When you have access to daretti do you really need to red a mana stone? I like ever flowing because you can 0 cast it as well later for a cheap flip off daretti.
This deck really only needs one R to get going, but I too find the chalice to be a possible cut. I don't mind the 0 cast, but sometimes I am not into the idea of casting it for more than 2 into the multi-kicker.
Non-mana rocks, I would add a Mindslaver to your overall artifact list because it provides such a blow out opportunity with the recursion this deck has. I am also suprised to not see Blightsteel Colossus in your list, but that may be a personal choice you made.

You're correct, Vash- Mindslaver and Blightsteel are conscious omissions. I play against a lot of Bribery, Acquire, clones and theft effects, so the Colossus is somewhat risky. Mindslaver is just really frowned upon in my group and it became a pretty stale way to win, honestly. If I was playing at a GP side event, I would likely bring both of these in.
The Foundry does seem like free value if you have the spot for the colorless land. I am already at 20 Mountains and don't really want to go any lower than that. If I didn't have such an affinity for Tomb of the Spirit Dragon I would likely be playing this land in that slot. Very interested to hear how this works out for you, Guerte. My main concern is that it seems very expensive to come online for small value. Clearly, testing is in order.
Two tokens might seem like small value but when the player after you plays a creature wrath and the following player plays a haste creature having those blockers can be very valuable. Surprise blockers for Daretti are always useful.
The biggest downside is the mana to make the tokens. Its sort of hard to just always have that up for a pinch situation.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
I understand the value of the surprise blockers, but as you mentioned it can be hard to hold up so much mana.
My list is tight enough I am trying to focus on additions that bring something new/novel to the early game. By the late game I should be churning out value left and right. If I am relying on this land to generate Thopters to block in the late game, I am probably already in pretty bad shape. Like, the kind of trouble that spending 6 mana for two 1/1 flying tokens probably isn't going to get me out of. I am very open to the idea though, and await reports from people who are going to test it.
It blocks, but it also gives chaff to cycle with the commander as well. The upside here is that utility lands don't take up a full card slot because they also tap for mana. The idea of paying that much just for the thopters as a spell would be terrible but its a land that produces mana and has good synergy with the commander. I wouldn't dismiss what it does I guess based on the fact that its still a mana producing land.

I'm currently in the position where my flex spots are slowly dwindling down. I have one spot in my land base that is currently occupied by a Gemstone Caverns, which I've been a real fan of so far and may make a permanent addition.
With the Archive coming out, I wanted to give Tomb of the Spirit Dragon a chance, but I don't really see it happening.
As far as main board, I essentially have 4 flex spots. Those are currently being occupied by Mox Diamond, Codex Shredder, Static Orb, and Clock of Omens. I've been very satisfied with Orb/Omens, so I feel like they can take their place in the permanent list. Diamond enables another way for an early Daretti, so it stays for the time being. Shredder I haven't had the opportunity to play it yet, but think it's recursion could be very beneficial, much like Recoup has been.
So when Archive does come out, I have a very hard decision to make as to what to cut to make room for it. The two I am currently considering for the chopping block are Soul of New Phyrexia and Scuttling Doom Engine.
Personally I'm not a fan of anything that's come out of Origins for us, except the Archive, and only because it works so well with our commander.
Guerte, for your specific list, I'd cut Soul if you tend not to keep up mana on an opponent's turn (see: the Foundry discussion). Otherwise I'd cut Doom Engine. It doesn't get you value upon ETB or sac except noncombat damage, and you can already do that with Valakut, Comet Storm, Ugin, or just blow up the board and swing unopposed later.
Soul is good in multiplayer. I obliterate once and response by removing soul of new phyrexia from my graveyard and after that just win the game as they are unable to recover.
foundry of the consul seems good as it give us free fodder to use on daretti -2 ability, coupled with crucible of the world, it is good.
Now that the entire set is spoiled, I am honestly only hungry for Alhammarret's Archive for this deck. I kinda don't know what to predict as the next couple of sets drop, but I am also starting to find that my list is growing more and more complete as time passes - changes are becoming a lot harder unless I plan to go hyper-competitive and/or STAX....

I'm in the exact same boat that you are in. There are fewer and fewer cards I wanna remove from my deck. The Archive is really the only thing I'm looking forward to as well.
I tried the Stax route online and I must say I honestly didn't like the way it played out. I like my list too much. Clock/Orb is the only Stax package I really want.
I agree with your thoughts I run static orb, I find it good to preserve my tempo. Would cut smokestack for winter orb as it is too slow and hurt me at times. I am on the fence on staff of domination. Any thoughts? I really enjoy my daretti which build up to a point and followed by a obliterate to control the game. It is not over powerful yet is fun enough to make people wary of you. Main thing is not put a big target board on yourself and you can win the game post MLD.
I agree with Guerte that some stax elements do help this go past 75% to 100%. I have two brews. One is artifact good/fun stuff, and one is pure stax. They're both fun, but being able to slow others down to pop your emblem, or position your board and maintain it (Which can be pretty difficult, particularly in a meta with Aura Shards ), is key!
I run a Kozilek deck that has some stax/denial elements and one I find to be very difficult for my opponents to overcome is Storm Cauldron. Do any of you run this in your lists? It seems to be a "more fair" tool to slow down opponents without causing the anger of MLD.

I run Storm Cauldron in my Child of Alara deck which is heavily land-focused. I also run several ways to get multiple land drops per turn cycle, so it does a lot of work there. People in my meta are aware of it and they find it annoying, but not "Hey, we gotta kill that guy before Storm Cauldron comes down!" annoying. If I was running Ward of Bones I would certainly consider running the Cauldron as well.
IS there any thoughts on Ghirapur Aether Grid? With Unwinding Clock it can easily take control of the game and without its away of getting more out of your artifacts at the end of turn. At cmc of 3 its not a burden to cast either. Alhammarrer's Archive seems like a no brainer. Yes I'll discard two cards and draw four thank you very much! Let's see I have 10 artifacts in play I'll gain 20 life with Tomb of the Spirit Dragon, yes please!

Artifact creatures you mean?
I think I'm gonna be adding Tomb back in as well for that card. Even if im just gaining 4 life, it's helpful.
The grid... not sure. it's good with Unwinding Clock sure, but it will also draw alot of hate at the table without doing much damage itself for the tradeoff in output, in my opinion, unless you're already ahead. could be wrong, seems winmore to me. I'm underwhelmed. But I will give it a test

So the foil Archive is sitting at like $80 for the preorder. I hope it drops on release. 😭

Care to review my list and suggest a replacement for the Chalice? I am already running Mox Diamond as well. Thanks!
My List
I'd probably run either Fellwar Stone or Coldsteel Heart.
