So, as I stated in the thread about my new Kodama of the South Tree deck, my current project is building 5 monocolored casual EDH decks. For my red general, I originally selected Purphoros, God of the Forge, however, I found that it drew so much hate that it was barely any fun to play. People are really wigged out about that fast damage! So I decided to keep most of the deck and convert it to a Homura, Human Ascendant deck. I always wanted to use a flip card for a general, and I find that the same strategy that I used in the purphoros deck (spit out tokens, ????, profit) worked with Homura as well. Now this is a casual deck so I've made some less-than-optimal card choices, but once the deck gets going it's a really fun, old-school type of magic experience, relying on attacking with creatures and pumping them up.
With Homura as the general, sacrifice outlets are key because the dude can't block. Big mana is important as well so that you've got plenty of red to pump your dudes with, and the few cards in red that trample or give trample are also bonkers once all of my dudes have been dragonized. This deck is a work in progress and I'd love any feedback or suggestions you might have! Here it is:
As far the future goes, I'm going to try to include more sacrifice outlets (need to buy another phyrexian altar), and the lands need work. the deck takes a while to get going, so I'm looking for more/better ramp. Truth be told, this deck jumps up in power quite a bit if I just use Purphoros as the general, but I really like Homura. I like this deck though because I can easily use Marton Stromgald, Purphoros, God of the Forge, or even Kumano, Master Yamabushi as the man in charge and still have a fun game.
I really wish more cards gave trample in red. Archetype of Aggression has won me quite a bit of games.

Prophetic Flamespeaker is probably the biggest bomb in the deck besides purphoros.
Anyway, thanks for taking a look! let me know if you have any questions or suggestions!
