Little is known about the bizarre entity that crawls the world of Muraganda. Whether it's a natural process or a malevolent force, the Mimeoplasm never fails to command respect.
Hi everyone. I've been playing Magic since Innistrad, and I consider myself a skilled player and competent deckbuilder. This is my rendition of a The Mimeoplasm list which focuses on Reanimate effects. As far as I can tell, this could be one of the best reanimator decks in the format. I am still putting this deck together, so any suggestions are welcome!
I'm currently in the process of making my own Mimeoplasm deck and as such I have a few questions.
1. Game plan if void/rest in peace/sun and moon/relic/mass grave hate hits the battle field or even Graf Cage?
2. Do you have any cool interactions in your deck that may be unique or any combos?
3. I see that for a hard reanimatior deck, you're skimping on the reanimation spells. Is there a reason for not running other reanimation spells?
4. What meta do you play in?
-edit-
Didn't notice the part about still putting the deck together >_<
I like the deck but only two reanimation cards seem way to low.
I'm a fan of reanimator plasm over standard plasm so my opinion may be off but I feel like that's much stronger than the skittles/lord route.

Hey guys so I've actually moved on from commander on to 60 card decks so I don't have any commander decks.
Anyway I've started my own gameplay channel in which I play games (Magic also)

1. Tutor and blow it up
2. Hermit Druid -> Mimeoplasm -> Skittles + Lord of Extinction, or Necrotic Ooze is fun to grab.
3. Mimeoplasm is a reanimation spell! There's lots of just dumping stuff into the grave, so I try not to rely on just reanimation spells. Mimeoplasm is one way, but things like Dread Return, Genesis, Life from the Loam, and other things I can use from the grave are best.
4. Pretty cutthroat for the most part. Money isn't an issue, I try to build as competitive as possible.
I love Necropotence, but it is screwing with a couple other cards that you run. Either choose to run it and drop discard effects (SotF, Frantic Search, etc.) or drop it. Trust me, it will become an issue.
Also you seem low on counters. Why not Swan Song or Force of will?

Since you're running hermit druid, why not just go deep on the combo and run zero basics?
Also how has Oath of Druids worked? you have a decent creature base, and a lot of creatures that are not worth Oath'ing into, so it seems rather awkward.
Oath and Necro seem odd. Perhaps a card like Terastodon would work to kill permanents and give a reactive angle (Woodfall Primus works as well).

I second the thought on the reanimaton effects. Also is tezz worth it with such a low count of artifacts, or is he purely there for ramp?
I'll probably add at least one reanimation effect. But yes, Tezz is mostly there to bring out Crucible and artifact ramp and then after that just untap them.

Yeah, I was kind of thinking about it in the wrong way, Necro will be getting cut.
Thanks again for the feature! Top is good, Farseek is okay though I don't need too much more ramp, I Paris very aggressively. Some removal in some form will be added, Maelstrom and Putrify being the most likely. Lab Maniac for sure!

I've considered going full out on Hermit Druid. It is a bit glass cannon in multi-player, and it would otherwise water down the deck so for now I've elected against it. Oath is interesting, I put it in mostly for the mill, and the creature as an added bonus, but I suppose I also have to weigh giving that bonus to my opponents. Will definitely reconsider that card.
Another card I've had success with in these types of builds is Insidious Dreams. It discards fatties to tutor up reanimation spells and you can also set up combos by putting them on top with a draw spell above them (like Windfall).
