Well, Paradox Engine is just one of the most broken cards that they could have printed for Commander. Personally, I use Paradox Engine + Mana Rocks + Palinchron to generate infinite mana so I can just win the game. I have several ways of winning with it too:
So I should mention that I've played a number of games with my wife with this new configuration, and I've been loving it. But, I finally played a multi-player game with the new interaction, and the results are promising. I'll try and see if I can get some more games in, but Paradox Engine really is as broken as everyone complains about. Also, I put Gilded Drake back in over Mind's Desire, and I can't say I miss the Desire very much. Anyways, the game report.
4 Man game with Ghoulcaller Gisa, Captain Sisay, Kresh the Bloodbraided, Memnarch
So the the game was labeled competitive and I joined in. It seems that some people's definition of competitive isn't quite what I have in mind, so I kinda felt bad about the game. My game-winning turn was very, very long, and I eventually killed everyone with Aetherflux Reservoir. The other players were all pretty chill about it though, so I hope it was a learning experience for them. Anyways, I was last in the turn cycle, but I was ecstatic at the lack of Blue. I open with a great hand of Mana Vault, Island, Island, Sensei's Divining Top, Tezzeret the Seeker, Worn Powerstone, and Pull from Tomorrow. It was light on interaction, but I decided to keep because a T2 Tezzeret is pretty great. Gisa was first and played Swamp go. Sisay went next and played Avacyn's Pilgrim. Kresh went next and played Deathrite Shaman. I draw into Coldsteel Heart and play an Island into the Vault. Gisa plays Gravecrawler and passes the turn with another Swamp. Sisay plays Reki, the History of Kamigawa off of a fetchland and the Pilgrim and passes. I had to reread that card a few times, having never heard of it before. Kresh Cultivates for some more lands, exiling Sisay's fetch. I draw Reshape, play an Island into Tezzeret the Seeker and untap the Vault to cast the Powerstone. Gisa goes next and plays Plague Belcher and attacks my Tezzeret. Sisay fetches another land and plays Sisay. Kresh plays Kresh, exiling Sisay's fetch land. I draw into an Island, play it, and decide to go get Paradox Engine with Reshape. I tap my mana rocks, floating 5, and untap them with Tezzeret. I float another 5, and Reshape away my Worn Powerstone into the Engine, 5 floating. I use 2 of it for Coldsteel Heart, untap trigger gets Mana Vault untapped. I tap the Mana Vault again for mana, 6 floating now. I cast the Top, untapping the Heart and Vault. I tap them for mana, 9 and [mana]U[/floating]. I use my last untapped Island to cast Pull from Tomorrow with X=9, Storm count 4. I untap my mana rocks, draw 9 cards and discard an Island. I drew into Whir of Invention, Snapcaster Mage, Mox Opal, Mox Diamond, Island, Ancient Tomb, Fact or Fiction, and Disallow. No one has any responses, since they're all tapped out, so they ask if I'm going to win. I reply that I probably am, and I apologized. They're polite about it, and I continue my turn. I tap the Vault and the Heart for 3 colorless, 1 blue, and cast Mox Opal to untap them, Storm count 5. I tap the Opal, Heart, and Vault for 6 colorless, 3 blue floating. I discard an Island to Mox Diamond, untap my things, Storm count 6. I tap all my mana rocks, 9 colorless, 6 blue, and use 3 colorless and 1 blue to play Fact or Fiction, untapping my stuff, storm count 7. I have 6 colorless, 5 blue floating. Fact or Fiction flops into Grim Monolith, Kefnet the Mindful, Counterspell, Swan Song, and Gilded Drake. They split the pile into Swan Song + Monolith and Counterspell+Gilded Drake+Kefnet. I take the Monolith pile. I tap my mana rocks to float 9 colorless and 8 blue floating, cast Monolith, storm count 8, 7 colorless and 8 blue floating, untap all my stuff again. I then play Snapcaster Mage, floating 13 colorless and 11 blue mana, untap my stuff, target Pull from Tomorrow with the Snapcaster, Storm count 9. I tap all my mana to float 19 colorless and 14 blue mana into Pull from Tomorrow, X=31, Storm count 10. Since I stopped keeping track of what I drew at this point, I start chaining draw spells and more mana rocks to increase my Storm count and mana count, cast Whir of Invention to find Aetherflux Reservoir (which I hadn't drawn yet, haha), and chain spells to gain enough life to activate the Death Star for each of my opponents. 3 laser beams of 50 life later, I won the game with 253 life left. Kind of a non-interactive game, but an early Paradox Engine put the game away on T3 for me.
I was being sarcastic.....and had to check the ban list to see if I missed an update.
I don't run paradox engine in my deck, but have memnarch'd one a few times and found it great. Problem is that I can't find a spot for it. It's an auto hate card on the table and the next leavold level card that might get banned.
So far, I have won more games with trickbind, stifle, and disallow by stopping their fast win conditions. Opponents kill their pieces, control is waged on them, and I won later. Tree of perdition into aerherflux cannon.....no.
Gilded drake is a must with the hour of devistation gods.

Would you mind if I link this primer on my tappedout page? I'd love to get this thread some more exposure.

I'm going to be making a cut somewhere so that I can add a Phyrexian Processor. I want to be able to make infinite creatures as well.
@MuzzleMuffin
Absolutely. Feel free to post it wherever you desire.
@Genosyde Phyrexian Processor is a cool card. It has a very interesting ability and creates a board presence very quickly. I'm concerned that it might not be especially relevant to what your opponents are doing. What is your playgroup like? Is it heavy aggro? Or is it heavy combo? The premier Aggro decks in my group, Animar and Kaalia, simply laugh at the Processor and thank you for shortening your clock for them, so I try to conserve my life total as vigorously as possible.
Also, I think there comes a point where you can have too many infinites going on at once. I've found that my deck is most successful when I focus on 2-3 combos that require different pieces so I'm not weak to a single removal spell our counterspell on a critical spell.
My combo is mostly just Palinchron + Planar Portal + Paradox Engine. The rest is just for show but it all works off of the same combo start. Theres really no reason for the rest it. I don't really have a play group because no one wants to play against my deck anymore lol.
nah. I have too many mana rocks and tutors for my deck not to work properly. The mana rocks are all so good that it's hard not to find something to cast for 4 or 5 mana on turn 3 or 4. Plus, I added a couple of mana sinks so that if I don't have a combo piece, I can do something with the mana (aside from Memnarch)
@Gen0syde
Which mana sinks do you like the best? I've been testing Kefnet the Mindful and I've really been enjoyinng him. Being able to dump mana into a draw effect has been great, even if his effect his hella expensive.
In a more general note, I've switched Mind's Desire for Gilded Drake. I've found that Mind's Desire is just win more, and I needed a few more pieces of early interaction against my opponents. Gilded Drake is the best at what he does and can best cast early, so he gets the nod.
Currently my favorite mana sink is Tower of Fortunes. However, I have used Kefnet the Mindful in the past but felt it was too weak for me because i always wanted him active and my lands are sort of fragile because i am playing Scorched Ruins and Lotus Vale
Currently my favorite mana sink is Tower of Fortunes. However, I have used Kefnet the Mindful in the past but felt it was too weak for me because i always wanted him active and my lands are sort of fragile because i am playing Scorched Ruins and Lotus Vale
You don't have to bounce the land to hand. It is a may clause. But I understand that your lands are fragile.
Yea I understand that it is a may ability but with Scorched Ruins and Lotus Vale along with my land count, my mana base is a little fragile. Land destruction can really hinder me. I really only need the lands for the first few turns until i get enough mana rocks out but until then, if my lands are touch by any of my opponents, I lose pretty hard.
Land destruction hurts a whole lot. My meta is heavy U, and my wife decided to start playing Boil because of it. She's killed dozens of lands now with that card... and won lots of games by being the only person who has land.
I've come across a few corner cases where Kefnet the Mindful wasn't quite good enough. I either really wanted him as a blocker or the ability was too expensive. I'll be considering adding Staff of Domination and either Rings of Brighthearth or Metalworker. I'm on the fence about that particular slot, but I do think that it needs to be a card draw spell of some sort. Perhaps Time Reversal will come in as a back up to Time Spiral... Decisions.
I've thought about some of those too. Time Spiral was the one I wanted to play but unfortunately for me, it is way too expensive as a foil for me to pick up just yet.
I got into EDH as something that I could do with one of my buddies cuz he has sort of stopped playing competitive Magic. So I started building an EDH deck but quickly found out that apparently having an all foil deck is like having a Dick measuring contest or something. IDK. I just decided that if I'm going to play the format, I guess I have to foil out the deck. I hate foils but if it's going to show people that I got "The biggest one" I guess I'll do it lol.
Im only about 60% of the way there though. The islands are expensive and some of the card like Grim Monolith and Palinchron are really expensive as foils so I have some work to do.
Land destruction hurts a whole lot. My meta is heavy U, and my wife decided to start playing Boil because of it. She's killed dozens of lands now with that card... and won lots of games by being the only person who has land.

Staff of Domination has done so much work for me. All the abilities have been extremely relevant (minus the lifegain...but great when infinite). Being able to go infinite is the cherry. I would go with Rings of Brighthearth over Metalworker (although going infinite with staff + metalworker on field + 3 artifacts in hand goes infinite as well). Both are great cards and find homes in my list. I slightly favor Rings for being able to get double lands with fetchlands and Thawing Glaciers. Both are situational cards so either one wouldn't be wrong. I would just consider that when evaluating each one.
I know this might be dumb, and I might have missed discussion, but how does the new "unified" ban list impact us? A lot of things are now "banned" even though it makes ZERO SENSE to ban many of those things in multiplayer casual, vs. 1V1 "competitive".

The unified ban list neuters a ton of of the cEDH decks, and it makes mana dork decks much more powerful since they'll have access to faster mana than we don on T1. The banning of Mana Crypt, Sol Ring, Mana Vault, Back to Basics, and Mana Drain all hurt the deck pretty substantially. I definitely agree that these cards shouldn't be banned in multi-player casual, but if you are trying to play in some online leagues, you'll need to add more creature hate and counterspells to try and compensate for the loss of the mana rocks. At that point, I'd probably start looking for an additional color to open up more creature hate options.
There is a unified ban list?????? When did the Whinney $&@(! Take over?
Played 4 pods the other the day. Memnarch reigned supreme. The first two matches were entirely unfair. The first two pods were ALL ur dragon. These opponents used group hug style cards to get going. Well timed all is dust or cyclonic rift, into back to basics. Both games scooped. The other two games were ur dragons, ezuri, and Miri. Went infinite easy as the other two non urdragon decks were picking on ur dragons bad. Why is ur dragon so popular? Control eats it bad??????
Invoke prejudice worked in two games. Most decks run blue, but the creatures really weren't blue that are the dangerous ones or even played. It works with ease to save counters for real bad creatures.
Force field was a boss against huge swings or voltron Miri. They stopped attacking me. Vedelken shackles was funny for one reason for one game. Stole a Vorinclex, it was killed, and I preceded to steal Elish-norn. People really hate those cards and really don't like when you steal them eaither.....
Stole a dragon that gains control of all artifacts. Mycosynth Lattice and treachery is funny with that card. Table scooped before I could hit with it.

The unified ban list is for those poor souls who want to attempt playing leagues on MTGO. Which will never be me, so I won't be adhering to the unified list. Ever.
Your game report is great. I love the evidence that you are showing for Invoke Prejudice. Especially with the reduced creature package that I run, it would do even more work in making sure that creatures aren't being cast. Keep track of a few more games, and I'll proxy one up and play some paper games with it and see if it gets into the main list. What does your list look like now? I don't remember which page you posted it on.
I think The Ur-Dragon is so popular because it's just so incredibly Timmy. You play all the coolest dragons and smash face. What's not to love about that in a more causal game?
EDIT: Played a couple of more games with Memnarch and I've found Kefnet to be not so good AND Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir. I've been playing against heavy aggro recently, and Teferi does nothing against Stax lists or Aggro decks. Animar just laughs, Kaalia chuckles, and Tana and Tymna Stax lists just kind of stare at you strangely. I want to replace it with something, and I think this is probably the perfect opportunity for Invoke Prejudice.
Aetherflux Reservoir (for infinite damage and life)
Blue Sun's Zenith (make your opponents draw their entire deck)
Obviously Memnarch (steal all the permanents)
Conjurer's Closet + Mnemonic Wall / Archaeomancer + Time Warp (infinite turns)
Phyrexian Processor (infinite giant creatures)
I haven't been playing much due to work. Will start playing when I start teaching at college again.
