like Firecat Blitz. Don't even get me started if you were to have Mana Echoes in play.

Depending on the decklist, Hostility and Young Pyromancer could be worth a look. Hostility would turn one lightning bolt into three, plus various ETB triggers. Also Hull Breach, always been a winner for me.
Pulled Omnath in my prerelease pool yesterday. Naturally, I never go to use him.. but I want to!
I'm super excited for the day when I've got Basilisk Collar equipped to Omnath, a bunch of tokens and a sac outlet. Also the day I land a Boundless Realms on top of Omnath + Warstorm Surge.
Anyway, let me know what you all think. Thanks!
Wait, does this mean that when Basilisk Collar is equiped on Omnath he shots 3dmg with deathtouch when an Element dies?

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
And if you run Crucible of Worlds and Titania, Protector of Argoth then definitely run Price of Glory as a land sac outlet that nets you tokens from lands off Titania AND Omnath and also punishes instant speed/flash shenanigans like prophet of kruphix and draw/go strategies.

@DementedKirby Thank you for all of the suggestions, I'm edging more towards token-sac'ing in my build. I do plan on keeping all of the cards you recommended I cut though. Champion gets value off of tokens hitting the ground and provides evasion. Blunt the Assault and Constant Mists are my go-to Fog effects in green and Fog effects have saved me too many times for me not to run a couple. I'm also very fond of my X spells for when Mana Echoes goes off the rockers. I've been busy adding and cutting things on that list though.
@Overcast, Last Laugh Yes, Omnath will do 3 lifelink/deathtouch damage for each elemental that dies. It'll be great for A. rebuilding your life total, B. wrecking someone's board, and/or C. blasting away someone's life total.

Why @ me? I was answering his question, not asking lol.
How effective is doubling season and parallel lives? On paper they are good additions for a token based strategy but most of the time in play they are mediocre, either Omnath is not online or there are no other token generators around to maximise it. I can't seem to get both of Omnath and either of the enchantments online together without one of them being destroyed before the other hits the table.
Those enchantments are broken regardless is they get removed or not. In multiplayer EDH you can't expect opponents to allow plays like that without being answered to. Then why play any broken cards at all? Luckily, when you do want them to go off, it's because no one has any responses to them and you're in the clear. You just gotta risk it. Honestly, those 2 enchantments - and I would go so far as to say to add Primal Vigor in (since it's group hug, some other players who benefit may allow it in play longer than say Doubling Season or Parallel Lives) make this deck all the more brutal - double brutal, in fact. Even so, imagine the insanity of having all 3 enchantments in play. Too broken...

I can't echo this enough. In the past 10 games I've played, my opponents NEVER let parallel lives resolve except for one time, when omnath was not in play. I followed it up with omnath and a tempt with discovery next turn, which even though my opponents all declined the offer, I still got 4 tokens from, plus 2 more from my land drop for the turn. It's strong, and the key to playing strong cards is knowing when it seems reasonable to your opponent.
What do you guys think about Life and Limb? There's several cards that produce mass saproling tokens, which goes well with the token theme, and also gives you landfall for Omnath and everything else.

Firecat Blitz I feel is a better addition than Tempt with Vengeance because the latter gives opponents blockers and possible attackers where Firecat Blitz only gives you attackers (even if they're exiled at the end of turn, but then again so do Elemental Mastery's tokens and you're still running it). Firecat Blitz's flashback is amazing with Titania, Protector of Argoth in play.
Parallel Lives (and maybe Primal Vigor for redundancy) should definitely be considered - if not added altogether. Overwhelming Stampede (and possibly also Craterhoof Behemoth) should be included. When you make a ton of tokens with haste Overwhelming Stampede and/or Craterhoof Behemoth could be just what you need to get the job done.
Ashnod's Altar (and maybe Phyrexian Altar) feels like a no-brainer. For a mana intensive deck you have the sac outlet plus a mana source.
