Yeah I really like earthcraft in here but since we're working with so many non basics (at least in the build I have) it's really hard to take advantage of earthcraft.
Glad it's gonna ruin other peoples days. Hope to spread it like the virus it is.

Hey guys so I've actually moved on from commander on to 60 card decks so I don't have any commander decks.
Anyway I've started my own gameplay channel in which I play games (Magic also)
The built in "haste" of Earthcraft is what makes it really shine. I was only bringing that up as a temporary before getting duals and stuff like Tabernacle. I am also just a sucker for abusing a single resource in LD. There's something wonderfully sinister about getting a ton of mileage off one land in a time of mana drought that makes my heart a flutter. I used to think the idea of exiling a player's deck (or mind) was flavorful, but leaving them to die of thirst in the desert may be a little more wicked.
Now you're on to something.
There is nothing quite like the good old aggro plan when your opponents cant do anything for 30 turns.
Since we're a land heavy deck I was thinking about trying out Depths and Stage in the deck for another kill con.
Maybe not even stage since it's not too hard to remove counters from depths here

Ok, this is what im Missing. What lands would you prioritize? I feel like I should wait on that legacy/commander to be fully spoiled before I get any real old cards. So maybe flagstones than Phyrexian Tower? I figure with Earthcraft and Oracle of Mul Daya as my subs for Ravages and Nether Void, I have more ways to work off low resources, so maybe Ravages of War since it'd be my powerful redundancy? I may be able to get a Serra's temporarily, my brother who plays Marath is off to college and I'm going to ask if I can hold onto his decks since he won't play much.
PS Which Anguished Unmaking are you playing? I love the full art, but the color palette is a bit simple. I'm probably throwing one in Sharuum so I'm debating a foil of each or two of the set
I'd get Gaea's Cradle and Serra's Sanctum. They're reserved list goodies so you may as well get them and they often tap for a ton of mana after a resource wipe.
I'm playing the art with Sorin nuking Avacyn, the original art. I'm not really pimping anything out currently because finishing a vintage deck takes priority over throwing extra cash at commander decks. Eventually I wanna foil these guys out but that's a ways away

He's here for good stuff and support.
Getting us a ton of cards of the land destruction, fetches, knight, crop rotation, and a good amount of cards in the deck means we can outvalue and get into our silver bullet enchantments much faster.
Granted he has no testing in the deck yet but I feel like he can be insane

The store doesn't mind me playing this. However, no durdling. As in --- destroy all lands and I only have a bunch of 1/1s that take a couple of turns to kill everyone. (Now, playing a Massacre Wurm when lands have < 3 toughness and there is an active Bloodchief Ascension on the board is perfectly fine. GG if you have 10 lands).
Here is my list - along with the subs and alternate ideas. I put a negative sign next to the stuff I am removing.
Keep in mind there are no combo decks before turn 10. Meaning, no one will do the same action more than 4 times (no infinite mana or draw infinte cards). No one will be playing a Sol Ring turn 1 even if they have it in hand. A lot more creatures and blue control --- or a lot of people have planeswalker decks. Also, a majority of decks are ramp ramp ramp (mainly green).
Also, I have been playing your Tasigur deck and it has been owning. No one plays graveyard hate. Also, no one runs single targle land destructions - so in my other GW decks, Yavimaya Hollow and Kor Haven do SOO MUCH WORK! I just don't have the funds for Gaea's Cradle.
I don't really get why you'd cut some of the cards mentioned.
I like the massacre wurm interaction but with doomwake being a tutorable enchantment he was better off because one you one-sided armageddon the game is over anyway.
Bloodcheif ascension does look good though so I may try it.
A good amount of the replacements you have listed are things I've also cut in the past

you're right, I am not familiar with stax. I have not played with a lot of these cards (ex Knight of the Rel, Pattern of Rebirth).
4 questions:
- Would you recommend I start with your list first then make changes as I go?
- What cards are your meta calls? ie Carpet of Flowers? Choke and City of Solitude would really lock down the board for me.
- Would you recommend Contamination for me - because there are very few people with mana rocks? (I've read every post in your thread containing this card via search. Good comments and I see when it was added and removed).
- Have you had issues with Fecundity? As in, they start drawing too many cards.
Knight is awesome as it can get bog, tower, or any land that helps ramp a ton like sanctum or cradle.
Pattern gets us rector which gets us any enchantment. Or sometimes titania for a geddon finish or sun titan to help ramp up.
Carpet is used mostly as a meta call. City makes it so we can't use Ghave so I don't like it too much.
Contamination is awesome if there isn't many rocks. I cut it because we run a ton of rocks early on.
I like fecundity since a lot of the decks we struggle with run super low amount of creatures.
If you're in a meta with lots of creatures and not many rocks turning fecundity into contamination makes sense

That's up to what your group is like. My own list is tailored to take advantage of the weaknesses in my own group and make the game unwinable for them. Not having many actually win cons but rather a ton of disruption and answers and beating face with tokens or whatever after the board is safe has worked well so far.
I may also try contimantion again after some consideration

Played some games with the list, didnt run into any card replacements (save maybe 1-2 but eh w/e) and ya, I'd imagine all I can say is it plays exactly as it should. Best play was resolving t3 Living Plane and explaining how "your dudes don't have haste" and watching them deal with it the whole game. Then when Linvala showed up....I wanted to do that from the instance you introduced it to me. This is exactly what I wanted from my LD deck.
Glad to hear it. Looking forward to getting more feedback over time.
Eventually when you get a tabernacle for the deck it makes those plays so much better.
Explaining to others that they have to pay 1 for each land and that lands don't tap for mana is a pleasure of mine.
Putting Pattern on academy rector is another thing of beauty.

Aven made the cut in my GW sigarda global hate enchantress. Does some work. Flyer is a plus. Yes, great with Sun Titan and works with some combos (no for this deck, but due to the 2 power and/or 1 toughness).
So two things I've been thinking lately.
I need to reduce the number of colorless lands in here. While a lot of the lands serve a purpose like Tabernacle, ancient tomb, and whatnot there are too many cases that the lands are only making colorless and I need two colors to play Eidlon or whatever.
Once EMA comes out I will finish the set of fetches and get a Horizon canopy but am wondering which of these colorless lands would be safest to go
I listed all of them to make debate easier, some of them are obviously not going anywhere.
Another thought was turning black into Blue for a bant stax enchantress deck.
This has crossed my mind before and it's mostly for Land Equilibrium, Omniscience, sunder, cyclonic rift, and future sight
I'm sure there are a few more that haven't come to mind but on top of that there aren't too many good commanders for the BANT stax enchantress idea and losing tutors/necro/friends seems like it would hurt.
But I wanna open up these two things for discussion and see what people have to say

Has Gaea's Cradle or Serra's Sanctum ever been dead? I'm still new of course but so far a lot of games for me board wiping was always a way to go ahead and put opponent's behind. I'd imagine sometimes they wont produce mana, so the question is, are they worth the slots to ramp, meaning really theyre only good if we're ahead. Do you have enough instances where the mana they produce let you pull ahead for a turn?
Dust Bowl is cool, if I was lining up that Strip MineWasteland id prob cut Waste, just because that land trade is usually to remove some major threat, so I don't think it needs to be that redundant. Dust Bowl just seems more valuable, but maybe I've just been lucky.
Phyrexian Tower was at the end of my list for cards to grab. Same idea as the Restricted lands, seemed like it's only good when we're racing or ahead. An extra sac outlet is prob good with the white enchantment lady thought isnt it...
Riftstone Portal is cuttable for sure. I've never had it turn on and need it to function.
I like Drownyard Temple for obvious synergies with cards. I think leave it in now. If Dust Bowl or The Gitrog Monster hit the cutting board, I think it can follow them out.
Blighted Fen is def a meta card. That's why I'm always torn with making a primer, I have to allow so many meta card slots that people usually question right away. But as players with Narset at the table, I'd honestly say let it take a nonland slot if you need to.
and as for the esper thing....meh. I don't think what you'd get from blue is worth it. The tutoring seems to make all the difference and I don't think I could even say any card type is what I tutor most dominantly.
PS again only a few games, but I've been theorizing and crunching numbers since you made the list. I feel like this is one of those things you really just need the experience. I have an entire week of magic coming up though very excited. Even upgraded the deck to a deck tower as opposed to box, given its certainly valuable enough to just double case the whole thing, and the tokens and counters are pretty cool to have on hand. As a player who's never really played any serious token game, I've used cigarette filters, shreds of paper, and skittles as tokens. The change over is nice- I don't forget the extra damage.
Cradle and Sanctum are eternal in here. They often tap for at least 1 and often way more.
Sure they can be dead but that's not as common. It sucks bad when it's early game though.
Phyrexian tower is great with rector but our general also is a sac outlet. But getting 2 black for necro or having a tutorable sac outlet for rector is real good too.
I love when Riftstone portal is good. I sacced it to dust bowl a few times and got all the colored mana early on. Love it when that happens.
Fen is probably the cut. It's good against Narset and Voltron but lately I haven't had issues with those.
Especially voltron since we kill those decks super often already.
Losing black to go bant (Not esper :p) would suck but adding blue and cutting some worse card draw effects may be worth while. I kinda doubt it.
Also with the mention of tokens (I often use tokens as smokestack or braids fodder) I got some awesome tokens from RK post a while ago that I forgot to post here. The excitement of trading for power made me forget so here's some sweet tokens.

Anyway I've started my own gameplay channel in which I play games (Magic also)

Edit: just saw the tokens. I was debating those...but old saporling tokens are amazing.
