Yeah Bane can be non-bo I'd rather run Austere Command. Although Replenish and Emeria Shepherd can be good and we have Sun Titan and Eternal Witness to get stuff back so..
I get matched 1 vs 1 against Karador all the time on mtgo, at least 2 dozen times in the last year and all I can say is: Roon > Karador
Honestly, there is not much (if any) new technology out. There are some interesting plyables in SOI, but nothing that would stick around after initial testing and the novelty wears off. I picked up the 7 or so cards that are playable, but have not tested any of them. Due to aggressively devloping teysa, the one saffi game I get to play at on my outings wouldnt be sufficient testing if I did want to try them.
I do need to set aside some time for saffi soon. It is time for an overhaul.

Honestly with Shadows I have several cards that have been fantastic:
Cryptolith Rite: Turning all of our cheap creatures into a Birds of paradise is quite useful and allows us to cut down on the larger ramp as its easy to tutor in this deck.
i'm curious as to what a fantastic spell might look like. Something like skullclamp, pod, aura shards, pattern of rebirth, gift of immortality.. will something this powerful ever be printed again? I feel like we almost got another survival in evolutionary leap but meh it didn't pan out. Aside from a sweet etb maybe like coiling oracle in our colors or something, what are we really hoping for? more oulets? more tutors? more punishers like bond?
There are some nice synergy cards in SOI, but I don't think any are quite there in really competitive lists.
I never tried Evolutionary Leap, but was always curious. It has a lot of similarities to survival, but I think it actually plays more like Skullclamp. I just have too many non-creature slots in the deck already that I want to keep.
I'd love to see some more options for planeswalker hate. Actually, I've been thinking about testing out Hurricane as an answer to both walkers and fliers (which can also cause me issues) over a wrath.
Green/white sucks at combo due to lack of non-creature tutors

712.5b The controller of another player can't make choices or decisions for that player that aren't called for by the rules or by any objects. The controller also can't make any choices or decisions for the player that would be called for by the tournament rules.
Example: The player who's being controlled still chooses whether he or she leaves to visit the restroom, trades a card to someone else, agrees to an intentional draw, or calls a judge about an error or infraction.
I think G/W is pretty damn strong against PWs.
O Ring, Council's Judgment, Song, Beast Within.. Then there is Archon of Justice and Mangara. Plus we have lots of little dudes to smack with. Personally I've never had too much trouble against PWs.
GW does have some good removal spells for PW, I agree. Creature-wise though, I find it hard to attack into planeswalkers since we don't have a lot of evasion and most creatures are on the smaller side.
Tutors is right though--I'd definitely like to see another way to search up artifacts (usually sac outlets) aside from enlightened tutor.
We have a TON of creature tutors, so I'd love to see better sac outlets on white or (even better) green creatures. The reaper from SOI is OK, but the delirium clause really kills it IMO. I've thought about putting in Stoneforge Mystic and Mortarpod, but the latter as a sac outlet is cost-limited unfortunately.
The Emerge mechanic also seems like it would work really well with Saffi. Only one green creature so far though, Decimator of the Provinces. Could be interesting with Avenger of Zendikar or Hornet Queen, but I don't think it's quite a fit for my list.
Here's my decklist, pre EMN. The only card I'm certain I'll add at this point is Eldritch Evolution.
I like the TappedOut list and his commentary, although I disagree with him on a few cards. Greater Good and Academy Rector should be in every Saffi list IMO.
Alright guys, I've been lurking around on this thread for a while, and I, along with a lot of others, have been really bummed about the lack of great Selesnya stuff that we've been looking for, but I think the next fantastic card just got announced in Conspiracy. Recruiter of the Guard is for real. I don't think the deck even needs a rework for it to be good. I'm excited about it for Saffi. What do you guys think?
This thing is insane, and the first real card I'm going to be finding a spot for since a made the deck. I'm super excited to get my hands on a few of these.
Very solid synergies with the new recruiter. The biggest thing is that it finds combo pieces Karmic Guide and Mirror Entity, unlike the green-only creature tutors. I'll definitely find a spot for it. The main question is what to cut...? Woodland Bellower maybe...?
Bellower is not a must-run in my opinion since he can't directly get any combo pieces. He does find Fauna Shaman, which I'll go get a good portion of the time. Otherwise, he's a big body with an answer in the form of artifact/ench destruction, a fog, graveyard hate (scooze), or get a card back with e-witness.
Sanctum Prelate seems like a pretty narrow card for a singleton format like EDH. It's more of a legacy card where you know key non-creature cards in your opponent's deck, which are often 1-3 CMC.
I tinkered with my list last night, and came up with the following:
IMO, the biggest problem with combo Saffi at the moment is consistently finding a sacrifice outlet to end the game. The deck has a lot of creature tutors, but the only options at the moment are Mirror Entity (sort of) and Reaper of Flight Moonsilver (if delirium is on). We really need a green Viscera Seer or something like "Magus of the Greater Good". Academy Rector is pretty close in that you just need her to die to go get Greater Good. I might test out Idyllic Tutor, although I'd prefer a way to get the artifact sac engines.
I'd also like to try out Eidolon of Blossoms, since I have a decent enchantment count. How do you like it in your list?
Good call on Sanctum Prelate! I'm not quite sure what number I'd name anyway, but it seemed worth asking.
Re: Eidolon of Blossoms: I haven't gotten to play enough to know for sure whether it's great or not, but I have gotten to recur it a few times to draw cards when I was trying to dig for an answer.
I kind of feel like my deck isn't great, but I'm not sure what to cut or change around. I'm not sure I really want Greater Good. It seems like it can be bad unless I already have a 3+ power creature in play. But I could be wrong.
Greater Good is one of those cards where you don't realize how powerful it is until you try it. It's almost always the most useful combo piece to have in play BEFORE you assemble the combo. Consider how useful Blasting Station or altar of dementia are if you don't have an infinite combo to abuse them. But GG, even with only small creatures in play, can still help you FIND the missing combo piece(s) (or whatever you need at the moment).
Even beyond that, it's the easiest combo piece to get out of your deck. This is because Academy Rector can be searched up via the multiple creature tutors, which can quickly get any enchantment (another great reason to run powerful control enchantments like Parallax Wave or martyr's bond). The other sac outlets have to be drawn into or found with the single Enlightened Tutor.
On Eidolon of Blossoms: I love the card to death however I have found I need 14+ enchantments to make it work the best it can and currently Im at 10 so I don't want to risk it currently.

I played a game recently, and let me just say... parallax wave + eternal witness = so awesome
I do need to set aside some time for saffi soon. It is time for an overhaul.

Cryptolith Rite: Turning all of our cheap creatures into a Birds of paradise is quite useful and allows us to cut down on the larger ramp as its easy to tutor in this deck.
Fortified Village: More mana fixing!
Reaper of Flight Moonsilver: a free Sac outlet on a creature... We can't get any better.
Ulvenwald Mysteries: With how much we kill our own creatures, its gives us outlets for drag and gives us a manasink. Just my 2 cents.
