Massacre Wurm - The -2 life every time something dies is nice when we're packing deathtouch, but regularly, it's not worth it unless you can follow up with a sweeper. My playgroup has a lot of tokens, so I'm not really sad to see him come up. Meta dependent, but a thing to keep in mind.
Harvester of Souls I have never seen him yet. He'll probably come out once my Wurmcoil gets back to me.
Smokestack - Probably will come out. The sac is nice but... eh.
Shimmer Myr - Okay, I love this little guy. A lot. He does work. Flash out an executioner's capsule and gun guys down? Or just want to gun something down? For one extra black mana without salvaging station, you can. The little guy does work. And the surprises are nice. Personally, I love the little guy and wouldn't mind seeing more of him.
As for the baubles, I think I'll keep them in. Free draw off of Recycle is nice. The delayed draw is a bit annoying, but the free more than makes up for it. And you do get some good information.
I actually went off in a four player game. So many baubles. So much mana. Memory Jar is a champ in here. Play what you want, leave any artifacts you don't in the graveyard, trigger psychosis crawler and bonus points if you have Recycle out.
This deck is really a blast to play and I don't think it's close to being done. Darcykun, thanks for pointing this list out. Can't wait to see what all of you come up with.
The aim of the deck is survive until late game and win by pure attrition. If my wurmcoil keeps coming back it will kill you eventually.
Maybe not 100% happy. I keep trying to find space for Curse of Death's Hold.. to trigger the forbidden orichid deaths so i can always be recuring. Also thinking about Hush as I have no enchantments in the deck. Perhaps if my friend rebuilds his Zur the enchanter deck although I guess Graze of granite does the job. Destroying things is not a problem!

I'm a fan of the wurm as a solid meta choice, a lot of my play group plays Avenger of Zendikar and what a bomb that could be against them. Shimmer Myr seems really good but I think it ends up changing the way the deck is played kinda like Darcykun said, it would make me want to run maybe more mana artifacts and either Unwinding Clock or Seedborn Muse. I do totally agree with you on how fun this deck is to play, that is a big part of how excited I am to play and tune it.

Yeah, yours definitely seems a lot more grindy than mine. I mean, all the Glissa decks seem to be, but yours seems in for the long haul. How does having so many more non artifact creatures work out for you? I've found the artifact creatures do the most work, and when you're recurring something minor, like Burnished Hart or one of the replicas, people don't mind too much, even while it puts you ahead.

Hm... true. Running those would make it nicer and give us the mana. I just enjoyed getting my Wayfarer's Bauble back, being able to cast it, and getting it back and cast it again as a guy decided to sack things. Nice advantage we wouldn't have otherwise.
And Sivartus, if you don't mind me asking, where in NC are you playing?
The trick with my deck is that I need a critical mass of "this creature will win the game if you don't kill it" Creatures.
Because it gets to a certain point in the game where my hand is just these creatures... I play them one by one and they have to boardwipe our counter each of them.
There isn't enough "this will win the game on its own" artifact creatures.
Geth is probably the weakest... but he attacks from a different angle incase I need to. recurring sakura tribal eldar all day is a blast though.
I really don't like "I have all the mana in the world muwhahahahaah do something huge with it" thats just not my play style. Although I kill people a lot with caterhoof (it dosen't need much). I prefer I have 6 mana... here answer this... then this... then this.
I mean combo has increasingly becoming my thing but I have seen what our group does to a combo EDH deck and it wasn't pretty. It gets hated out so very fast and you don't get to enjoy the game. Control meta.
I have a deachtouch thing going on with my thornbite staff and viridian longbow. So I wanted as many deathtouch creatures as I could.
Finally my spell base removal might seem a little odd, but I have to have exile removal to deal with pesky indestructable that normally does a number on me.

Besides, I've found from a darksteel plated glissa and o-stone on the field, people don't like you clearing the board each turn. They kind of come after you like crazy.
Off-topic: did you format that first post manually, or did you use some kind of application? Seems like a lot of patience if it was manual, but it paid off!

I'm thinking I'd really like the Wurm if I was packing Birthing Pod, as he's a really great toolbox piece. I don't feel like tokens are a big enough problem that we need to pack more hate against them. Between artifact and sorcery board wipes we have a lot, plus I think Engineered Explosives or Ratchet Bomb make really good token answers that we can recur.
That being said, it's the only board wipe that says, "Also, I kill you." So that's something to keep in mind. I'm also going to keep Shimmer Myr in the back of my mind when brewing alternate lists for this deck. I'm looking at Pod.dec and Stax first, but a "Rattlesnake HARDER" version (or, as Siv pointed out, one that can take advantage of Unwinding Clock) would like it. Or a combo version... play Karn, but with Glissa to protect the pieces. Hmm...

Two cards that really caught my interest - Strionic Resonator and Vraska the Unseen. Resonator can copy Glissa's ability, but I'm wondering what other abilities you get a lot of mileage out of.
Vraska, oddly, seems like a very viable win-con in here. Her +1 ensures we get artifacts back if she happens to get targeted, a Vindicate is a good panic button, and the Assassin tokens... well, we do tend to keep the board clear, don't we? Don't tell me Assassin token + Darksteel Plate + Oblivion Stone wouldn't be a hilarious way to win.

I agree with others, he's good if you have him, but I'm not about to go hunting for one. Glissa with a Plate herself is almost as good (not so much with Disk, but with O-Stone). He really combos with those two... and most of our artifacts, we don't need to keep around.
Off-topic: did you format that first post manually, or did you use some kind of application? Seems like a lot of patience if it was manual, but it paid off!
I can't take credit for the formatting. I lifted the forum coding from some of the other great primers around here. I'm glad it looks good, though!
You guys have convinced me to add Darksteel Plate and Psychosis Crawler to the deck. I just need to find cuts... and maybe play them a bit in paper first.
I'm also going to put together a few alternate decklists to put in the OP. It'd be nice to have some help testing them... as I'm not about to put together a bunch of different Glissa decks in paper, I'll probably be using 'trice or something similar. But my question is... if you were building a version that focused on Birthing Pod / Tortured Existence, what would be auto-includes? Exchange the baubles for artifact creature targets.
I'll try and test out the shimmer version. Few more mana rocks, cut things like the wurm and smokestack (seriously, the more I see that card the less I like it in the egg version). I'll need a bit of help on the pieces as I don't want to go pure combo and I have the tendency to think in combo pieces. But I'm more than happy to help with testing.
Have you considered Grim Feast? It doesn't necessarily synergize with anything you're doing, but I've found it wildly swings games in my favor when a Wrath nets me 50+ life.

I've seen it suggested before(not in this this tread but other Glissa threads) and I find that it lends it's self better to staxx or maybe even dredge strategy decks as this deck has the ability O-stone the table several times a game.
Have you considered Grim Feast? It doesn't necessarily synergize with anything you're doing, but I've found it wildly swings games in my favor when a Wrath nets me 50+ life.
It entirely depends on how much you feel that you need lifegain. Even if I'm rocking Necro, Arena, and Underworld Connections, I usually feel that I can win before I bleed myself out.
That being said, with the introduction of Nekusar and Purphoros to people's metas, lifegain is probably a little more relevant.
A few quality-of-life improvements to the removal suite. I also felt that Grisly Salvage, while cool, wasn't pulling its weight (I really want to add enchantments or sorceries to my hand... not creatures). Rise of the Dark Realms didn't get a lot of testing (I hardly ever drew it), but I also didn't see a lot of scenarios where it would have been amazing. Sure, if my opponents are Animar and Mayael, I'd love it. But just as often they're Bruna and Nekusar. Besides, between Scapeshift -> Bog tech and recurring Nihil Spellbomb, I tend to keep graveyards on the empty side. I fear my opponent's drawing reanimation more than I hope to draw Rise.
Plate and Crawler were inclusions that just seemed obvious after discussion.
Looking ahead, I'm thinking of getting a copy of Deglamer for the deck, just to keep up the density of non-creature answers and also in anticipation of 10 more indestructible enchantment Commanders. Might find room for the functional reprint as well, but I like kickin' it old school. Still trying to find a copy of Vraska to test.
The new spell bombs.. have a trigger when they go to the grave like nihil spellbomb.. which means you can draw twice.
Since my deck is all about grinding value.. if you have the mana free you just use it on any trigger.
The resonator is always going to find something to double.
Varska is mostly vindicate for me.. or a reverse lux cannon.. destory something then reload. Versitile spot removal is something I want and my meta knows is very important. so she tends to die fast and I don't have counterspells to protect her. But I already got my vaule so it is two for oneing someone.
Avatar of woe combo's with thornbite staff, I'd not want to remove it... Reaper is a huge flyier... I guess, rune scared is better.. but I like the repeatable removal reaper is. Also it was part of the standard pod deck I used to have that this deck evolved from.
I love your decklist, and the OP looks great. I have a couple of suggestions from my own experience with Glissa:
-Karn is great. Animate your own artifacts and smash face, or better, make opposing creatures drop their SoFI, kill their artifact "creature" and get a Glissa trigger
-my favorite trick with Karn: animate Eldrazi Monument when someone wants to break it
-speaking of which, Eldrazi Monument is great, but I don't think you have enough fodder to support it
-Engineered Explosives is good: there is a lot of stuff you want to kill with CMC 2 or less. If you recur it with Salvaging Station you can still kill tokens with it. I run Forbidden Orchard just to make sure they have tokens to kill
-Codex Shredder is CMC=1. This card really shines!
-Arcbound Ravager is sweet, especially when you have something like Mindless Automaton around as well. A good target for Blade of the Bloodchief, and it's a nice outlet for your eggs
In case you ever want to rebuild the deck, there's an option to go "big mana" with Unwinding Clock.
I need two cuts... one for Nim deathmantle (to complete the combo with the altar)... and for Dictate of Erebos any ideas.. its like chosing which is your least favourite child D: :(.
I also obtained an eternal witness but I am thinking that will go into a different EDH deck that has some blink and less built in recursion.
I am looking at Geth, lord of the vault and horizon spellbomb as cuts. it just takes too much mana to cycle the spellbomb and I really don't seem to draw and never tutor Geth. I have some cards there for sentimental reasons but I don't really have a Geth story.. its just that he is a mana sink.
I cut Sever the bloodline for the dictate, Sever was for the indestructible creatures but its action against tokens is also good. so I suspect I am going to miss it sometimes then again I can cast gaze of granite for less mana and more effect.
I want Pharika to be good, but I just think it's too much work for very little benefit. Instant speed Deathtouch blockers are awesome, but you need a high creature count.
Revoker was originally there to stop sol ring.. I have one of my own now... it can go, I also have no one drops anymore to tutor it with birthing pod and I managed to stop people using generals with activated abilities because of its existence. It was a bit out of date. Plus I'd rather just blow the board every few turns.
I am afraid I'll miss Sever... Geth is great in EDH but I rarely get enough mana to abuse him.
I am considering perilous Myr.. since I can kill X/2s forever with ashnods altar with it.. but cuts are hard.
In the games I played Curse of death's hold was phenomenal but mostly because I wreaked Prosh, skyraider of Kher with it. first game I had it with forbidden orchard and the second with Pharika for all the recursion I wanted. I easily got Pharika as a creature and used it to wear down opponents. Dictate came down a little too late in the game (It was down to 1v1 from a 5 man game) but it did kill one creature under boots and turn pharika back into a creature. I ended up winning.. But only because my opponent didn't quite play to his outs.. used kicked sadistic sacrament on my spells and not my lands.. he drew mind grind the turn before I killed him but it wasn't enough.
Just want to say, I played a game with a near exact version of the OPs updated list (taking out a few cards for the new Strive cards that kill enchantments and exile creatures+auras). It was an absolute blast. The deck played exactly how you describe as I gained incremental advantages through board wipes. I think I used my O-Stone 4 times (at least?). I had the benefit of giving Glissa indestructibility which obviously lets the deck pilot on Easy Mode.
My favorite part, however, was that I really did control the pace of the game. When a player pulled ahead, either I had the answer, or I enabled another player to answer the threat. No one wanted to attack me (in large part due to my commander), but also because I cut the leader down to size, but usually through others. It's hard to explain, so I'll give you an example.
Keranos (a very unwelcome sight in most games as Glissa I would imagine) had Jace and Chandra on an empty board with a full grip. I had my O-Stone, but I was well short of the requisite mana, so I played out Glissa and equipped her. My mono-black opponent had out his Cabal Coffers, so I played my Urborg. The Keranos player screams at me, "You're enabling him, etc." to which I responded, "Hey, you're the archenemy here." The mono-black player emptied his hand and took out the planeswalkers... which prompted the Keranos player to use his own O-Stone leaving my indestructible Glissa and the mono-black player's Erebos as the only thing on the field. I then promptly played out Strip Mine and destroyed the mono-black player's Coffers. The two of them never regained board position (our 4th player was a Doran deck that was alternating between durdling and taking huge chunks out of the other player's life totals) and my slow and steady card advantage won out.
I'd add to the strength of this deck is the fact that you never look too threatening while never looking vulnerable. It really walks that fine line in Commander between 'Attack him, he's too strong' and 'Kill him, he's weak enough.' Kudos on Glissa eggs, my weapon of choice for the next while.

Lots of interesting things in there. As soon as I saw how many creatures you were using, I scrolled right down, and yup, Pod. I expect you'd get some mileage out of Tortured Existence. I might cut Yavimaya Elder, Vampire Nighthawk, Avatar of Woe, and Reaper of the Abyss, maybe for some more Pod-friendly ETB creatures.

Draft my Peasant Cube.
These are just what popped into my head, I'm sure there is some other fun stuff out there to find.

I've seen it suggested before(not in this this tread but other Glissa threads) and I find that it lends it's self better to staxx or maybe even dredge strategy decks as this deck has the ability O-stone the table several times a game.
Just wanna preface this next part by saying, I in no way think this is a good idea but, if it happened would be pretty nuts.
Birthing Pod+Dross Scorpion = Myr Moonvessel->Epochrasite/Myr Retriever -> Cathodion -> Solemn Simulacrum -> Karn, Silver Golem/Precursor Golem -> Workhorse -> Myr Battlesphere/Platinum Angel . . . you get the idea . . .
Also, minor deck edits today:
OUT:
1 Murder
1 Tragic Slip
1 Rise of the Dark Realms
IN:
1 Hero's Downfall
1 Maelstrom Pulse
1 Psychosis Crawler
Draft my Peasant Cube.

Peasant cube: Cards I own
-Karn is great.

I cut Sever the bloodline for the dictate, Sever was for the indestructible creatures but its action against tokens is also good. so I suspect I am going to miss it sometimes then again I can cast gaze of granite for less mana and more effect.

here we go this is my current deck I had a couple of games yesterday.
In
Pharika, god of affliction
Curse of death's hold
Dictate of erabos
Nim Deathmantle
Out
Geth, lord of the vault
Horizon spellbomb
Phyrexian revoker
Sever the bloodline
