Post #290 is where your list is referenced, Wraith, FYI. It's a pretty balanced list in my opinion.
So I think I'm going to try out Invoke Prejudice and Power Artifact. The Prejudice should help me keep creature decks under control and the Power Artifact has synergy with Memnarch and the Monolith Combos so that I can generate infinite colorless. I'll try them out for a few games, since I'm a little leery of Power Artifact based on past experiences. Infinite colorless mana has almost NEVER won me a game, even though I've achieved it a number of times in past games. It always felt bad to be able to have a mechanism to potentially win the game but have no way to convert it into colored mana. Perhaps it's simply bad luck, but I never had a tutor that could convert the mana into colored mana and get the table Memnarch'ed.

Cards I really think are not performing or are not exciting to draw.
Brainstorm (need something else)
Teferi (not impactful)
Mindslaver (hardly draw it)
Proposed changes
Long term plans (get what I need, and no one knows)
Empress Galina, steal plainswlakers or gods
The third spot for mindslaver is a mystery. I like true-name nemesis, but I have 2 other opponents to worry about. Maybe traning ground? Or recurring insight?
Typed on my iPhone,not easy.
I did find a replacement for teferi, at least right now. amabassador laquatus
No summoning sickness to kill everyone. Does not need colored infinite mana.
I highly recommend Recurring Insight or Pull from Tomorrow. These are two draw spells that have swung the game for me in various instances and I particularly like the Pull. So useful at instant speed and it can get huge with the amount of mana rocks we have in here.
So I've been playing against my friend's competitive Flying Men Edric deck, and it seems stupidly fast and tempo-oriented. It has the counterspell package that it needs in order to disrupt our plays and can generate a board presence in the blink of an eye. Then, with its cheap CMC general, it creates more card advantage than I've ever seen a non-Ad Nauseam deck generate. Has anyone had experience playing Wash Out or other cheap board wipes in blue? It might be time to put Oblivion Stone back in.

That Edric deck sounds tasty. I have had zero experience with Wash Out but it could be good. It wouldn't be as effective in my meta but it could work in yours.
I love O-stone. I feel like the ability to be easily searchable and abused with Academy Ruins makes it worth a spot. Even if the stone blows up our own mana rocks at times.
So I play against these three decks on a more regular basis, mostly in 1v1: Edric, Kaalia, and Yisan. And I've discovered that they are all really bad match-ups for me. Maybe it's the hands I've been keeping, but I've found myself needing an additional board wipe to complement All is Dust. While that card is usually sufficient against my normal playgroup, these three decks are causing me to re-evaluate the amount of removal I have. I'll give the O-Stone another shot.
How is oblivion stone worth it as it’s way to slow?
Washout sounds way better.
Forcefield?
Found a deck I have problems with and am now building. Food chain tazari is broken. Went off turn 3. O_o
Wash Out is going to have to get re-tested again. I tried a single game with the O-Stone last night against Kaalia, and it was indeed too slow. It seems like my wife gets Hellkite Tyrant at exactly the right moment nearly every game... or just kills my things with Rakdos Charm or Vandalblast. Padeem, Consul of Innovation is beginning to look attractive again as a maindeck include.
I don't think Forcefield is quite what I'm looking for against Edric, but against Kaalia and Yisan it seems decent. I might try Silent Arbiter since it hinders combat steps so effectively.
Yeah, Food Chain decks and and Storm decks are very difficult for any cEDH deck to handle. They are by far the best two types of decks, in my opinion, in the cEDH scene. I play against an Azami Storm deck from time to time, but I haven't played a fully tuned Kess Storm deck or Tazri Food Chain as of yet. I've watched a Prossh Food Chain deck on Laboratory Maniacs YouTube channel (I HIGHLY recommend this channel, by the way) and it's absurdly consistent. My suggestions would be to add cheaper counters, a la Spell Pierce or Negate or add Pithing Needle and Sorcerous Spyglass to shut down activated abilities of specific cards. I think I'll be adding both of those cards to my sideboard since I play against Yisan, Azami, Arcum, Freyalise Elfball, and a Thrasios DoomTide deck. My only complaint against building Tazri myself is that it is even more reliant on Food Chain then Prossh in my opinion.
The thing I don't like about Wash Out is that its a bounce and not destroy (we are in mono U so I understand). At least it hits all the permanents of that color. I used to play Evacuation as a combat trick but I found the bounce to not be that huge of a plus. Granted, I normally play multiplayer games.
Evacuation has been great until I played against Eldrazi. I still use it cause all i need is an extra turn. Blue and colorless board wipes are hard to come by.
Evacuation is definitely a good card and I played it for a very long time, but I will probably revisit any and all board wipes at this point. Engulf the Shore is even on the consideration board since most relevant creatures have a power of 4 or less, which is fairly decent.

Yeah, Memnarch is definitely soft to creature Aggro strategies. I think that adding Pongify will actually help since the real problems I've come up against are specific creatures that enable specific strategies. Spot Removal is very key in cEDH, I've learned, so I think that increasing the density of spot removal is the best way to go. Basically, in 1v1, if I can stall out their particular strategy long enough to safely land Memnarch, I can steal the card I'm worried about.
Both of these are removal effects for the type of games that I'm currently playing.
In other news, I've been strongly considering Pithing Needle and Sorcerous Spyglass. What is everyone's thoughts? I know that I've mentioned specific cards with activated abilities that need to be stopped, and I think that the cEDH decks that I see are all dependent on a specific card with an activated or triggered ability to win. I think that including one of them in the maindeck will ensure that specific matches are more favorable (i.e. Food Chain, Yisan, and Arcum decks) while also not ever being a dead card. I once Needle'd Necropotence to lock two players out of the game, which was really sweet, as an example of its general utility.
I like the move for Pongify...you have inspired me. I currently want to put Rapid Hybridization in my list for a total of 3 spot removal cards (Pongify, Rapid Hybrid, Reality Shift). I am very much in love with critter-Teferi. Convince me why you took him out? Mana cost? More lack of blue meta?
I gave teferi the gate for ambassador laquatus as the Merrfolk is a win condition. Teferi was pretty useless in every game I played except decks that use suspend. The Merrfolk is cheaper and works instant speed to win. Mill is a thing. I run pongify and reality shift. Worth.
Don’t forget to run duplicant to get rid of pesky collosus.
Ertaia is also good to not have the threat hit the ground.
@MuzzleMuffin
Lately, I've been playing more duel commnder against my wife's Kaalia deck and Teferi does absolutely nothing there. Also, he's on the expensive side CMC wise but he's slotted out for some testing. He's fantastic against a more control or U meta, but currently I don't play as frequently with my normal playgroup due to time constraints.
@Wraith
I've always found Ertai to be too slow and his ability too expensive for what he does. I got rid of him a long time ago because he was always a do nothing card.
Duplicant might make a comeback because he is a colorless card that I can use when I've got the Engine in play to untap rocks and he's also really good unconditional removal. In comparison to the other removal slots, it's a little expensive and I've foregone Deadeye Navigator synergies in my deck for the time being. They might come back though, depending on how much I want a late-game presence in the deck. The deck is currently geared towards fast combo with the Engine, and that strategy might change.
So my friend finally opened a gaming store! He and his girlfriend have opened up Eternal Lore in Northeast Maryland and they will be hosting tournaments every Saturday. I'm going to be talking to my wife and see if I can support them and play every weekend if possible, but we'll see. I think that this weekend I'll be taking Teferi, just to see what the competition is like, but then I'll be taking Memnarch on the weeks following! I should finally have some real life games to report on.
In other news, I've been playing around with an Edric Flying Men deck, and I gotta say the card advantage that deck accrues is absolutely absurd. I think I'll be investing in it and making sure it's streamlined for competitive play. The biggest thing that Memnarch and company can do to stop that deck is basically counter, steal, or kill Edric on sight. Once he resolves, it's nearly impossible to break out of the counterspells that Edric can wield. It might be time for Boseiju to come back along with Expedition Map, but it will depend on what decks I see at the tournament. Hopefully I'm the only one aware of the many cEDH decks out there.
So there's actually a pretty good diversity of play skill at the store that I went. I played with the Edric deck that I decided to build and I actually had a ton of fun with the deck. I was playing with two other people that weren't very competitive, hence my not playing Teferi in the first round. I did play Teferi in the 2nd round and I won pretty decisively. I think it would be a great place to take the version of Memnarch that the OP list is showing currently since the Storm version would catch a lot of people by surprise I think. I'm going to see if I can convince my wife to let me go this coming Saturday and play the Memnarch Mafia Laser-Beam Cannon list. Removal is going to be very important in the deck, since there are a number of decks that are very competitive.
Had a hilarious interaction with thaumatic compas. Had a great early start in a 7 person game. I decided to play memnarch without win on spot. I had unwinding clock out with 6 mana capapble everyturn. I took thaumatic compas from the guy to my right and proceeded to pull a land energy turn till it got me. I did it again but only got 4 more. +10 land out by turn 6 is just broken. It’s easier for me to win in large games than in small ones. Not sure why besides distance from opponents on table or fear of starting a fight.
No one attacked me cause I could cancel attacks now. I did this stupid play 3 times in that game. I was drawing only non land after that. I was terrified someone would boil my ass.
Forcefield was great against prosch and I only lost 12 life from attacking kobolds buffed my coat of arms. Cyclonic rift that ***** quick. Long term plans is a life saver and should be auto include.
@Wraith
I'm not sure how you're able to do it, Wraith, and just sit back with no one targeting you. Is it your demeanor or something? If so, I should probably be a little more meek or something.
I've actually been considering Intuition as an additional tutor that I'd completely forgotten about. It grabs whatever we need at the moment and helps make the execution of the deck's strategy much smoother. I just need to go through and make sure that there are 3 of at least every effect that I want.
When you play back to basics turn 3, people slow way down. Also, my play group knows not to come at me head on. I usually get sucker punched out of nowhere if I get beat. No one wants to be killed by their own commander, thus they know to target key pieces to slow me down. Everyone is trying the the new flip cards from ixalan, so I take advantage of it.
So I haven't yet played Memnarch in paper yet as Teferi has been requested each time I've gone. Apparently, people want to measure up their decks against mine. And the conclusion is that many people's decks, or playskill, need to get better. Of the 3 games I've played at Eternal Lore with Teferi (the other one was with Edric), I've lost only once and it was to my wife's Kaalia deck after she beat face with Gisela, Blade of Goldnight and Angelic Skirmisher after I had cast a timely All is Dust. The other games didn't even feel like games, despite being 3v1 most of the time. Teferi is the real deal, gentlemen.
With that being said, and based on my observations on what has been effective against the decks I've seen at Eternal Lore and in 1v1, I think I'm going to be updating the decklist yet again. The deck will still include Paradox Engine, because the card is absurdly good, but I'm going to be looking at it very hard to see if I can up the removal count even more and tweak the draw package some. By the way, Mental Misstep is really good. I highly, highly recommend it if you're going to be going up against cEDH decks.

There is a lot to consider with each wipe. So far I like Oblivion Stone, Wash Out, Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, Nevinyrral's Disk, All Is Dust, Aetherize, Aetherspouts....Cyclonic Rift doesn't really need mentioning...Let me know how your tests go. The only wipes I currently run is the O-stone, All is Dust, and Cyclonic Rift.
Being mono U normally means we are a little prone to creature strategies. I could see 1v1 being a heavy task for Memnarch.
I changed the OP to update the list.
