Patron of the Orochi: We Require Additional Pylons
There is no such thing as Too Much Mana
Green is the best color at making mana, no questions asked. Most ramp decks shot for a large amount of mana quickly. Be it Azusa, Lost but Seeking or Seton, Krosan Protector, having ramp as the commander of a deck accelerates to more mana sooner, but what then? Why settle for a measly 15 mana when you can go higher? For a moderate increase at the initial cost, Patron of the Orochi promises to double your mana during your turn, while also giving the opportunity to further multiple potential mana generation by the number of players, netting a huge multiplication of mana generation. Sure, the Patron costs 8, but the rate of return is enormous.
Main Objective: Make as much non-infinite mana as possible, then dump it into abilities which can be used and reused on other players turns, making the most of the downpour of G.
