Can be a better designed card to play with your commander in play? I said NO! Double ramp + lifegain + stronger slivers + draw card for efectively 0 mana. =)

Well, in first case I will use Sliver Overlord, cause you need to draw Grothama and then fecth for Spiteful sliver, play it, and then play Grothama for suicide X slivers vs Grothama, doing X times 10 damage to any target, and drawing a ton if Grothama dies.
In The Great Henge case, it synergize with every sliver commander. I usually run Sliver Overlord as commander, but sometimes I change for any of the other sliver legends to pair the powerlevel of my deck with the others in casual games. Any sliver legend are a 7/7, so cast The Great Henge is kind of free, except for Sliver Hivelord or Morophon, the Boundless, but it is still great.

I built a deck with The First Sliver at the helm, but I found him to not be an enjoyable general as cascade chains took too long to resolve. I've tweaked the deck very heavily to be more of a control deck that uses the 5C legends as finishers. How does it look? Terrible mana-base aside.
Quite the treasure trove this topic is.
I recently got back into the game after a hiatus of 16 years (i played from 1994-1999 and bought some cards in the years after, once slivers came to existence i was intrigued but i wasn't really buying cards anymore at that time. I played commander a wee while ago and that started the whole MTG craze again...
I bought the Draconic Domination deck and upgraded it some and after my first couple of games the thought entered my mind to start collecting slivers and construct a commander deck.
Well then, it's 1,5 month later and i have almost got them all! I'm waiting for the Sliver Queen to arrive and the Hive Lord and a few slivers i couldn't find easily.
Last weekend i discovered this forum and more specific this primerand constructing a deck was sped up. Tomorrow i will play my first games with the Hive.
I will post my deck tomorrow somewhere i reckon.
*The Queen stirs from her slumber and sleepily regards the newcomer that just walked into her chamber, then bids him to come closer with a gesture of her claws*
By all means, do keep us posted! I'm kind of out of date with the more recent editions, so I'm intrigued to see how you're building your deck.
I would say aggro-toolbox. My duals lands and other stuff that could have made me more rich have passed on to others in times long ago so this is my manabase.
Tonight it will see action for the first time (first time playing Slivers, yay)but in testrunst it seems to work out fine.
I will be facing the Vampire (Edgar) deck tonight and i'm curious how it will hold up.
Good list. How's your budget? Patriarch's Bidding would probably work better than Empty the Catacombs. A few really powerful slivers that aren't currently in your list are Manaweft Sliver, Galerider Sliver, and Sliver Hivelord. I'm not wild about your slivers that only pump their toughness - they should always win in combat and kill people because you're almost always attacking with Sliver Legion or evasion. And though not important against Edgar, counter magic can hurt you, I'd probably play Root Sliver. But I think your list will perform well, I think the biggest missing piece is Manaweft Sliver to help you with ramping up your sliver production.
Thank you. The cards you mentioned are on my want list, :sunny:. My budget is good enough to buy them next month since the Hivequeen here is smart enough to give me a budget/month for silly stuff. Although i am going to sell some wargaming stuff...
Buffing my slivers is my short term strategy for the time being, when the SliverQueen arrives i might switch to a more combo style of play.
Give my list a look. If you notice, I run far fewer slivers. You don't generally tend to need a ton of them. A lot of them seem neat and fun, but you never really end up using. I bought pretty much every darn sliver there was at first and have pulled most of them out of the deck.
I really am not a fan of BOP in this deck when Manaweft does so much more for an extra mana.
I only play 2 non-sliver cards in my deck. OG Kozilek (Anti-Mill and Tooth and Nail target) and Biomancer's Familiar (Training Grounds backup). I guess Morophon isn't technically, but counts as one.
Your mana is going to be very very slow. If you are okay with that, that's fine, but know it can be frustrating.

Yes, well i just played my first two games with Slivers, ghegh. I actually won twice versus no Vampires but a Wizard deck and Artifacts galore. Mana went pretty fast...
BOP has to go, indeed, thanks.
My dragon deck was much, much slower i noticed.
Training grounds is on my wants list though.
Well as a very noobie Commander player playing against a much more experienced one, two wins is glorious for the hive!
Edit: i will take an extensive look at your deck tomorrow due to a fair amount of Imperial Stout.

Since our archmage overlord here has suggested Patriarch's Bidding, in the same vein you could also try Eerie Ultimatum. Harder to cast, but if you bring in Manaweft Sliver to complement Gemhide Sliver as he said, you shouldn't have any issues. Except, of course, that the opposition is going to freak out and try to tear you a new one.
Also, since we're at it, what do you fellow servants of the Swarm think of companion legends? I just noticed Jegantha, the Wellspring and dug the rest up.
The topic of companions is a loaded discussion - I've seen people get very passionate on all sides of them. In EDH I like them, but in other constructed formats they were warping and hence why the mechanic had to change (now costs 3 generic mana to put from sideboard into hand at sorcery speed).
For Slivers, Jegantha, the Wellspring is pretty good as far as companions go. I'd lose Patriarch's Bidding, Telekinetic Sliver, Acidic Slime, Sun Titan, Living Death, and Primal Surge. While I could live without those, the payoff is debatable. Jegantha is good, but once I have access to 5 mana, do I need her as a mana dork? Generally once I've gotten to 5 mana I'm usually doing more impactful things. I think a case could be made for an all-creature version using Umori, the Collector as a companion, but the temptation at that point to just cut Umori and add Primal Surge would be strong.

Companion? Well i'm unsure if it's worth it. Plus i think i like a minimum, read: none, of non-slivers in my hive.
A friend of mine thought Growing Rites of Itlimocwould be nice for a EDH Sliverdeck. What would you gentlemen think about that? I'm somewhat unsure about it.
To be honest, I feel there are better uses for the slot it would take up. Sure, having two Gaea's Cradles would be awesome, but there are easier ways to achieve that (Vesuva or Thespian's Stage jump to mind).
Plus, I think of the requirements to trigger the transformation. I only have 4 creatures in play when the rest of the board doesn't have countermeasures to turn the battlefield into a smoking crater. It's not a rare thing for the opposition to nuke the table when I have 3 (or even 2!) slivers in play. I do pack thralls myself, which kind of mitigates the threat, but only to a certain extent. You have made it a point not to field anything other than slivers, so the fear factor of your decklist ought to be bigger.
Manaweft Sliver is much stronger in your list, and should be a higher priority, than Growing Rites of Itlimoc. The latter is decent, but consider this: generally by the time you have 4+ creatures, you're probably threatening lethal damage: one is hopefully a mana sliver, one is hopefully a protection sliver, one is likely your commander...at that point, what's your 4th? Removal sliver, pump sliver, sliver that grants evasion...any way you slice it, by the time you have 4 slivers through your turn, you're either winning or going to get blown up by your opponents. Growing Rites is ok, but pretty slow compared to what your deck is capable of doing.

In my modest experience, vampirism isn't a thing your slivers will profit greatly from. Considering just how eager your opponents will be to nuking your swarm, I don't think they'll be able to stick around for long to enjoy those counters if they get them, Hivelord Sliver and similar shenanigans notwithstanding. On the other hand, you can't have enough lifelink - and Syphon's ability STACKS with that of Essence's if you have them both in play.
Also, for the love of the Queen, get or buy or borrow or steal a Hibernation Sliver! You'll be amazed at the plays enabled by having that sleepy fellow on the board.
Thank you for the response.
Sedge and Syphon are on their way and somehow i forgot to add my Hibernation Sliver. Will add them and cut more +/+ giving ones.
Yesterday the Hive had a glorious victory at the expense of Edgar Vampires and a Dragon deck. Sliver Legion for the win!

I'd like to add Spiteful Sliver and Blasphemous act as a finisher or maybe slot in pestilence or pyrohemia since they synergize so well with the hivelord.
I'd also like to add Psionic Sliver/quilled sliver they're great with the deathtouch slivers and the hivelord.

If you don't mind, would you be willing to consider these small changes?
- Clot Sliver
+ Sedge Sliver
The replacement pick's ability is cheaper (albeit somewhat color restrictive), and it boasts a small passive bonus.
- Vampiric Sliver
+ Syphon Sliver
[Horde] Phyrexia ascendant - The Virus
WUBRG - [Primer] Sliver Overlord - The Swarm - WUBRG
Sedge and Syphon are on their way and somehow i forgot to add my Hibernation Sliver. Will add them and cut more +/+ giving ones.
Yesterday the Hive had a glorious victory at the expense of Edgar Vampires and a Dragon deck. Sliver Legion for the win!
