I will definitely pick Tezzeret up, I don't know how I missed him. I have found it to be ok but it has given me a really ridiculous start once with Turn one Swamp>Dark Ritual>Sol Ring>Izzet Signet>Windfall. It's been really nice as a godhand enabler and been ok in a pinch for some quick mana to wheel again. So I think I need to test with it more and see how useful it really is
With the eternal masters reprints coming out soon we should get some nice stuff to throw in as well. How much do we care about sensei's divining top?
You are drawing so much that the deck manipulation can be rather pointless. It does have it's uses, for sure: Mystical Tutor your wheel on top, draw it with Top, Wheel!
Yeah, topdeck manipulation in a deck that's constantly wheeling is pretty useless. So, you don't really need to add any. Also, Breathstealer's Crypt in a creature-light build is too good to pass up. You're also seeing what others are drawing in case you want to save your wheels or if you need to get rid of their lands. That enchantment is great regardless. Oh, Mirage Block... dems were some good times...

That's what I was thinking but wasn't sure what you guys mileage was out of it. Also out of the cards being reprinted is there anything in particular you guys are going for? My list so far:

Depending on what I pick up cutting stuff will be the next hurdle and identifying what isn't preforming
There is little reason to run Gamble outside of a mono-red or RW deck because the other colors have tutors that don't require a random discard. All the tutors you get from black and blue will be enough for Nekusar.

I already run Dack, Crypt, V.Tutor, and FoW.
Depending on your Artifact concentration, Mox Opalis better than Chrome Mox. I'm not fond of that potential 2-for-1 when they pop the Chrome.
Maze is a nifty card, worth running if you have one.
Meech hit Gamble, so no need to reiterate there.
Pyroblast is only really good when you have a blue heavy meta, even then is just meh.
Deluge is fantastic in my Mono-B deck. Not sure here. I'd rather bounce (a-la Cyclonic Rift) and wheel since that's just hilariously fun.
I'm honestly not sure on JTMS. I did test him in early builds of my Nek and he always felt underwhelming.
I'd like to touch on Force of Will for a sec. I run it, yes. It's not often that I get to pitch a card for it and cast it for free. Most of the time it's "3UU: Counter Target Spell". Counter magic just seems counter productive to the nature of the deck (hence why I have only 2 dedicated slots to counters). You want to use your counters as backup to your winning this turn. There is no need to use them all willy-nilly. Hard counters or "Place on bottom" counters are the best to use (none of this Remand, Mana Leak or Memory Lapse nonsense) to try and make sure your spell will be a success. The few times that I have hit FoW for free make the card, for my build, worth running. Otherwise, I'd say just run something else in that slot.
Hi, I have been looking at your list and it looks good. Nekusar has intrigued me for very long and I've been wanting to build a deck which utilises his ability. Of all those several deck list in your primer, I was kinda' interested with the control combo variety. However, I am curious to ask if this will survive versus a meta with Titania, Omnath, Aurelia, Talrand and the likes because it seems a bit slow from looking at the list. It seems lacking on more Artifact ramps. What you're take on this. Anyone is welcome to give some insights.
Welcome, geenome. I'm not familiar with the Combo/Control Varient but my build (Spoilered) does run quite a few rocks which allow me to power out the occasional t2/t3 Nek. Lowering the overall CMC of the deck will allow you to race the creature decks while at the same time digging you deeper and moving you closer to the endgame. The builds we run are variable and for the most part tuned to our metas. If you see weenie hordes then spells like Night of Souls' Betrayal could be useful as well as cheap wraths (Damnation, Toxic Deluge), Mass bounce, and cheap targeted removal. After having the Wheel Package, Tutor Package and Mana Rocks you get quite a few spots for everything else: Counter Magic and Removal. If you also see lots of creature heavy decks, it might be worth it to move to a creatureless/near-creatureless deck running Breathstealer's Crypt as it adds to the drain per draw/discard. In your instance, I might also suggest the Mindcrank/Bloodchief Ascension combo as it can come online quickly and it can just win you games.
I feel the need for this deck list and it looks great plus the interactions of the selected cards but it feels too slow. Will that survive aggro decks? Aside from the 37 mana base, I could only see Sol Ring and Chromatic Lantern being the Mana rocks. Can someone shed some light? Would really appreciate it thank you.
My next planned changes are
-1 Expedition Map +1 Dack Fayden: The more I play with expedition map and armillary sphere the less I feel I need it with how much I wheel and it takes a crucial spot for Dack.
-1 Trinket Mage +1 Tezzeret the Seeker: Recommended by you guys.
-1 Island +1 Maze of Ith: Seems the easiest card to cut out for maze
-1 Vex +1 Vampiric Tutor: I am having trouble finding what to start cutting and this was the first to come to mind since it says may which implies they get a choice which is never a good idea since they will choose what is better for them.
I'm not sure where to refine from here I think I've headed into the midrange combo territory and would like some advice on what to be looking for next. I feel like I should start looking into my mana base but I'm not sure where to start other than steam vents, watery grave, and khans fetches.

I touched upon using it on Xmage which is really nice for testing decks with commander. It is very low on mana rocks with a decently high average CMC. I didn't like it after 4-5 games because it will fold to aggro very easily. I feel like it would do ok if your play group does a bunch of politics or is generally slower. It really depends on how competitive your pod is.
Thanks Duntix, probably I might have to go with the the Ramp Combo variant. My meta is filled with competitive aggro/combo who usually wins t4-t6. In which case I must tweak the list to keep up to this. Thank you for posting you list.
Duntix: Other than Bojuka Bog, the lands that ETB Tapped give you a bit of tempo loss. Sunken Hollow and Smoldering Marsh might be worth looking in to. Mana Confluence, Underground River, Sulfurous Springs, and Shivan Reef are really good as well. Yes they ping you, but you have to remember that your life total is just another resource. That's not even taking into account the ABUR Dual lands, but I don't expect any one to drop that kind of money on cards. Oh, and Exotic Orchard. That's where I'd start looking at for the mana base.
geenome: ah, there we go. You could try the wheel core wrapped in a stax/pillowfort shell to slow the game down to a pace you can win at. Or just run as much arty/fast mana as you can to power out a fast nek and begin wheeling. The beauty of getting a fast first wheel is that you will destroy the carefully sculpted hands of your opponents.
The only point of life that really matters is your last one

712.5b The controller of another player can't make choices or decisions for that player that aren't called for by the rules or by any objects. The controller also can't make any choices or decisions for the player that would be called for by the tournament rules.
Example: The player who's being controlled still chooses whether he or she leaves to visit the restroom, trades a card to someone else, agrees to an intentional draw, or calls a judge about an error or infraction.

Anyone else enjoying the prospect of Geier Reach Sanitarium as much as I am? It's another Mikokoro, Center of the Sea with the added bonus of forcing a discard. I'm gonna love doing this when my opponents have no cards in hand, lol.

I ran Lore Broker for a while and liked it, but recently cut it for better cards. Having the same effect on a land is great if you can spare the colorless source.
Does this mean I can discard my entire hand to drain 2 life from an opponent for each card I discard in the process? If so, I smell an additional wincon at a mere 1B!

mystic confluence is written "You may choose the same mode more than once".
Here "one or more" (like the "choose three" of the confluence), but the escalate cost says "you can discard a card for each mode chosen beyond the first".
