I use Planar Bridge all the time. I thought I'd miss Planar Portal (did a direct swap) but with the billions of mana we have available it's great to be able to tutor things like Null Brooch in response to a Merciless Eviction.
Has anyone play tested planar bridge in their current build. I have not but would like to hear if it is working out, I feel it has promise.
I have enjoyed Planar Bridge so far. I play great distortion which is a little different but the one time I saw it was a situation where Unwinding Clock and mana stones were in play and it was tutored for with Inventors' Fair. Given how strong of an effect I usually have with Ugin though I think putting Ugin in play is honestly like all the incentive I need to run it.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
I would love to compare lists with everybody, to see what everyone is running. I know that most lists will not widely differ. Any pet cards anyone has that they want to suggest, I'm actually having a lot of fun with ward of bones at the moment. Here is my list http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/kozilek-the-salt-king/

I think your eldrazi count might be a little high. With so much consistency in having an eldrazi as the commander I dont know how many more you need. I play Great Distortion so getting other eldrazi stuck in hand can slow my hand down so I am a little more stingy on it but I also dont know how many you would really need in general.
I am also not very fond of Doubling Cube because its more of a winmore ramp stone than something that contributes to you getting up in mana itself quickly. For similar reasons I cut Blinkmoth Urn more recently because it was slow and benefited my opponents first and it needed a board full of artifacts to be good. Generally if I have a board full of artifacts that I am keeping I think I am doing ok. I have been on the fence on Unwinding Clock recently for sort of similar reasons as while I like it if I am doing well and or I have things I can activate multiple times I feel like the setup to make it good is not that often assembled and then its just kind of winmore.
My list is in my sig. As for pet cards... Ratchet Bomb has been doing well for me from the perspective that it can sweep tokens when I want it to and occasionally with some of the untap effects it can scale higher as decent removal.
I can agree with the to high of a finisher count. sadly newzilek is underperforming in my build (in his own build its insane) but if I have 10 open manna and newzilek in hand I'd rather cast the butcher every time. So he may be cut for maybe another stax effect or just another rock.
my meta is mostly graveyard shenanigans and green blue etb abuse which is why the urn is still in the deck.
I have games where I feel unwinding clock can do nothing and then some games where it untaps my tapped mana vault or grim monolith or lets me play cards with the mana from an archive and dreamstone hadron and then sac to draw cards on my opponents turn, all pretty minimal but to me still worth the slot in the 99.

Add Scrabbling Claws and Phyrexian Furnace. I have been running both along side Relic of Progenitus for a while now and their opportunity cost is relatively low if your opponents are not playing graveyard based they can cycle fairly easily but its a nice cheap filter card occasionally too. If you can pair it with something like Rings of Brighthearth you can actually use them as some draw too.

recently had the time to play a lot of games and had the ability to test out some maybe includes such as planar bridge, ratchet bomb, phyrexian furnace, and scrabbling claws.
and I have to say that planar bridge won me 5 out of the 6 games I saw it, tutoring for ugin to mass remove the board or tutoring for rings of brighthearth , or just putting into play ulamog. As such I have cut ring of three wishes for planar bridge.
ratchet bomb has proven itself to me to be a blast to play with especially when it can destroy relevant 1 drops early in the game and I'm definitely including it as such I have removed oblivion sower.
scrabbling claws and phyrexian furnace only showed up in a couple of games but the cycling effect is definitely better then I expected
I'm more excited about these, Relic of Progenitus with targeted removal and a graveyard wipe on a land? Yes please! There's been a significant increase in the amount of graveyard shenanigans in my meta as of late.

Was just about to say the same... There's a buttload of decks that just got nifty tools
I was thinking i could need some feedback and maybe spark this thread once again ^^
Been tinkering a bit with my list but i had to let my Mana Crypt go
I switched it for Palladium Myr, but im thinking that maybe i should get a Mind Stone instead?
Either way, i recently got a foiled Ashnod's Altar that i need to make room for, what do you think i should
take out for it?
And general thoughts about the list would be helpful!
OBS! Tabernacle is there just to test it out.
Oh and a Reminder: I play Kozilek 2.0 , Kozilek, the Great Distortion (i do recommend the new one, its so much fun countering other peoples spells. you truly feel like a God.)

Personally, from that list, the cuts I'd consider are:
1) Blinkmoth Urn: Expensive at 5 mana, feels a bit win-more, benefits opponents. Relying on Blinkmoth Well for this seems unreliable at best
2) Doubling Cube: Also feels win-more, although turning 8 mana into 10 is usually the most relevant use, I might re-add this one to my deck at a later date.
2) Tangle Wire/Winter Orb: I dropped the stax pieces from my build as I found they made for boring games. Especially when you're countering lots of things as is.
3) Trading Post: I realise this is arguably better with new Kozilek, allowing you to use anything in your graveyard as a counter, I'm just trying my build without it at the moment and found I haven't missed it much, as it's usually rather slow.
4) Blightsteel Colossus: Personal Preference. I cut this for new Emrakul to keep the mana curve in check, I find it to be a little un fun as it usually takes out one person making them sit and wait for another game.
5) Myr Turbine: I feel this needs a little more token synergy (or at least Skullclamp) to be good in a build like this.
I see you've included Scroll Rack in your list, which I find amazing in this build, alongside Memory Jar for those times you really need to counter something (Austere Command, Merciless Eviction, Vandalblast, Bane of Progress).

1. You're correct about this one. I happen to have a foil one so i kept using it, plus i kinda like the political aspects it could sometimes have. And yes, i have too few ways to tap/untap it at will.
2. Yeah, i feel you about this one, but its usually working pretty great overall. Its a cheaper artifact as well, bringing down the curve is a good thing.
3. Tangle Wire / Winter Orb: This is where i feel like we're not sharing the same outlook on stax pieces. I love this since we got alot of greenbased decks and or black based ones. Tangle Wire can also buy me a turn or two to setup if need be, same with Winter Orb.
4. Trading Post: Yes, this is amazing, it is rather on the slow side but this is where Myr Turbine comes into play and in conjunction with one another it just becomes so spicy ^^ It also creates Goats for my Springjack Pasture.
5. Blightsteel COlossus: Same here, its a personal preference. I happen to have an old foil one from when i starte dplaying. FOr atleast 2 years i didn't play this card because a friend absolutley hated it. Then he started playing worse stuff and i just thought that i should startm cranking out some bad stuff as well.
So i did a play with Copper Gnomesand made him read out the flavour text outloud (he had the best board and was about to win next turn.). He knew i haven't run the card before in that meta since he and others have stated the same thing, but as the powerlevel rose i cranked my powerlevel up as well. It actually happned by accident because i had the day before tested Blightsteel in a different meta and it was still in the deck.
So i sacced the Gnome and he got to see a monster of the like sof which he has never seen, and i put in Blightsteel into play.
I knew that if he made the correct play he could block and survive, but then another player gave Blightsteel double strike in instantspeed after blockers and that was a wrap.
So i've kept Blightsteel, others has one short cards or combos as well, and usually people survive with 9 infect and eventually they get to path it or something so, it hasn't caused major damage yet.
6. Myr Turbine is a petcard of mine. Its just nice overall imo, it creates blockers / fodders for my soon to be included Ashnod's Altar/ Krark-Klan Ironworks, it creates creature/artifacts for Trading Post for the flexibility and some lifegain ain't bad, and its a saccoutlet to reset Kozilek and refill my hand.
Scroll Rack IS amazing, it got even better with the new Ash Barrens. I cut Memory Jar from the deck because, well, i already play it in Nekusar and i like to mix it up. But its certainly a contender as a replacement for Blinkmoth Urn.
I felt that Vedalken Orrery didn't do enough (and it was at the time difficult to find a foiled one ((yes, im trying to foil out the deck, missing only a few pieces)) ) because when i played it, it usually wasn't more than that or it didn't survive, but im gonna look into it.
Also, Alhammaret's Archivehas been on my mind lately and i've misplaced my foil copy somewhere...
I would say Mirage Mirror can also help us to ramp by copying a good rock or even land. Let's say we have a rock that can tap for more than 2 mana, we net one mana in the process. Let's say a player has a Cabal Coffers + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth or another big payout land, we can use it. Let's say someone is playing elves and has a Priest of Titania in play? This will help us copy those permanents and generate some insane amounts of mana. Of course, it is situational, but this is the first use I can see to the card.
We could also copy some draw enchantments from a black player. I mean, we run so many rocks that copying a Necropotence and drawing a freaking huge lot of cards right before our turn, during another player end of turn, could be game for us. We could dump our entire hand, possibly with a Paradox Engine and go in for a combo. If we go for this plan I think the inclusion of Shimmer Myr would start to become more and more possible. I know this deck is not fast enough to catchup with things like optimized Zur the Enchanter, but in competitive tables we are almost sure to see a Necropotence somewhere.
I am also pretty sure there would be some combo options with the card, I am still searching, but if anyone can find a combo with this card please post it here! It would then justify the inclusion of the card.

That is not how Necropotence works. You don't get the exiled cards at the beginning of the next end step, but at the beginning of your next end step.

Not a lot of infinite combos coming to mind so much as, "What would you like 2 of?" Metalworker, Doubling Cube, Blightsteel Colossus, pretty much any awesome thing somebody else has as long as it's not awesome only because of an ETB effect. At the least it does give an extra 1 if copying Grim Monolith or Basalt Monolith, but then untaps on its own. But that seems a trivial use even compared to copying Rings of Brighthearth so you can pay 4 for 2 copies of a non-mana activated ability. It just seems a generally useful tool, but I bet the most usefulness you'll get out of Mirage Mirror is copying something of an opponent's.
Yeah I was quite off there (I play it in all my B decks I should have known but... my brain went off it seems).
Still, I think copying value things like that could enable some pretty powerful strategies. Like someone else mentioned before it becomes a copy of the most powerful thing on the battlefield.
Even if it has less interaction with our own stuff, some things are worth copying, like a [[Blightsteel Colossus]] or [[Dark Depths]] for those running it (this makes me want to run it).
I also found a cute interaction with our commander. A lot of times I want to sacrifice it but can't because I have no outlets, well this would allow me to sacrifice Kozilek as an answer to let's say steal effect, while still being able to swing for the annihilation on the same turn.
It could also copy good things to draw cards, amazing lands... I mean, I am pretty sure we can find a spot for this one?
Ok, so I just thaught about something really funny using Mirage Mirror (thinking about some competitive games again):
- Copying Necropotence, like it has already been mentionned a lot before.
- Copying Carpet of Flowers to generate some freaking loads of mana on both main phases (especially in cEDH)
- With infinite mana (let's say from Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth), we can copy our commander to kill it, returning it to the command zone. We can then manage to draw our entire deck without the need of a sac outlet (like Ashnod's Altar, which I find kind of dead in the deck as it runs not enough creatures like it used to), since the legendary rule will allow us to sacrifice it for free. I think this is the closest to an infinite combo I wanted to find, and I think this is a really cool use of this card. It is a lot less dead than Ashnod's Altar, it does the same thing (for two more mana but still) and can even copy the most powerful cards on the battlefield to help you advance your gameplan.
We're getting some really good graveyard hate lately. I cut Tormod's Crypt for Crook of Condemnation not too long ago, but this seems like a much more relevant version. Low mana cost, scry trigger and then exiles all graveyards rather than just one. Plus it can counter Path to Exile/Swords to Plowshares with Kozilek the Great Distortion as commander.

Has anyone done testing with Sunset Pyramid? I like the card thus far. I feel like we could use the early game card advantage. I guess the best comparison would be Serum Tank, which I don't think most of us play. But 2 is staggeringly less than 3 to squeeze in turn after turn.
Mirage Mirror is fantastic. Ramp card, can protect our life total, can create a hasty Kozilek and sacrifice the original, can create infinite combos, and on and on.
Scavenger Grounds is predictably good. No grave to hate on? No worries, it still taps for mana. I'm currently playing without Relic of Progenitus or other grave hate, but might change that as I adapt to my playgroup.
Endless Sands I'm a little torn on. It's another sac outlet for Kozilek. Rarely, the desert type will matter for synergy with Scavenger Grounds. Rarely, the last ability will be relevant. It's cheaper to activate than Miren, the Moaning Well, but that gain 12 life can be usefull. Endless Sands seems good enough for our deck, but of course it's painful to make cuts anywhere in our list.

I haven't really thought about Sunset Pyramid, but if it tapped for mana i would definetly look at it.
Yes, i added it to my deck and i could play a Ulamog, copy it and swing with a hasty one. And copying a manastone that taps for 3 ramps us. I haven't even had the luxury of copying Metalworker yet haha.
Im trying to get a foil one, that would make it so im running 3 Graveyard hate effects. Im currently running Relic of Progenitus and Tormod's Crypt. Im still thinking about which cards to play, i just think the deck is getting so tight atm. The Crypt is really nice with Paradox Enginewith its 0 mana cost. A free untap trigger is nice to have and its nice for gicing metalcraft to Mox Opal.
Endless Sandsis a card i won't be looking at, i don't think we're the deck for it. Im looking more towards Zirilian decks and whatnot.
And i think if you exile your general with the land and someone blows it up, your general is permaexiled no?

Think its just protection or easy way to replay kozi when you have bazillions of mana and need cards. No way you'd actually put him in exile, just back in the command zone. The second part of the ability doesn't really matter, just 2, tap, save my commander from Treachery or replay him.

I see you've included Scroll Rack in your list, which I find amazing in this build, alongside Memory Jar for those times you really need to counter something (Austere Command, Merciless Eviction, Vandalblast, Bane of Progress).
I've also tried to shift towards mana rocks that do more than just ramp. I run Mind Stone, but also things like Magnifying Glass, Seer's Lantern, Unstable Obelisk, Thought Vessel, alongside some creatures like Kozilek's Channeler and Warden of Geometries.
Also, Vedalken Orrery is a fantastic addition, more so with Unwinding Clock.
My List is here for comparison:

I've looked into Magnifying Glass and Seer's Lantern and im leaning towards Seer's Lantern, but then again the investigate ability is great with Krark-Klan Ironworks, it lets me draw cards and it works great with Inspiring Statuary.
Thanks for the tips and pointers!

EDIT: OH YEAH, what do you guys think about Sword of Feast and Famine? Works well with Winter Orb and such.
And im still looking for a Mirage Mirror.
EDIT 2:I realised that Mirage Mirror can save it self from certain wraths by turning into other type of permanents, especially lands.

Dark Depths comes to mind.
Not a lot of infinite combos coming to mind so much as, "What would you like 2 of?"
Metalworker, Doubling Cube, Blightsteel Colossus, pretty much any awesome thing somebody else has as long as it's not awesome only because of an ETB effect.

It is a lot less dead than Ashnod's Altar, it does the same thing (for two more mana but still) and can even copy the most powerful cards on the battlefield to help you advance your gameplan.
jupp, putting it into my Kozilek the Great Distortion deck!
