He plays Tempt with Vengeance for 8, so I choose to get blockers, and he gets more. He swings at me with all of them, 2 additional 1/1 elementals, Omnath, and 4 Omnath tokens. This swing is lethal if I don't block.
I block Omnath with Myr Battlesphere, Omnath tokens with Myr Tokens, and I eat 8 of his Elementals with mine as they are 2/2s from Caged Sun. This triggers Omnath for exactly lethal again, but I High Market away a token to gain 2 life cuz of Alhammaret's Archive.
My turn, I sequence everything so I get Unwinding Clock and Nevinyrral's Disk. This of course would kill me cuz of Omnath.
His turn, on upkeep, I Chaos Warp Omnath getting a Mountain, then wipe board with Disk. He taps out and casts Omnath again with 0 cards in hand.
My turn I Scrap Mastery, getting back Archive, Disk, Clock, Forge, Duplicant, Battlesphere, bunch of mana rocks, Static Orb, and some other goodies. I exile Omnath with Duplicant. I cast Karn Liberated and exile Dark Depths.
The advice I am looking for is stuff like helping balance my types of mana rocks, land count, and general deck balance, great budget cards (under 5 dollars) I am missing, future upgrades (10-25 dollars) and what the best 50 dollar card is from here.

Loving the monored!
What kind of total budget are you wanting to work with? This would help me figure out what cards would be best
No new changes to deck. I am contemplating trying to find room for Scour from Existence and Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger as more removal. Not entirely too sure as they aren't artifacts, so aren't easily recurrable. The list I am running is pretty tight and it's really hard for me to decided on what isn't necessary and can be cut.
On a more positive note, I commissioned a playmat and it's coming along nicely. Should hopefully be done soon.
I think between All is Dust, Spine of Ish Sah and Karn Liberated Daretti has more than enough high-cost removal. Scour from Existence is tempting, especially because it's instant speed, but Looking at it compared to the rest of your spells, it just doesn't seem like it has a place.
One card you might want to consider is Sanctum of Ugin. There is more than enough high-cost colorless in Daretti to justify it (your version of the deck has 7), and it's a great way to tutor up a win con like Blightsteel Colossus. There are more than enough mana rocks that losing the land isn't a big deal by the time you're ready to use it, and it's been doing nice things for me.
With the new list revealed, do you think Blade of Selves has a good home here? There are really a number of creatures that we play with ETB effects that could make use of it. I am seeing:
Recruiter
Duplicant
Solemn Simulacrum
Steel Hellkite (not ETB but otherwise good)
Myr Battlesphere
Blightsteel Colossus (not ETB but otherwise good too)
It also works well with Clock of Omens to untap and use some tap guys (like Metalworker), and also it supports Kuldotha Forgemaster.
It's not amazingly powerful like in some decks, but that's 6 creatures that it would make very powerful.
Also, any thoughts to Magus of the Wheel and Fiery Confluence? Fiery Confluence works very nicely with a number of cards in our deck for artifact destruction.

Blade of Selves: I don't think it belongs here. Sure, we have some good creatures to go with it, but I don't think we have enough creatures to justify running it.
Magus of the Wheel: Susceptible to removal and very slow. Not worth it imo.
Fiery Confluence: It's not going to remove too many creatures unless you're playing against tokens with little pumps. Up to 6 damage to each opponent seems ok, but for the cost maybe not. And if I wanted more artifact removal, I'd run Shattering Spree. Costs three to remove same amoutn of artifacts, or costs the same to remove one more. Not good.

Fellwar Stone
IN:
Command Beacon
Thought Vessel
Daretti tends to head to the Command Zone quite frequently, so having Beacon take the place of a Mountain is well worth us only having to pay 4 for him late game. Fellwar Stone is probably the weakest rock here simply because if we happen to play against a colorless deck, we don’t get to add any mana. Thought Vessel is a rock that produces mana every time, and has the added bonus of giving us no maximum hand size.
IN:
Reliquary Tower
Sanctum of Ugin
Sandstone Oracle
Dropping a couple Mountains to add in Reliquary Tower to help us better control what we discard since we no longer have a max hand size, and Sanctum to be able to tutor up creatures. If we can draw at least two cards each time Oracle comes into play, it is strictly better than Voice since it is recurrable.
Finally got my hands on a Bazaar. This will allow me to draw additional cards and put more artifacts into the graveyard. It doesn’t produce mana, so I do lose out on a mana source, but it should allow me to draw into more.
I am trying to get better at making decks. I have had trouble creating more competitive decks as I only really build with the cards I have. I dont have that many value cards, in function or expense. I (almost) never play at FNM type events so its not like im playing against $2k decks. If I do usally play at one, Its a draft or limited game. Any advice on building decks is greatly supported! DMs are appreciated.
Thank you!
To put it more simply, it's like saying, "I can prove Jesus is real and loves you. See? Here's my Hispanic friend Jesus. He's had a crush on you for a long time. Tell em' Jesus."

Chandra, Flamecaller

Soul wasn’t really doing much other than being a beater, so I replaced him with Chandra Flamecaller as a sort of catch-all. Gives us tiny guys to help get in more damage, a one-sided wheel effect that draws us an additional card, and a board wipe for small critters. Tower isn’t necessary anymore thanks to Thought Vessel, so I added in Haven in its place. Ugin is a very good card in EDH, and having an additional way of reusing him is always good. Caged Sun is ok, but Gauntlet is cheaper and I haven’t need the extra mana Caged produces, so I put back Fellwar Stone as another early mana rock.
Glad to hear Chandra's been working out for you. The other night I ended up getting 2 wraths off of her, which felt incredible. Fellwar Stone and Haven of the Spirit Dragon have been in my list for some time now, but I am interested to hear about your experiences with Mirrorpool. I have cut all CIPT lands from my list recently. Is the creature copy worth it? It's hard to imagine the spell copy is. Thanks for the update, keep up the degeneracy!

I cut Valakut because it CIPT and might not get too many triggers off of it, so I replaced it with Mirrorpool. I haven't used it to copy a spell, but the copy creature I have used multiple times. Copying Battlesphere is pretty good. I even copied Oracle and got value. The possibilities are really good, especially with Wurmcoil and Blightsteel. I'd say its worth a shot to at least test with it.

I agree it does seem better than Valakut in this shell. I already shipped off my one copy on Pucatrade, will have to pick up another for testing. Copying Sandstone Oracle sounds like a cream dream.
On the subject of lands, I have been having decent success with Sea Gate Wreckage as well, might be something for you to test out.

I just finished my a rebuild list of my darretti deck and was hoping for some feedback on card choices (missed cards or bad ideas). I designed it to be somewhat budget minded and to be edh and french legal. Also I took some/alot of inspiration from Guerte deck on tappedout.

trixster87: Sorry for the long delay in getting back to you; I've been staying pretty busy with work and honey-do's. Unfortunately, I feel you need to decide which format you want to keep Daretti in. Having a foot in both doors is probably going to make your deck less consistent. Once you decide which format you'd like him to be playable in, if it's multiplayer (which I feel is the better version because you get to use fast mana), I would be more than willing to help you with your list. If you're wanting French, I'm sorry but I can't help you as I don't play with French rules, nor do I feel like dabbling in them. Please, let me know what you decide, and thanks for being inspired by my list!

One expensive deck Guerte! I know there is no replacing Bazaar of Baghdad and Mishra's Workshop but my playgroup does not allow proxies of very strong cards of such. What would you advice for the replacement of both and would it affect the deck a lot not running both of these?
