Ah, I see! So far the deck seems like a great idea. Zombie tokens are what makes Sidisi so great but the token creation isn't the main core - it's a side effect of the synergy (although it's the main production of zombies). Varina being white allows for all those token multipliers as well such as Anointed Procession.
I was able to play a couple of games last weekend with the Main Build to test out the recent changes. So far I didn't have any problems. All games were triple threat in a non cEDH pod. I won 2/3 games. The first two were won by the usual way of piloting the deck. However, I was able to protect my boardstate better by running the counterspells. The third game was against Prossh, Skyraider of Kher Jund goodstuff.dec and Jenara, Asura of War voltron. I had become the de facto archenemy for having won the first two games. I didn't switch decks because I wanted to continue testing the changes to Sidisi. Facing off against 2 flying commanders was no easy task. Not being able to take 2 straight chomps from a hasty turn 2 Prossh, I lost to commander damage on T3.
Overall I like the recent changes made to the deck. Sometimes it's hard to use removal spells or other answers (like counter magic) from the graveyard because it's just easier to recur permanents with the deck. That being said, I do run Eternal Witness which was helpful to at least get a Voidslime from the graveyard and have it in hand. What I'm tending to do is recycle Eternal Witness's etb trigger by sacrificing and then reanimating it. It's not something I want to be keen on doing but so far it has been the only real way to recur instants and sorceries. I don't run Snapcaster Mage because I feel like I don't run enough instant and sorcery spells to warrant its inclusion. At least Eternal Witness is a Regrowth on a body. I would add Skullwinder but it might help opponents just as much as myself.

I highly suggest Noxious Revival for getting anything back from the graveyard at instant speed. It can also hit other peoples graveyards, 'Oh, you want to reanimate that fatty, NOPE!'.
What's even better is it's a Phyrexian green mana so you don't even need to hold up mana.

Hm, that would be a good inclusion, indeed. The instant speed and free cost potentially outweighs the fact that it's a noncreature spell. As you say, it can also be used to screw over an opponent reanimating. Going to the top of the deck is not really an issue if you have some form of card draw and doing it at the end of turn before yours (or even in response to your draw step) is a good thing. It can also be used to save something from the graveyard. I will definitely consider it. The problem though, as with most cards viable for the deck, is what to swap?

Noxious Revival hits any card and it being instant speed gives many possible interesting interactions, a few of which being taking a card to the top in response to a Rest In Peace or in response to one of the shuffle Eldrazi's shuffle trigger. There's definite value.
It's funny that someone mentions return to deck/reanimation spells as I've been debating adding a few more of those myself, but like DK mentioned, the hardest part at this point is the deck list is so tight that cuts become a nightmare.
I've finally started to reacquire some of the cards I had to sale to pay for my divorce (though it's cost me most of two of my trade binders but this is my favorite deck so why not?). Atm that includes Gaea's Cradle and the OG duals. I will be replacing Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet with Clever Impersonator (easy swap out, keeps me from having to cut something else since I finally found my other Impersonator) as Kalitas just didn't have the impact I was hoping for.
Next on my reacquire list is Intuition and Survival of the Fittest (these were actually harder to find in my area than Cradle & duals).
Yeah, it's been a while since I've sat down to play the deck - even on Cockatrice. I've been very busy with college. However, I was at least able to test the recent changes in the deck when I made them and I was quite satisfied. It's very rare to have to make so many changes to this deck at once so it's not like I need consistent testing. I do like to play it whenever I have a chance just to not get rusty. This isn't a simple deck to pilot, after all.
@ WWWolfe:
I'm glad that you're at least on your way to recovering some of the cards you had to part with. At least for the most part they aren't entirely crucial but a solid mana base does go a long way.

To to hear but at least you're able to get it back. It sucks having to sell and then rebuy RL cards. I did it with City of Traitors last year after they spike again, that was painful.
Both those cards are good for EDH which makes them harder to find. Plus I believe Intuition is still legal in Legacy.

This is why I like posting my ideas and decks on this forum. When I have periods of time when I can really dive in and play and test then I post all things here. I'm still bouncing around the idea of slotting Vanifar and Intruder Alarm into the deck but no idea what to cut. Other then that I'm just changing sleeves and adding more foils
I highly recommend it. Adding those two cards was part of the recent significant changes I've made to the deck and no regrets. Intruder Alarm works well on its own and Prime Speaker Vannifar can pull her own weight but most of the creatures in the deck support her anyways and it's very easy to chain from 0-cost to Craterhoof Behemoth.

Got in a few games the other night. The most interesting was a slaughter on turn 5 or 6. Had out Path of Discovery and Embalmer's Tools with Sidisi. Was basically able to continuously explore with activations of Embalmer's Tools. With Wonder in the GY, I swung for lethal damage on two of the opponents, then the next turn took out the other.
The other two games were longer games where they kept me in check to a degree. I pulled out one late (turn 11 or so probably) but couldn't get on solid footing in the final one (it turned into Archenemy after the first two games) though I was doing enough to hold them off for a while.
Yeah, at first Sidisi is unassuming until you get a solid engine running. Then in subsequent turns you might become archenemy if using the same deck multiple games in a row. The good news is that most of the time you're able to manage because outside of exiling, you can always recover anything wrathed or spot-removed. I think that's what makes the deck so resilient. It can kill the table in a single turn (or two) but all while not worrying so much about resources or pieces. It's also not technically a combo-deck either; it's just a solid midrange hodgepodge of things.

If I were someone playing against that deck, I would choose a strategy that goes over the top and ignores the fact that your board is expendable except for buying time.

Definitely. I've been wanting to build a BUG deck for a long time. One that synergized dredge with self-mill, recursion, and graveyard shenanigans. But for what I wanted, The Mimeoplasm fell short. Then, Khans of Tarkir came out and I finally found what I was looking for in Sidisi, Brood Tyrant. The problem with the deck was that it was durdling too much with its engines. And then opponents could come and disrupt me or straight up take me out with combat damage. With Sidisi, the engines produced blockers as a side-effect of all the shenanigans. When I saw just how many zombies I could produce, they passed to attackers. The deck at first was good but not great; it was too inefficient. So I made significant changes to it and it's now what it is today. With its only true weakness being just a handful of cards (the ones that exile the graveyard upon entering the battlefield) with Bojuka Bog being the hardest of them to deal with (I would have to counter a triggered ability). But I really like the deck.
The version I play online isn't exactly like the one I play on paper because of how expensive most of the cards are and I am poor (hooray working middle class in Puerto Rico!) but slowly yet surely I am going to complete it with the only exceptions being the original duals and Gaea's Cradle. But Cockatrice is a good testing place because that's where I usually test the decks before sets actually get released. Fortunately, I haven't bought Prime Speaker Vannifar when it was released because it had too high a price tag. But Modern has shown that it's not as good as Birthing Pod so the price level has gone down.

This is my second Sultai deck, I've got a Tasigur, the Golden Fang deck too. It was a cEDH deck but I've tuned it down a little bit. It's still a control/reanimator deck with a combo finish that can win pretty quickly with a good draw.
Sidisi on the other hand is a completely different deck, out of the 28 or so decks I have it's certainly my favourite.
Middle class construction worker myself (Journeyman Electrician Foreman), loves being taxed to death. Hopefully with spring/summer coming now their will be more overtime.
I hear you on the pricing of cards, I'm glad I've got the stuff I've got because I'm not sure if I'd buy it with the current prices. I got a hell of a deal on the foil pieces in my deck so far. There's times being a responsible adult sucks, I rather just buy Magic cards haha. I don't play online so my decks are paper versions. However I only own single copies of duals, playsets of fetches and shocks. I have a staples binder and most people are cool with that in my play groups.
I put Villainous Wealth in as a placeholder after deciding to replace Fleshbag Marauder (which itself was just a placeholder) and oh my. I've never used the card before but the two times it's came up in games the past few days of playing at my LGS, it's been nasty with all the mana this deck can produce and helped contribute to blowout wins in games that went a little longer than I'd like. It's a nice little mana sink but I plan on testing it out more before deciding to leave it or not.

I cut Villainous Wealth from my deck because if X is too high, then the opponent scoops and you don’t get the spoils. Yet if you put enough into X that your opponent doesn’t scoop, you’re not being efficient with available mana. I just found it to be too odd for this deck. Maybe it’ll be better in a Sultai control/spellslinger deck like Damia or Tasigur.

Finally found an Intuition to trade for...though it's with my cousin 2 states away. We're going to complete the trade through mail. The trade itself is costing me 3 of the Khans fetch reprints and paying the postage for both sides. Given the problem I've had finding one, I'm more than happy with this deal. I tend to trust my cousin's grading of a card better than that of most TCGPlayer stores anyway.
Yeah, Intuition has become really expensive. I don't know why WotC expanded the Reserved List beyond Arabian Nights... But that's a rant for another time and place.

Oddly enough I've noticed the past couple of days that my deck has slowly been morphing from zombie tribal more towards the main build. The deck still has 17 zombies at the moment (6 of which I'm considering for potential swaps), but that's down from 26 at one point. I've taken Arcane Adaptation, Rooftop Storm, and Cavern of Souls out since unless I had Arcane along with one of the other two out they didn't feel as impactful.

I like about the Zombie Build is because every now and again it's fun to pilot a tribal deck. Although my Zombie Build is pretty good as far as tribal limitations go, I do prefer to play the Main Build because there's more strategies involved. If your own deck slowly becomes like my Main Build, just let it happen. But what you can do is just keep a separate pack of cards and a list of swaps for when you want to revert it back into a devoted tribal deck. That way it's like having two different decks without having to actually build two different decks.

Done.

Any thoughts on Body Double?

I've been using Body Double and even more so since I can use it in chains with Prime Speaker Vannifar.
