Update: This deck is a piece of *****. If you want to build Kraj do NOT use this list as it's a worthless pile of feces.
I'm putting together a UG deck (strike one) that relies on its general (strike two) that's competitive enough to keep me in the game (strike three) but also fun to play. I've looked at a lot of other decks and they are all pretty old since there are easier to build around generals now in Simic. I do have some combo stuff in there, but it's not really supposed to be the only thing the deck does. How does one make this deck work?
I've been waiting so long to see the list you made!
Have you thought about green sun's zenith, Lurking predators and greater good as you play such a high density of creatures? Kinda knowing how you play I can understand the no G-suns but i feel like lurking predators might be up your alley for cards you might like in the deck.
Otherwise to make the deck more competitive I have one other suggestion Cauldron of Souls. It give you wrath protection while having just a lot of fun implications with +1/+1 counters.
i have several kraj-based combos in my 5 color.
two cards i would consider are devoted druid and illusionist's bracers. both are good with kraj, and bracers is good with a lot of the deck.
but together, they give you an infinitely large kraj and all your other creatures as well as infinite green mana.
on the subject of devoted druid, pili-pala is a cheap way to give kraj the ability to untap.
and if any of that makes you feel too dependent on kraj, quicksilver elemental acts as a pretty decent backup. it can even steal games using your opponent's creatures and changing their ability costs to U

Yeah, I have no idea what I'm doing with this deck. My core instincts are to largely ignore the commander, find cards that are good in the biggest bubble possible, pay close attention to curve, and push draw spells over tutors. SO it's weird.
The cards you mention... what do you cut for them?

Same question: The cards you mention... what do you cut for them?
Infinite mana seems to be a really easy thing with Kraj, but I can't really figure out what to do with that mana.

Cards I picked up that might go in here, but I don't know what to bump...
Right, but what do you remove to add these things? It seems like there's a million cards that can be added but I don't know of they are better.

freed from the real can make infinite mana with bloom tender or argothian elder if youre in to that sort of thing.
