Now that's a card I can get on board with. Pretty sure I will be trying to find a spot for that guy.
EDIT: Somehow missed all the posts. We have a low curve and it does not exclude non-lands, there's a really good chance it will put something in play on death. And even if it doesn't, it still puts the card in our hand. AND it's an aggressive 3 drop. There's really no downside to this card. Opponents will hate it because dealing with it will be such a PITA but leaving it around is far worse. I definitely think this deserves a home, will be working on figuring out how to slot it in.

Damn straights, and if you use tutors like vampiric thats a free sage of fables/drana/unspeakable symbol/necropotence or 1/3 of the time land/mana rock ramp.
The ability seems okay, but it's more or less an Arena on legs, but at least to me, I don't think it's all that castable (insane for a three drop). It's probably slightly better than Arena in that I have 24 non-lands w/ CMC 3 or less. With 38 lands in that deck that's 62 cards it can dump into play, but it's also much more fragile, even with Marchesa.
Looking over my list, I have:
Ashnod's Altar
Mana Crypt
Phyrexian Altar
Sol Ring
Talisman of Dominance
Talisman of Indulgence
City of Brass (for now)
Mana Confluence (for now)
Opal Palace
Phyrexian Tower
Tarnished Citadel
Volrath's Stronghold
Doesn't really seem like enough to me to want to have a card that is actually fairly low power IMHO languishing in hand. I think I'd rather just have Painful Truths or one of it's ilk. (WotC, I am still waiting for my 1BB 2/1 that says "When ~ enters the battlefield draw 2 cards and lose 2 life.")
I wouldn't mind being proven wrong, but I won't be grabbing one until that time.
that thin is insane, i would run that over a lot of the cards we currently run. Dumping a dude or land directly into play or drawing a card? Sign me up twice

Yea I definitely want it in.
@slikwilly you aren't wrong though, we might have to think about our mana here. Getting a colorless source is no joke, in the main decklist we have a grand total of 9 (not counting Reflecting Pool since that only makes colorless if we have another way to make colorless). We currently have no way to fetch colorless sources since fetchlands can't do it and we have no Wastes for Solemn Simulacrum and Burnished Hart. If we simply put Matter Reshaper in there is a really strong chance he would just get stuck in our hand.
If we're going to play Matter Reshaper or any other C cost guy, I think we need to talk about our landbase. We're going to need more stuff like Mana Confluence, the painlands, the shadowmoor filterlands, etc. and less stuff like the checklands, River of Tears, etc.
Also rune, I never noticed this before but are you really not playing Cavern of Souls? I pretty much put that card in any EDH deck since it makes your commander uncounterable but in this case we actually have a tribal theme, seems like a no-brainer.
It has to happen twice just to get ahead, otherwise it's just a cantrip. I'd probably also want to add a Top to my deck for better control. (Don't have one ATM because to this point I haven't wanted to shell out for a foil one.)
But to go along w/ what CentralCommand is saying, maybe just a Waste would do it since Hart and Solemn can search it up. That'd up my list to 15 (tentative) sources though I'd want to see some percentages on it first.

So after almost 2 months with the points in my account on pucatrade, I have a Sneak Attack on the way! The next step is to get my manabase to the point where I can abuse it with enough red. My land base is currently really budget but has been working. I don't have duals, fetches, shocks, or filter lands. I'm heaviest in black, then blue, then red so I think I'm only running 2 basic mountains vs probably 7 swamps and 5-6 islands. Should I just start swapping out swamps for Graven Cairns and islands for Steam Vents so my overall amount of blue and black don't decrease but I get more red sources? Just focus on the red Nonbasics? I am on a budget as I don't get to play magic that often and I have other decks I keep up as well.
Hello this might be a little off topic but I added a few cards that just work good with the deck imo like AEther Vial and Tezzeret, the Seeker. Just would like some input on how those seem since i have like 27 different 4 drops so aether vial can do work and Tezzy can search for mana rocks, artifact creatures, and lightning greaves.
If we're still looking for colorless sources, I'd suggest Volrath's Stronghold to anyone who has room for it. It's always been a nice utility land for me.
so fun new card we got which i have been toying around with. Deepfathom skulker alot of the time card draw can be slow going and bident of thassa was a card i always felt like we wanted. but in my build i was looking for it on a bodyso the more creatures the better. thoughts? alsomatter reshaper is an insane card. can comfirm. played a game last night with it and it got me no less than 4 lands and a few creatures and manarocks and only "wiffed" twice.
The official EDH forum is getting the reddit hug of death right now, but word is that the mana generation restriction is removed. This means that tapping City of Brass for green or white produces green or white. You can make mana outside your color identity now. Matter Reshaper and other {C} costs will be harder to play.
Also Vancouver mulligan with one free mulligan to 7 is official, so manabases might need to be changed accordingly.
Edit: Managed to get the text of the announcement.
Rule 4:
We still love Rule 4. It's a nice piece of flavor and reinforces the idea that this format goes beyond simple mechanical restrictions into a deeper philosophical approach around color and mana symbols. Its effect on the game was pretty small, but that flavor message made it worthwhile to preserve.
However, the mana system of Magic is very complicated, and trying to insert an extra rule there has consequences in the corners. Harvest Mage. Celestial Dawn. Gauntlet of Power. And now, colorless-only mana costs.
Being able to generate colorless mana more easily in Commander wasn't going to break anything. But, it represented another "gotcha" moment for players, who were now likely to learn about Rule 4 when someone exploited the colorless loophole. We could paper over it (both "mana generated from off-color sources can only pay generic costs" and "you can't pay a cost outside your color identity" were considered), but a lot of the flavor would be lost in the transition, defeating the purpose. Without the resonant flavor, Rule 4 was increasingly looking like mana burn - a rule that didn't come up enough to justify it's existence.
We don't expect removing the rule to have a big impact. Some Sunburst and Converge cards might get a bit more of a look. Sen Triplets works more like you'd expect, as does Praetor's Grasp. The clone-and-steal deck, already one of the most popular archetypes, gets better, but less than you might think. It turns out there really aren't that many impactful non-blue activated abilities on cards that commonly get stolen in Commander. It's OK if you can regenerate that creature you just stole, and you'll need to work for it a bit anyway.
One side benefit to the removal of both the color production and mulligan rules is that, in terms of game play, Commander becomes a normal game of multiplayer Magic with a higher life total and a set of additive rules to bring a new piece (your Commander) into the game. That's good streamlining in terms of teaching people the format and reducing gotcha moments while still preserving the essential flavor of Commander.
Whelp, glad I hadn't pre-ordered a foil Matter Reshaper for my deck as this change renders my already limited ability to cast the card just way too unreliable. I'm not about to cut ABU duals for pain lands or filter lands and I for one am I firm believer in running large quantities of basics (I run 5/6/5) because Blood Moon, Back to Basics, and Price of Progress are the devil.
Anyone got any suggestions on dealing with Omnath, Locus of Rage? I'd say my Marchesa deck used to be the best aggro deck in my shop, but I think I've been overtaken by Omnath. Getting 5/5's for playing lands which a G deck is going to do a bunch of anyway is a real nice ROI.

A friend of me runs Omnath, Locus of Rage and I agree it's a though matchup. In a large multiplayer game he's less of an issue since a lot of people pack mass destruction / bounce. If it's all up to you though, Necroplasm shuts it down but is not easily tutored for at 3cmc. Mass bounce, such as Profaner of the Dead does the trick but is also not that easy to do, at least early game. Also Living Death.
Personally I think my friend is gonna get bored with the deck soon, every game is the same; ramp -> ramp -> ramp -> attack with 10 tokens.

Hey, Solrune. Do you happen to have an updated decklist that you are using? I'm just getting started with this commander and am super excited to try her out.
If you want here is a link to my decklist here. I made my decklist using his as a shell and then tweaking a few things based on cards that I had and my shops environment(we really don't like people using tutors).
I've been thinking about adding Silumgar back because I have all the clones in the world, but when someone drops a bomb that if they just have it completely screws me over.
Now that's a card I can get on board with. Pretty sure I will be trying to find a spot for that guy.
