So Thassa is my favorite god. She doesn't seem too threatening and I like how she can promote control or aggro. I like how she synergies with her bident and attacking. I think this is a different direction to take mono blue and I'm excited to build it. This is a really rough draft and I would love any suggestions you guys might have.
If I run all these spells and 37 lands that leaves about 6 slots for more spells. Also, I just want to say that I'm not married to any of these cards. Im totally okay with cutting anything that is pure goodstuff and high in curve.
Oh, control magic, treachery, and the like would be solid, too. Take control of people's creatures *and* gain two devotion to blue. Future Sight would be nice as well.
Would you get enough usage out of Rings of Brighthearth? What's your land base look like (fetches?)?
Yeah it will probably include some fetches. Probably Academy Ruins and stuff like that too. Are there any cool lands for a deck like this? Maybe Rouge's Passage if Thassa is tucked.

I like those ideas. I wanted a few enchantments to go with the general.
I'm not sure I want to run Training Grounds and Dizzy Spell. TG seems like it would be more useful if I had more activated abilities but I think that I've only got 2 at the moment.
The deck looks really solid because of all the "When deals combat damage". Because it's important that thoses creatures deals combat damage without being blocked, I would run cards like Whispersilk Cloak, Rogue's Passage, Writ of Passage (Very good common with the creature's power of your deck) Veil of Secrecy (If you find other good arcane cards) Zhuge Jin, Wu Strategist, Protective Bubble, Tawnos's Wand, Aetherling, Deep-Sea KrakenMaster of Waves (With the devotion playstyle he could fit in. Also if you want to include the merflok creature type to make it more tribal-like, you could play a bunch of nice and powerful morfolks).
I like the merfolk tribal idea. It would probably require a completely different list but it would be fun to see which version is better. Rogue's Passage will find its way into the list I'm sure. A lot of other great suggestions Jolote.
Kukemssa Pirates is an amazing suggestion. It comes down after Thassa and it is totally on theme. That card is going in the list. I don't know how I forgot Tandem Lookout. Thanks for the awesome stuff man. There will be some equipment for sure.
Seahorse jokes would totally make him worth it lol. I did actually consider him when I was building the deck. I don't know if he will make the final cut though.
I pulled a Thassa today and I will probably be tinkering with the deck soon. It does not have to be sea creatures, I just thought it was a fun title.
I don't like Lone Revenant because it has to be the only creature in play and Thassa is a creature. Frost Titan and Steel Hellkite are being considered though.
I built a Thassa deck out after taking apart Talrand because he wasn't all that fun and people learned to kill/tuck him rather quickly and playing him late game is rather underwhelming. I took out a lot of the counters, cantrips and bonce spells to add in enchantments and big dumb beaters called it a deck.
Only played a hand full of games with Thassa so far but it has certainly been pretty fun. People usually don't care about her much as her abilities flies under the radar as being bad for EDH. (That is until a 5/5 blockable start hitting their precious planeswalkers). Scrying once every turn is actually pretty good at hand selection and kept me from mana flooding on multiple occasions or vice versa finding that land I needed.
Dismiss into Dreams has been a real break out card for me as a way to deal with voltron generals, indestructible/regenerate creatures and generally turning all my harmless trigger in to death bringing nemesis.
Curse of the Swine and Swan Song are fun and kinda in fits with Pongify and Rapid Hybridzation in the deck. Sure here have a bunch of dudes, not like you can block with them anyways.
I'm running Tidespout Tyrant as a beater/devotion/alternate wincondition by bouncing lands.
Proteus Staff is a reminisce card of Talrand which I used to cheat in big creature by tucking tokens, here it still provide answers to stuff that mono blue typical don't have. Also it turns our thieving magpies in to big dudes sometimes.
Ixidron as a blue board wipe and to take care of problematic generals and once again provide answers blue generally don't have. Also interacts interestingly with Thassa as the ability resolves before ETB so it doesn't count towards devotion and keeping Thassa safe most of the time.
Compare to your list I run a rather low creature count, my idea is to keep devotion count low to keep Thassa safe from creature exile until I need her as a beater or blocker for my planeswalkers.
All of those suggestions are really great. I got a preliminary build going and theres still plenty of room and I like all of those cards. I don't have a lot of snow covered islands, I wish I did. Thanks again though. I will be posting a finished deck soon.

What are you using to trigger the sac effect on Dismiss? It was one of the cards I was considering until I realized Thassa's ability can only be used on creature you control. The mana cost on Dismiss is a lot, I can't see it being worth it without a way to abuse it.

A lot of the other player at the table will use Dimiss into dreams to kill creatures just because they can. Since it doesn't affect your creature if you can keep the enchantment around it is almost always guaranteed upsides.
Alright guys. I know that its been a long time but I finished the deck and updated the main post with the list. There are a couple cards missing because for some reason I cannot seem to find them. Teferi and Thada Adel are the ones that I'm most missing. Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions or comments.
I was testing a bit Thassa these days, and I found out that True-Name Nemesis is very good in Multiplayer aswell. All the other opponents won't remove it because for them is just a 3/1, and the one targeted by it live his worst nightmare. Also, it gives 2 devotions to Thassa, which is nice.

I think thats a great idea. It seems really good with any of the equips I'm running. I only own one copy of True Name and its currently in my french deck. But if they ban Derevi it will have a home here. This is a paper list after all, which is why I'm missing some cards that really need to be in there.
I played the first game with the deck tonight. It went pretty well and I was able to do some pretty good work. Strata Scythe was pretty amazing and recurring it with Academy Ruins was pretty much the late game plan for the whole night.
The only problem I had was with low devotion. I wasn't able to keep anything on the board as there were a ton of wrath effects from a Oloro and Prossh player. Therefor I found myself without a creature to swing with a lot of the time. Do you guys think that Lightning Greaves would be a worthy addition? Or does the low creature count make Swiftfoot Boots better?
I removed High Market for Island because I needed a High Market in another deck and this deck doesn't really need to sac its creatures too often. I might find that I need a sac outlet in the future, but right now my meta doesn't run too much tuck.
Caged Sun is one of those cards. It seems really amazing in your deck until its rotting in your hand or getting killed for 1-3 mana. Also it doesn't add anything to devotion which is a theme I'm trying to push.
Muddle the Mixture is a meh counter. I removed it for more blue permanents.
Neurok Commando has shroud so I cant equip it with my artifacts. I figured that it any card could be better then it. Most games come down to voltron or unblockable and it doesn't work with either of those.
So with this update Im removing some off the small pokey combat trigger creatures and adding smore devotion and wizards. Wizards are just good and devotion should be amazing with Master of Waves. Him with clones already won me one game so.. Eventually I will get my hands on a Nykthos and that will help the theme as well.
Its on my 'get' list. This deck represents a paper build and I cannot seem to find a Thada Adel for trade in the local shop. I should get my hands on one soon.

Another great suggestion, thanks mayne. He goes well with all the creatures I will probably run.
Does anyone think I should run more instants and such? Counters and blue awesome sauce cards like Turnabout?

Maybe you want Training Grounds and Dizzy Spell (to dig up TG or your spot removals)?
