Eerie Interlude is definately worth consideration. I've been thinking about testing Ghostway too. Probably gonna give it a try.

How do you feel about eerie interlude? Dodges themes exile effects that are just about the only weakness this deck has once it gets going. Anything from SOI you like?

Yep I totally agree, if your meta has a lot of those effects it's definitely worth including. I don't have them just because my meta doesn't run mass exile effects.
The decklist nowadays doesn't have that many cards in the core - there's definitely room to swap meta cards in and out based on what you need

You don't even have to play in a meta that plays mass exile / mass tuck / mass sacrifice to make this worthwile. Try playing Wrath of God, then in response Eerie Interlude with a full board. Or even better: EOT before your next turn, play Eerie Interlude, then Rout.

I think from play testing I don't like dueling grounds that much in my meta(sometimes it can actually hold you back), but I do like the devotion contribution and eidolon trigger. Perhaps duplicant, though I haven't tested it enough to know if thats a mistake.
Edit: Actually aspect of the mongoose is probably the weakest card in the deck
Thread seems kind of dead- eerie interlude is amazing from all my testing, winning me the game for me when I've cast it if not countered. The ulvenwald hydra I also added as it can get utility lands, ramps you which this deck always likes, and honestly can just get the job done with massive attack.
Yeah it does. Shame. I check it every now and then and I would very much like this to become a valuable thread to stay up to date. I've been playing with my build quite a lot lately and I've come to like it more and more. Haven't been able to get my hands on either the hydra nor interlude though. When I find the time, I'll post my list someday.

I have a deck like this, but I use Captain Sisay as the General. Since she can tutor up Karametra and the Legendary permanents anyway, Sisay seemed better for this type of strategy overall. I dont have the everbroken SotFittest/TaNail but aside from Captain Sisay I have the other tutors and it works fine. You have to cheat or ramp into the Archtype, but I found blue players cloning the Archtype was pretty aggravating and made the the card more of a liability, so I removed it. However, I found I dont need it. CSisay can tutor up the trifecta of 8.5 Tails, Gaddock Teeg and either Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Linvala or Sigarda (mass sac protection). Gaddock Teeg was the gear missing from the machine. Sure, you can't play wraths main or not many at least but you don't want too anyway. It's much better to assemble the Legendary Trinity to keep your entire army on the battlefield.
Yeah it does. Shame. I check it every now and then and I would very much like this to become a valuable thread to stay up to date. Seeing as this is now my main deck(my planeswalker doubling season deck and tasigur deck are too un-fun for opponents) and I've foiled it out, I plan on doing my part in keeping it active.

The deck has a lot of defensive cards so you should definitely adjust it for your meta! Dueling Grounds is actually an all-star in my meta because there are a lot of token / aggro decks. I've actually cut Aspect of Mongoose too (just haven't updated the decklist yet, and lately I've been finding multi-spot removal really useful - cards like Luminate Primordial, Angel of Serenity and Grasp of Fate. Grasp is actually amazing as it also grants two devotion. I don't see the hydra doing too well in my meta mainly because it doesn't have trample and most the decks in my meta have a lot of options for chumping.

Good to see you back. I've cut constant mists/dueling grounds since my meta isn't heavy enough on tokens to justify. I put in seasons past and I think its an all star. Every game I draw it I crushingly win. One game in particular was amazing- I was top decking with just mana reflection out, drew that, then basically played my graveyard including a garruk who drew me 14 off the hydra who was among the cards. Also, knowing its in your deck makes you feel less bad when key pieces get thrown in the grave. Funnily enough this deck, despite being pretty reasonable in terms of power level in my opinion, has really become target number 1 most of the time. Any time auramancy or position gets played its usually destroyed, and especially lurking predators gets head hunted.
Basically my list is the one in the OP but:
- aspect of the mongoose
-dueling grounds
-constant mists
+ulvenwald hydra
+eerie interlude
+seasons past
if you have heavy aggro I'd say keep the grounds and mists, but otherwise these changes have made the deck a lot scarier
Shaman of Forgotten Ways won me a game i thought i was hosed on the other day. played it late after reaching the lock with avacyn/archetype. playing against a crazy surrak combo deck, a tasigur deck that was very reslient, and an ayli deck that just makes dudes to get rid of other dudes and can be really fast and controlish. they honestly should have won. i put together the lock last turn, and tasigur player had a Cyclonic Rift in hand but no blue sources. they forgot about the second part of the shaman. so i cast Wrath of God and activate. the ayli player gained some life but then i swung and killed him. definitely a win more card, but can surprise people. meta dependent. we aren't too competitive.
I'm gonna give Shaman of Forgotten Ways a try! I very much like the fact that he makes sure that we can play Karametra after casting him since he provides 2 mana - I really hate games where I can't play Karametra on T5, and I've been excluding ramp like Harrow ever since Primal Surge was included. So the Shaman is both the acceleration I'm looking for and a wincon. Thanks for that, never looked at him that way. Might be win more, but I like to win more ;).

Wow season past is amazing! One of the main issues with the deck is that anything that goes into the GY goes completely offline, this solves that issue and also generates tonnes of card advantage! Definitely gonna try and find a slot for this in my list
I'm going to try it for tomorrow night's game as well if i can get to this deck, hoping for three matches, this will be match 3. working on improving a few other of my decks so play testing time is at a premium. the only problem with season's past is i'm not finding too much stuff in the GY without mill or a ton of counterspells. but my group is getting better...
plus i pulled a foil Season's Past, so it's meant to be, right?
had to move monday's game to tuesday because the Warriors game. this also meant four people nstead of six-8
game one i played Karametra. the table was Omnath elementals, Bruna aura's, and Rubinia. Bruna and Omanth are explosive. i managed to stay alive long enough for omnath to get taken out of the game, then kept alive (Barely) and took the game home. the best part was never saw archetype or avacyn, or any way to cheat them in. i won with an entwined Rude Awakening, took out bruna, hit up eerie interlude to untap most of my board (the lands still being creatures) and passed. this was definitely not the best play. i ended up winning thankfully because the Rubinia player whiffed on a top deck.
sadly, i didn't get to see any of the additions to the deck, but wanted to share that this deck can hold it's own without the main stars. that being said, i'm going to find some room for season's past today. i wanted that card pretty badly during this game, because my graveyard actually got full.
I have shifted the focus in my list to more of a toolbox and recursion deck while still retaining the element of having a well protected board.
One card I found particularly amazing is Glacial Chasm. It helps to alleviate the early pressure that was already discussed as being problematic and lets us develop our board while our life total is protected. It also stops any damage based combos or annoying stuff like Nekusar.
Another card I found to be great is Ulvenwald Hydra. It gets powerful lands like Emeria, the Sky Ruin or Dusk Bowl while probably being the biggest creature on the board. Plus it has reach to protect from fliers.

Realm Seekers is pretty good for this as well. i don't use it in kara because my utility lands aren't really that big of a deal. although looking at your decklist it looks like you cut it in March. also your deck looks hella fast, any reason you don't run Amulet of Vigor? seems like that would almost always chain one additional creature for you with your low mana curve. no ideas as to what to cut though, so i almost didn't even make a suggestion.
Thanks for the suggestions Realm Seekers is very much on my radar. The problem with it is though, that they are rather clunky. To get to the first land I'd have to spend 6GGG and then it isn't even on the battlefield. I still think about finding a slot for them though.
I previously thought that Amulet of Vigor was like a $10 card and spending that on such a niche card wasn't worth it to me, but I just realized that it is actually much cheaper, so I'll try to pick one up and see if I can find a slot

when i first built this deck, i was just going to go cray cray ramp, and it started as a landfall/amulet package. it's either cute, or crazy good. never been annoyed to draw it. worst case it gets you a free mana, best case enough usable mana for another either stonecloaker ramp, or another important creature. also helps when you have a karoo.
oh also, Tireless Tracker is great. it keeps your hand full and he gets huge if left unchecked.
This is a great idea! One of the things that I've struggled with is getting enough card advantage into the deck (GW aren't the best colors for this). Definitely gonna try and get this one in there!

That alone will almost justify running Argothian Enchantress and her sisters Verduran Enchantress and Mesa Enchantress. But I'll act like you're not convinced and elaborate on that. To further build on this theme, I've included Flickering Ward and Whip Silk. Both serve a purpose of their own, since flyers are a bit of a weakness and protection is an interesting feature when you've got Avacyn, Angel of Hope out without hexproof or you want her to be unblockable. Moreover though, both auras become a machinegun of carddraw on sorcery speed. Furthermore, Seal of Cleansing and Seal of Primordium found their way into my build. They're a little bit niche maybe, but hey: destroying an artifact / enchantment for 2 isn't bad, drawing a card on top of that is even better. The build board prescence, help with devotion, and are never ever dead cards. Plus, and this is where it gets interesting: they work fantastically with Parallax Wave, are recursive with Emeria Shepherd and keep Primal Surge going. I'd always play these in this deck before Harmonic Sliver and Soltari Visionary. Also, following this, Skybind is a very good card.
Next, ETB triggers can be exploited more. I too run Stonecloaker, but both Whitemane Lion and Fleetfoot Panther are quite good as well. They can bounce themselves, so provide a landfall trigger of their own. And get this: there once was a situation where I had an Amulet of Vigor, Aura Shards, Mirari's Wake, Primeval Bounty and Admonition Angel out, with a Fleecemane Lion in hand. Now, by tapping a plains and having enough white mana, I could find every basic land left in my library, and for each one of them I could exile one of my opponent's permanents, make a 3/3 beast token, gain 3 life, and destroy an artifact or enchantment. At instant speed. This actually happened, but there are many more opportunities like this: imagine it with Emeria Shepherd in play. Like this? Try Cloudstone Curio, which even lets you return your lands to your hand so you can keep triggering landfall cards. Plus: when someone ***s and you want to save your - say - Sigarda, Host of Herons, you could make a token with Heliod, then bounce Sigarda. There's a lot of synergy in that corner.
ETB effects is what Karametra does. Both Whitemane Lion and Fleetfoot Panther are quite good. They can bounce themselves, so provide a landfall trigger of their own multiple times. I also play Cloudstone Curio. It's a mini-engine for landfall triggers, but also lets you save your valuable creatures somtimes.
I intentionally do not use many tutor effects like T&N, Defense of the Heart or Pattern of Rebirth. I found myself constantly looking for the same stuff and got bored with that I replaced them with cards that are more synergetic with the rest of the deck.
EDIT: It's only now that I see you don't run Primal Surge. Really, find a place for it. It's so much fun and so very, very good if you can manage to minimize the number of instants / sorceries.

So far:
- Seasons Past
- Tireless Tracker
Both are CA cards which I'm really happy about!
Concerning card advantage: it's worth considering en enchantress theme. After all, many of our MVP's are enchantments - not in the least Karametra herself. Also, Heliod, God of the Sun, Nylea, God of the Harvest, Mirari's Wake, Aura Shards, Archetype of Endurance, Priviliged Position, Sterling Grove, Greater Auramancy, Eidolon of Blossoms and Pariah will make it into most builds. That's eleven cards that most of us will run.
That alone will almost justify running Argothian Enchantress and her sisters Verduran Enchantress and Mesa Enchantress. But I'll act like you're not convinced and elaborate on that. Random comment: I found Primeval Bounty better than Lurking Predators.
Random comment 2: Parallax Wave. Really, it's awesome.
Random comment 3: Mirri's Guile is missing in your list. It's like a Sensei's Divining Top or Sylvan Library in that it allows you to manipulate your next topdeck.
Comparing the build on OP with mine, the biggest differences are:
I'm about to start testing Soul of New Phyrexia and Eldrazi Monument. I like those more than the Eldrazi tbh.
That's it for now :).
