I would still argue that it's only 15 damage for 11 mana, and that's best case. Throw in a Maze, Ghostly Prison or a simple Thopter Token.
An easy cut, if the deck is improving, but a solid beater for a more casual meta.
And I argue that this dragon is a silver bullet that catches people by surprise more often than not. I have never not killed someone immediately when I resolve the dragon and go to combat. Maybe this is because I don't struggle netting 10+ artifacts on the field and my games involve more creature damage bringing people down to the 20's in life, but that is definitely a meta thing.
How you guys find aetherwork marvel? I have added combustible gearhulk, inventor fair and metalwork colossus. Still trying to figure out how to abuse marvel.

I think it is doable in decks that are prone to -2 with Daretti often and decks that produce a decent number of tokens. If you are not that type of player, I would not suggest it.

I had really high hopes for this card. After a bunch of testing, the only way to really make it viable is by running a bunch of sac outlets and using Daretti's -2 or Welder. It really wasn't worth it in the end.
So Runehorn Hellkite ? Seems it has great potential in the deck. Instant speed wheel seems amazing.
I am thinking it probably is kind of meh. The body doesn't really do much so you are basically playing a wheel for 6 mana that you don't have to spend a card on (which is less relevant when you wheel up to 7 anyway).
By the way people. I am thinking of trying out metalwork colossus and I need to put a codex shredder in the deck but cannot decide what to cut for them. Any one have any recommendations?
At the moment it will probably be Thopter Assembly and one of myr retriever/junk diver/pilgrim's eye. Was thinking of trying the gearhulk but I guess it pretty much does the same thing as sandstone Oracle.

The body is irrelevant, whats important that it can be activated from the graveyard at instant speed. Getting things on the graveyard is easy in this deck. Mana isn't a concern either. Activating it at the end of your opponents turn makes sure that you on play with a fresh new hand. Its worth a try.
I guess you can cut the eye? I feel that its too meh in this deck IMO

Sure, mana comes easy. But 6 mana is a real investment and if the mana doesn't matter then where is the value of having it instant speed instead of jsut casting it during your turn?
But hey, it's worth trying out, it might work a lot better in your deck than it would in mine. The beauty of EDH
Also, plese report in how it works out.

Has anyone tried out Chandra, Torch of Defiance? On the surface she does a lot of things we like; ramping, drawing cards and even acting as removal. Plus we are kinda inclined to protect our planeswalker(s) already. That said she is still a planeswalker, meaning she is a big target on the board, and doesn't offer a ton of immediate value. Hence why I'm wondering if anyone tried her and if she's worth trading for .
I have not really given it a slot or shot because what would I directly cut for it? There are not many card slots in my list that I can rotate through. Could she be good? Yeah, definitely. Do I think she fits for me? Not really.

Similar to my above comment, but I see this being more usable than Chandra. Cards that can be Daretti fodder and still have value in the GY are definitely not bad. The fact the ability would be more lategame (due to mana cost) is also nice because this deck does have a tendency to run out of cards in hand over time. It will be interesting to see if anyone discovers something good with it.
So last night I managed to fire of a scrap mastery that made my day:
Noticeably it milled all opponents for 24 on resolution than I casted stranglehold and possibility storm. We were already 30 minutes past the stores close time se we ended up calling it a draw.
Possibility Storm + Trinisphere= Counter Random Spell Unless Its Controller Pays 3.
Teferi's Puzzle Box + Noetic Scales= Bounce Big Creatures And Shuffle Them Away.
Mana web + urborg= Tap one land means tap all your lands.
Whenever ~ or another artifact you control is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, return to your hand target artifact card in your graveyard with lesser converted mana cost.
3/2
Should be able to get some decent value off of it. Not to mention that there's always room for infinite loops with myr retriever or something.

I like it a lot. For just three mana, you're going to be getting at least a trigger a turn. Either you're getting card advantage from it, or you're getting damage in.

It definitely has a lot of synergy in here. I dislike that it's not an artifact tho. Lol.
I'm kinda nervous about this set. On one hand, I'm hoping we get a lot of goodies in here. On the other hand, what if we DO get a lot of goodies? Cuts are already hard to make, not sure if I can do it anymore! Lol.

Thats good though! I want more than one 'right' way to build Daretti!
Lots of goodies means red artifacts finally ha a ton of diversity.

I can't disagree with that. This block has been the most exciting for the deck since Daretti came out.
I don't know what Paradox Engine would do for Daretti that Unwinding Clock doesn't. It's strong, sure, but there's only so much mana we can spend at one time.
Planar Bridge looks like a fun card, but it's a lot of mana for things we can do in other ways, you know?

That's kind of what I was thinking. I just got excited seeing two new artifacts. Lol.
Paradox Engine seems better suited for a Storm deck or something else, that takes advantage of chaining spells into something Aetherflux Reservoir, for instance).
Planar Bridge really is expensive, but it's nice that you can tutor things right onto the battlefield. But again, 8 mana is a big investment for something potentially small.

Pretty much in agreement with this. Only addition I would say is the Engine *could* go off with this deck if you have a full hand and several mana-rocks, but really Unwinding Clock is better more often due to untaping every turn.
