Are there any cards for this deck that you really want but just simply can't afford or justify in purchasing?
I had a think and a look around at other Green or White based decklists, as well as the top 50 thread on this forum and besides the obvious Savannah there actually isn't!
That being said my knowledge of cards beyond the $150 mark is pretty limited so if you have any that you think might do well in the deck—show me and I'll let you know whether I think it's a good idea or not
Dunno if this will fit, but your deck uses green so maybe gaea's cradle will work as well.
Oh yep, Gaea's Cradle would be auto include if I had it! It's a little too expensive for me though, I think there'd be other cards (especially in Blue) that I would buy first over it haha.
I'll add the two lands to the Notable Exceptions section
I still like the idea of Kamahl, Fist of Krosa in this deck to take down pesky lands that are giving you trouble when you wrath the board.
Sounds like Kamahl, Fist of Krosa would do a lot of work for you! You should totally include it I guess lands generally don't bother me enough in my meta to invest in him but it might be different for you. The decklist is tuned primarily towards my meta and I'm sure there are a few cards in there that don't make sense to a lot of people (but make sense to me). You should definitely adjust it to fit your needs
I was looking for inspiration for a Karametra, God of Harvests deck, and I realy liked this deck then i realized that it would sadly didnt helped me aganist most common "wraths" in my meta ( Ixidron,Hallowed Burial, Final Judgmentand alike ), nearest to conventional wraths in my meta is Living Death and even that can take care of indestructible dudes due to lack of destroying and instead exiling and putting to grave. Any hints for me ?
Have you thought about playing Lightmine Field? Might do some heavy lifting considering none of your creatures will be affected by it.
Hey guys! Super sorry for the late reply, things have been pretty hectic at work and I just haven't had time unfortunately!
loltrolel: The next thing I'm planning to do is write about these effects in the primer. If your meta is really heavy on these effects then I would say that you probably won't have fun playing this deck, but if they just run a normal amount of the effects it probably won't be that bad. In my experience "Return all creatures to hand" or "Tuck all creatures" really aren't that bad; sure they get around the indestructible but they affect you the same as everyone else (your deck just becomes a normal deck in these situations), and you can just rebuild from there. I've found Sigarda, Host of Herons really good when you're anticipating mass sacrifice like in Living Death, with all the creature tutors she's relatively consistent to have when you need it. The thing that really hoses the deck is mass exile, because once a creature has been exiled because there's no way to get it back. In these situations you can run Ghostway effects (I will make a list once I get some time to update the guide) and to just not overextend too much.
The thing you need to understand is that even though these cards do hard counter our mechanics, that doesn't necessarily mean that the game is over for you when it happens (as long as you aren't overextending at the wrong times). The deck has many win conditions and you have plenty of time to rebuild after a sweeper (it wipes every else too). I would say at least half the games I win with this deck are done just with Karametra and general damage simply because the deck is really good at playing a defensive game (all the enchantments). Hope that helps for now until I get write something more solidified
goldfiger: That's actually a really interesting card that I haven't seen until you showed me! I will put some serious consideration into it based on my meta There's a very good chance that it is simply good enough to replace one of the wrath spells. I see it as not very useful against goodstuff/fatty decks but really good against swarm/tokens and is also easily tutorable and protectable with all of our enchantment protection. The potential issues I see are that it's not very useful against a number of archetypes like combo, stax, control, goodstuff, fatties etc (ie you can't kill utility creatures with it).
SET REVIEWS
Sorry it took so long but here are the reviews for sets post JOU. I have still been playing the deck pretty consistently and am actually really happy with the way it's playing right now. I don't feel the need to modify it at all (which is rare for me cause I'm always tuning my decks), so the list is still up to date.
Khans of Tarkir See the Unwritten — 2.5/5
While triggering the ferocious is easy for us; we don't really have any deck rigging capabilities so this has a decent chance to whiff. The chance of throwing key cards into the graveyard is also really unappealing to me.
End Hostility — 4/5
Having more wrath variations and options open to a deck with 11 wraths in it is always a good thing. My playgroup doesn't run much in the way of equipment so I'm not tempted by it. But given that this only costs 5 you could easily swap it out for any of the other wraths.
Unfortunately they are the only two cards that are remotely playable in our deck from KTK. Understandable though given that this is a wedge set with no Selesnya cards in it.
Magic 2015 Nissa, Worldwaker — 3/5
Not really a card that lends itself to EDH unless you're running a land deck? Only benefit is the ramp but there are much better options in that space.
Yisan, the Wanderer Bard - 2.5/5
Cool little card that might find a good home elsewhere. Too slow for my taste in this deck.
Soul of New Phyrexia - 4/5
This card doesn't have a use in my current decklist because everything important already has indestructible. But if enough of this effect pops up and we reach a critical mass of cards like this or Dauntless Escort or Frontline Medic. We could potentially get away with running more non-industructibles and granting them it when needed.
Ajani Steadfast - 3/5
The +1 is great if you're struggling with your lifetotal as lifelink and vigilance are great defensive abilities, first strike is largely irrelevant to us. The -2 pushes Karametra to the magical 7 power, the loyalty bonus won't be relevant very much but every now and then it will bump garruk. The -7 is irrelevant to us.
Spectra Ward - 3.5/5
Great if you're struggling with spot removal. Pumps Karametra to 8 power. Could be useful in certain metas.
Mass Calcify - 1/5
We don't need the bonus from this wrath so it certainly isn't worth 7 mana.
Conspiracy Council's Judgement - 3.5/5
Card is pretty good, especially if your meta run a lot of enchantment or permanent based synergies like stax etc. Everyone on the table will probably try to make the most of you casting this card which means sometimes it'll be a 2 for 1. I think there are better options in GW for removal though so given that it's sorcery speed it doesn't quite make the cut for me.
Coercive Portal - 3-5/5
This card has no downside for us. We don't care about the wrath and drawing cards is certainly awesome. The big downside to this card is that you have to wait through all of your opponents turns before it finally triggers for the first time, so if your playground really didn't want it to trigger it would not be hard to find at least one piece of artifact removal between them. Even when it does trigger you have to wait a long time for it. This makes the card really situational in that sometimes it will be awesome and sometimes you would really wish it were just a normal wrath. My group runs a lot of artifact/enchantment hate so it's not worth it for me. Could be a great card though.
SET REVIEWS Conspiracy Council's Judgement - 2/5
Fun card, not reliable. Given that it exiles it'll probably backfire most the time and end up exiling one of your own.
I'm interested in trying your deck out sometime, but I thought I would point out you can't have your own stuff exiled with this. Each opponent chooses a nonland permanent you don't control.
Hey this deck looks great! I've got copies of a lot of the money cards and have been racking my brain for what to do with them. I've been meaning to make a god deck for a while and just had a few quick questions.
No enchantresses? I was scouring the primer for a reason why these were excluded but couldn't seem to find any
Arcane Lighthouse is the worst thing ever. Suggestions on how to beat it?
Be a lemming hunter. Don't be a lemming. Really, all you had to do was explain to him the popularity metric, not give him the lemming hunter manifesto...
Thunderhoof Baloth from the new green commander deck seems like a great addition
Hey man thanks for the suggestion. The problem is that because there are 11 wraths in this deck (and it's important to use them); that it's crucial for non ETB creatures to be indestructible. The Baloths would have a hard time surviving in this deck

Yeah I tried enchantresses but I just didn't like them. There's one enchantress in there already Eidolon of Blossoms. The reason she made the cut for me was because she was 1. An enchantment herself and 2. She cantrips. I just found normal enchantresses to be low impact, slow and unnecessary for the deck.
Hey dude, thanks for the suggestions. What is the function for Krosan Verge that you see for this deck? I personally hate ETB lands unless they are AMAZING. Am I missing something?
Also, I basically never have color-fixing issues so Riftstone is largely unnecessary
I know that this deck hasn't been edited in a little while but I just stumbled upon it as I'm working on something similar. One card that I didn't see anyone talk about or mentioned in your list of exclusions was Crucible of Worlds. With Knight and all the other sac/fetch lands it seems like it could be super useful! Thoughts??? Oh, did you ever find room for Stonecloaker?

To answer your questions, the deck now has Stonecloaker! He's way too awesome here to not be in there so there you go :). As for Crucible of Worlds, I totally agree that the interactions in this deck would be amazing - but unfortunately not needed. This deck really only needs ramp up to 5 mana; once you have 5 mana your manabase will explode due to Karametra and you'll have more mana than you really need so there's no point devoting any more effort into it at that point.
Please note that these changes have not yet been reflected in the primer due to MTGSalvation temporarily disabling non-latin unicode characters in order to control Korean spammers. I have requested to be added to the exception list and will update the list with these changes as soon as this restriction has been lifted.
Explanation:Condemn and Oblation removed due to recent Commander rules update stating that creatures that are tucked can now be put in the command zone. Condemn is situational and Oblation has a huge downside so they no longer make the cut after these changes. Myojin of Cleansing Fire stayed in the deck for as long as it did purely out of flavor/theme; this card is useless when cheated in and expensive/not worth it when hard casted, just not useful enough to remain in the deck.
Angel of Serenity and Duplicant: Very often I would be looking through my deck after a Defense of the Heart trigger or after casting any other creature tutor and be in need of creature removal. The deck didn't have any of it! How stupid of me not to include creature based removal when the deck is so heavy with tutors and cheats. Serenity is amazing (3 target creatures, really?) especially with all the protection that the deck offers her and both her and Duplicant have exile effects; meaning we can deal with those pesky creatures that don't die to our wraths this way. As an added bonus, if you can High Market or convince another player to kill your Serenity in response to her trigger, the 3 exiled creatures will be exiled forever!
I've been looking for a space for Stonecloaker for the LONGEST time, and there's finally space! This guy is an all star in this deck. Ramps us, triggers Karametra, targeted graveyard hate, and saves our dudes from being tucked, stolen or exiled.

I would almost always play Garruk over this; if your group has a lot aggro decks and you are struggling with your life total this might be better.

I really don't know how to judge this card... The -X is really pretty ordinary so I would say that you would use his mediocre +2 a couple of times and try to ult with him. Very slow though, 8 mana > +2 > +2 > ult. The ult would be pretty fking spectacular in this deck though. I honestly think Genesis Wave is just better than this though.

We recently added Angel of Serenity and Duplicant to the deck so it's unlikely you'll need this guy. Nevertheless if you need removal on a body (relatively rare in GW), he is here for you!
Shaman of the Forgotten Ways — 3.5
The ramp is solid on a 3cmc body (and we have a lot of creature spells). 8 power worth of creatures and 11 cost activated ability are a piece of cake for us mid-late game. We also have a decent amount of flyers and tramplers so it might make it pretty easy to win the game with his ability. Somberwald Sage wasn't that far from making it into the deck and this guy is just a better version of him. The only real problem with him is that if you play him early he's unlikely to survive until you can pay for his ability. And if you cast him late, we don't really have any haste enablers so he'll probably die before you can activate it. Strange card for us so I'm not sure.
Hey! Beautiful primer and awesome layout! I loved reading through it. Do you have any tips on players who want to go with the more enchantress route with Karametra?
Hey! Beautiful primer and awesome layout! I loved reading through it. Do you have any tips on players who want to go with the more enchantress route with Karametra?
Thanks rhakee
First of all I would have a read of this Sigarda Primer as it runs an enchantress strategy; I think it's mainly based around going aura voltron with Sigarda (which Sigarda is probably a better suited for than Karametra), but it might still give you some ideas and let you look at the card pool.
You would then need to decide what your win con(s) are going to be since enchantress is more of an enabler than a strategy in and of itself. Voltron is definitely possible, especially if your group is low on white removal. Protecting Karametra will be easy, making her big will be easy, so the main challenge will be to give her evasion of some sort: Rancor, Nylea, God of the Hunt, Ajani, Caller of the Pride, Elspeth, Knight Errant, Abzhan Falconer etc. Keeping her active so that the aura's don't fall off might be a challenge as well actually.
Lastly, you also have some kind of landfall package or strategy open to you since Karametra is pretty much asking for it. I'm not too familiar with the landfall cardbase but I imagine it would probably be another overrun-esque strategy but a little more mid-range with Emeria and Baloths? Perhaps anthem cards like Collective Blessings start to become really relevant then.
Whichever route you decide to go, there will definitely be cards and packages in my list that can fit so that might also be a great starting point. There were a lot of really nice potential synergies that I had to turn down because my list is extremely strict with cards in that our bombs either have to be indestructible or provide immediate value.
I like the inclusion of Stoncloaker and Angel of Serenity
Did you consider Luminate Primordial instead of Duplicant? It only costs one more mana but will often be a better body, add devotion and its ETB is just so much more powerfull in a multiplayer setting.
I had a think and a look around at other Green or White based decklists, as well as the top 50 thread on this forum and besides the obvious Savannah there actually isn't!

If you're having problems with Arcane Lighthouse I would suggest by far the best way to tackle it in this deck is to run land destruction. Buried Ruin is FANTASTIC in this deck as you always end up with excess land/mana. Searching for them in GW is also extremely easy as you have cards like Knight of the Reliquary (which is also easy to tutor for in this deck), Weathered Wayfarer, Expedition Map, Reap and Sow or Sylvan Scrying
Hope that helps

The second strategy I can think of is building up to some sort of overrun win. Thanks to Theros block we have access to a lot of nice enchantment creatures Courser of Kruphix, Aegis of the Gods, Eidolon of Countless Battles, the gods, all the bestow creatures etc. And thanks to green we have a lot of mad token generators Avenger of Zendikar, Liege of the Tangle, Rampaging Baloths, Emeria Angel etc. You also have nice enchantment themed generators like Sigil of the Empty Throne. I can see a few routes to victory that way. Also, if you're casting a lot of weenies it would mean that Karametra will be ramping you like crazy, which opens up cards like Genesis Wave and Creeping Renaissance to be really good.
Hope that helps!
Did you consider Luminate Primordial instead of Duplicant? It only costs one more mana but will often be a better body, add devotion and its ETB is just so much more powerfull in a multiplayer setting.
