Introduction
This deck follows a fairly straightforward voltron/aggro plan. It typically defeats opponents through commander damage but reducing life totals to 0 or less also comes up. Having a tutor spell in the command zone gives the deck flexibility beyond simply smashing face.
Theme
Cards such as Trading Post, High Market, Faithless Looting, Pillage, and Deal Broker resonate Godo's status as a bandit warlord. In almost any other EDH deck I fine goats laughable, but it's entirely appropriate for a nomadic army to have a herd. Insurrection and Word of Seizing attest Godo's charisma. Everybody wants to join the outlaw horde and indulge their desires. Because of the importance of equipment, all creatures in the deck are humanoid: humans, ogres, golems, goblins, etc. I don't want the awkwardness of dragons wielding swords and so on.
Notable Interactions Argentum Armor on Godo offers both removal and quick clock. While easy to answer, this combination demands an answer and will run away with the game if unchecked. Nim Deathmantle provides protection against some removal as well allowing you reuse EtB abilities and granting evasion. It does go infinite with Ashnod's Altar plus Siege-Gang Commander or Precursor Golem, though I've only used this sort of combo once. Sword of Kaldra lets Ronin Cliffrider exile an opponent's entire team each attack, assuming they can take damage from a red source. It likewise means Siege-Gang Commander, Tahngarth, Talruum Hero, and Cyclops Gladiator can deal with creatures they otherwise couldn't handle. Seize the Day plus Precursor Golem plus one or more creatures with vigilance means a lot of extra attacks and damage. The dream is to do this with Márton Stromgald on the table and then cast or cheat in Akroma's Memorial. It hasn't happened yet but I'm still hopeful. Squee, Goblin Nabob plus any looting effect gives draw power.
Plans
I'm not sure Reforge the Soul is pulling its weight, especially now that I have Skullclamp for draw power.
Those aren't in the deck primarily for budget reasons. I seriously considered Sword of Feast and Famine for a bit but decided I didn't have enough things to do with the extra mana to make it worthwhile (both as a slot in the deck and as a $ cost). Masterwork of Ingenuity does give the option to copy opposing Swords of X and Y when they're on the field.
Sword of Feast and Famine is good for more reasons than the untap. Eats opponents hands and gives protection from two big colours. But even still, the untap is huge. All you need to take advantage of it is stuff in your hand, period. You get to do stuff in first main, and then again in second main.
Godo attacks twice with a main phase in-between, so I do need instant-speed effects to do anything with mana from the first untap. The deck has relatively few of those. Sword of Feast and Famine would be utterly nuts with Nim Deathmantle and a sac outlet on the board. I'll put it in the deck if I ever acquire one.
I had a multiple copies of Sword of Fire and Ice back in the day, but I sold them before I started playing EDH and before they were worth much.
My Godo deck was my first EDH deck and has been around in some form or another for about a decade.
2 quick suggestions:
If your playgroup isn't opposed to poison I would highly advise Grafted Exoskeleton since it can one-shot an unsuspecting opponent.
On the silly but still awesome front I recently started playing Bludgeon Brawl and it's as good as I expected. Late game or after a Scrap Mastery Godo can grab all your mana rocks and become enormous.

I'd probably run it if anybody ever traded me one, but I'm not a huge fan of the card's art or flavor. It's certainly strong mechanically.
I'm in the same boat, wasn't a huge fan of the art. This one is pretty great.

These won me the game on several occasions. (Boom // Bust, Decree of Annihilation and Ruination)
How does Academy Raider perform in your list? I've always been curious about that one.
And why only 1 Kaldra piece?
