Shisato, Whispering Hunter has a very powerful ability. Is this remotely viable? It seems incredibly interesting. If so how? What cards would work well?
Her ability is powerful, but you need to a) have snakes to sacrifice and b) get her through as she has no natural evasion. Even if you do manage to assemble the cards you need (in green?), this gives even half-competent opponents two ways to throw a wrench in your game plan, so I wouldn't consider it viable.
What this deck really wants is a green Opposition.

How do you decide which direction to point Shisato? More particularly, when (if ever) do you anticipate a board state where all opponents except one can be locked down by the Stax package in the 99?
Sosuke's Summons doesn't seem too useful with only five nontoken Snakes in the deck, one of which is a morph. Maybe Riptide Replicator if you want to keep the number of token producing cards the same?
ETA: Have you also considered Hall of Gemstone? Locks your opponents out of multicolor non-instants, is hard to remove, and in general seems like a good Stax effect that you can't get outside of green.

We attack where we can get through, prioritizing opponents with more mana sources to untap. All things being equal, we strike at the weakest opponent, the one that's taken the most commander damage.
One of Stax's primary challenges is consistency. Shisato helps mitigate that. The ability to copy its effect with Strionic Resonator is icing on the cake.
Sosuke's Summons, like all of the deck's token production, is for our commander's sacrifice clause (or Smokestack in a pinch). Quantity of tokens matters, not size.

We want every chance to regenerate our key creatures if necessary. The Hall makes it nigh impossible to activate Asceticism on opponents' turns.

More importantly, our deck's ramp package coupled with its mana denial makes repeat casts of Shisato easy and hate difficult.A good opening hand is one with lands and mana rocks costing two or less, and ideally three or four other spells.
If you feel the need for a second card to grant haste, cut the Monument for Swiftfoot Boots.
