I've been waiting to build a deck around Gideon ever since it was announced that it would be a planeswalker-commander.
The primary focus of this deck is make the most competitive deck within extreme set restrictions using only cards from planes its commander is known to have 'walked to.
DECK CREATION
I knew I wanted to build a deck around Gideon3.0 and I knew I wanted it to be distinctly different from other mono-W decks I'd built.
This is my fourth mono-W deck to date, with the first's focus on mass removal, the second's around equipment, and the third's on a difficult-to-interact-with Voltron commander. The primary focus of this deck is make the most competitive deck within extreme set restrictions using only cards from planes its commander is known to have 'walked to.
DECK ARCHETYPE
This is a weenie deck with tokens and a (very) light Voltron element.
DECK THEMES
deck comprised only of cards from planes commander known to have 'walked to
ADDED
1x Conqueror's Pledge (more opportunities to flip Kytheon or protect Gideon)
1x Dictate of Heliod (protects Kytheon from Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, and shortens Gideon's clock)
REMOVED
1x Kitesail Apprentice (might make it back in if more equipment added)
1x Kor Duelist (see above)
Am considering adding expanding the deck's minor landfall subtheme by adding:
Also, Brimaz, King of Oreskos makes flipping Kytheon into Gideon a breeze. Just remember that any tokens/creatures put onto the battlefield attacking DON'T help trigger Kytheon!
ADDED
1x Adventuring Gear (the deck has several ways to put two or more lands into play the same turn)
1x Hall of Triumph (self-explanatory)
1x Marshal's Anthem (see above)
1x Ring of Thune (another great tool to use with Guardian of the Gateless and Palisade Giant)
1x Shield of the Avatar (see above)
REMOVED
1x Boros Elite (inefficient)
1x Haazda Snare Squad (inefficient)
1x Nav Squad Commandos (there are better things to do with five mana)
1x Shepherd of the Lost (see above)
1x Fencing Ace (might make it back in if more equipment added)
Am still considering building on the deck's landfall subtheme. The following are possible future inclusions:
Game Report #3:
Finally casting Evangel of Heliod convinced me to add Kor Skyfisher for even more tokens. Twoanthems on the board, as well as an opposing Eldrazi commander inspired the following changes.
ADDED
Emeria Angel (MOAR tokens!)
Kor Skyfisher (the deck has a number of ETB triggers I wouldn't mind having one more of)
Arrest (who needs tuck?)
Martial Law (see above)
Reprisal (instant speed options are always good)
REMOVED
Armory of Iroas (might make it back in should I go heavy on the Voltron)
Ring of Thune (lovely card, but only works with Kytheon, not Gideon, too)
Shield of the Avatar (cute, but inefficent)
Fabled Hero (not a team player; works better with more equipment)
Skyspear Cavalry (see above)
ADDED
1x Launch the Fleet (MOAR tokens!)
1x Precinct Captain (there's often at least one player open for this to connect)
REMOVED
1x Gideon's Avenger (I really want to like this card, but I find myself cutting it from every deck I consider it in)
1x Opaline Unicorn (inefficient)
Have you considered Faith's Fetters in addition to/instead of Suppression Bonds? Shutting off spell lands seems like a bigger upside than shutting off mana dorks.
Is the curve too high to make Sun Titan work, even with the exile enchantments, fetchlands, and Dispeller's Capsule (weird flavor inclusion btw)?
I like the deck, and am thinking about building my own Kytheon deck although I'm leaning toward utilizing +1/+1 counters that can stay on Gideon once he has transformed.
Why no Wrath of God? It's new art with Heliod I feel opens it up for you to use within your restrictions.

I chose Arrest for its lower cost; I upgraded to Bonds for its combination of utility and flavor. However…

…I'm conflicted. Oblivion Ring is a stretch, given its Esper art, whereas the Heroes vs Monsters version of the Titan has Therosian art. As you pointed out yourself, Dispeller's Capsule isn't the most Bantian art, either. Sun Titan was already on my want list for the deck for all the reasons you named. I'm still testing the deck and while I'd welcome its inclusion, I don't feel it's necessary. That might well change, however.
I do wish there was a list of Origins cards broken down by plane. Ditto for all the Core Sets and Commander releases, really.

There are no divisions: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. -Galatians 3:28
There's still some holes to be patched up -- we don't actually know what plane Kothophed is from, for example, and Celestial Flare's art is generic enough that it could go anywhere.
Something I just noticed about the title for this is that you put: 1/10 at the end, does that mean you intend to do one for each of the five walker commanders and five flip walkers?
I like the deck, and am thinking about building my own Kytheon deck although I'm leaning toward utilizing +1/+1 counters that can stay on Gideon once he has transformed.
To make sure you know, if you put +1/+1 counters on Kytheon, they disappear when he transforms into Gideon. The transform mechanic has the creature exile itself and then enter the battlefield.

Gideon, Battle-Forged + Guardian of the Gateless/Palisade Giant =
Am considering adding:
- Conqueror's Pledge
- Dictate of Heliod
- Blind Obedience
Will likely cut creatures to make room, probably:ADDED
1x Conqueror's Pledge (more opportunities to flip Kytheon or protect Gideon)
1x Dictate of Heliod (protects Kytheon from Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, and shortens Gideon's clock)
REMOVED
1x Kitesail Apprentice (might make it back in if more equipment added)
1x Kor Duelist (see above)
Am considering adding expanding the deck's minor landfall subtheme by adding:
Casting Khalni Gem is a fantastic way to either get more mana out of Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx or push through an additional creature with Rogue's Passage!

Am still considering building on the deck's landfall subtheme. The following are possible future inclusions:
- Emeria Angel
- Kor Skyfisher
- Kor Aeronaut
More token production is another option:Finally casting Evangel of Heliod convinced me to add Kor Skyfisher for even more tokens. Two anthems on the board, as well as an opposing Eldrazi commander inspired the following changes.
ADDED
Emeria Angel (MOAR tokens!)
Kor Skyfisher (the deck has a number of ETB triggers I wouldn't mind having one more of)

Fabled Hero (not a team player; works better with more equipment)
Skyspear Cavalry (see above)
Currently have my eye on Kytheon's Irregulars and Valor in Akros. Will probably cut Gideon's Lawkeeper for the Irregulars. Valor makes me want to squeeze in more token effects. If I do, might switch out Adventuring Gear for Valor.
Mana has not been an issue, particularly with proper mulligans, so might cut Spectral Searchlight for Valor in Akros instead of Adventuring Gear.

Funny that. Actually a current project of mine. Here's the Origins list potentially relevant to the current deck:
1 Grasp of the Hieromancer

1 Kytheon, Hero of Akros // Gideon, Battle-Forged
1 Kytheon's Irregulars
1 Kytheon's Tactics
1 Starfield of Nyx
1 Suppression Bonds
1 Tragic Arrogance
1 Valor in Akros
1 War Oracle
1 Yoked Ox
1 Gold-Forged Sentinel
1 Guardians of Meletis
1 Helm of the Gods
1 Knight of the Pilgrim's Road
1 Knight of the White Orchid
1 Patron of the Valiant
1 Relic Seeker
1 Sigil of the Empty Throne
1 Stalwart Aven
1 Swift Reckoning
1 Topan Freeblade
1 Sigil of Valor
1 Veteran's Sidearm (?)
1 Knightly Valor
1 Murder Investigation
1 Rogue's Passage
Zendikar
1 Totem-Guide Hartebeest
1 Runed Servitor
1 Sword of the Animist
1 War Horn (?)
1 Evolving Wilds
There's still some holes to be patched up -- we don't actually know what plane Kothophed is from, for example, and Celestial Flare's art is generic enough that it could go anywhere.
