This started as a Sisay legend deck but evolved as I relized that a lot of the good legends can single-handedly answer entire deck archetypes. This led to addition of hate-bears and the like. Tutorable answers are awesome, but they are sure to die, so there's also quite a bit of recursion.
After playing it a few more times, I'm looking to speed it up. I've traded for a Mirari's Wake and will be adding a Farhaven Elf, but I'm not sure how many other ramp cards to add or what to chop. Wheel of Sun and Moon recently screwed me over, turning Sun Titan, Reveillark, and Karmic Guide into fairly useless draws (and yes, I got all three that game). It was in there for three reasons: A) as an answer to mill, B) to give Capain Sisay a Mindslaver lock, and C) to make Samurai of the Pale Curtain only affect my opponents. With no way to tutor for it, though, those are all big ifs, so I think it's an easy cut.
Next would probably be Tajuru Preserver, just because Sigarda has the same ability, is harder to remove, and is more tutorable.
What do you guys think? How many ramp spells should I add?
So Mirari's Wake has proven unnecessary, and I've decided to cut it so I can add it to my superfriends deck. I also cut Melira, Sylvok Outcast as her ability has never been needed in any of the games I've played. In her place is Yisan, the Bard, a legend I can tutor with Sisay that will then tutor for creatures regardless of legendary status. I don't want to fail on his first search, so I am adding Sylvan Safekeeper for protection.
I just need to cut one more card for Hushwing Gryph. Originally I thought Tajuru Preserver would be next to go, but my meta has evolved to have a lot more forced sacrifice, and this two drop saved me in one game long before I could have tutored and played Sigarda. Maybe Aegis of the Gods. Also, I would love to get a copy of Time of Need eventually.
I'm looking for all of those, but I either can't find them or don't have anything for trade that the other person wants. And I probably won't anytime soon considering I just depleted more of my binder's value to improve my superfriends deck. Some day...
so i have a captian sisay EDH deck and in my opinion the best way to go is actually LESS legends and tune it more towards specific goals. my deck, the one i spent most of my time on focuses on taking legends and removing threats to my board before they happen. in order to do this it means gradually lessening the effectiveness of the possible answers my oponents have to my board. as your prison closes around them, by the time the realize whats happening they will most likely have nothing. the bread and butter of you deck will be gaddock teeg. he should come out early every game and is the building block of where you want to build a board state. from there getting things like dosan, linvala, avecyn and sigarda remove the effectiveness of you opponents cards. then come the fun cards like stearling grove and privileged position. they work to give all you things shroud. at that point you have a board that only loses to maybe 2 cards in all of magic. that is how my deck plays and it uses cards like survival of the fittest, academy rector and sun titan to get there

That's certainly a valid strategy, but the whole reason I built Sisay was to have lots of legends to tutor from. My deck does something similar to yours, answering various opponents and protecting my own board, but we just take a slightly different approach.
Yisan is awesome, helping me to tutor legends and non-legends alike. Hushwing is an answer to ETB deck and only limits a few of my cards. Sylvan Safekeeper can be an answer to spot removal, but was mostly included so I don't have to fail to find on Yisan's first search.
After a few more games, I found Mirari's Wake wasn't actually needed, and I added it to my superfriends deck instead. Melira was too corner-case and was never called for. And Aegis went just to clear another slot.
I just realized I need to update the decklist (there have been some changes), but I just wanted to say how excited I am for Containment Priest - it's a great hate bear that answers reanimator, persist, undying, blink (take that, Deadeye!), Marchesa, Derevi, Tooth and Nail, Kaalia, Mayael, etc. What a phenomenal card!
Sylvan was never relevant and was only added so Yisan might find something on his first activation (provided I hadn't already drawn it). Containment Priest may be the best non-legendary hate bear ever printed. It shuts down blink, reanimation, Sneak Attack, Tooth and Nail, and even Derevi's pseudo-flash ability. Take that, Dead-Eye Navigator! Hall gives me haste, and Lighthouse provides an answer to hard to target generals.
I also have a copy of Tower of the Magistrate that I have considered adding as an answer to voltron equipment decks (watch all of the equipment fall off), but I'm worried about having too many colorless lands. I may swap out Arcane Lighthouse if it doesn't play out. I mean, I can remove hexproof or shroud, but I don't have that many targetted effects and would be relying on my opponents.
Dosan was an easy cut because Dromoka shares a similar ability (without restricting when I can respond to things), all while having more power, flying, lifelink, and not being countered. And I finally got the other legendary land.
Yisan just wasn't cutting it. I have no 1-drops, so he auto-whiffs the first time, and even after that he is just too slow. I decided to give Trostani a try because I've had some games where I needed a life buffer to keep me alive while I build control over the board. It kind of feels like a waste because I can't use the populate ability, but we'll see.
Vorinclex has actually been out of the deck for ages (not a fan of the games he inspires), but I never listed the change. Anyway, Rhys is taking that slot.
The new Thalia is awesome, offering a legendary (and therefor tutorable) alternative to Imposing Sovereign. I just traded for her and am very excited to give it a try.
It's going to be legen... wait for it...
