Sliver queen is close. Infinite token, but they can't attack if you get infinite mana on your own turn.
True. I was more thinking of another general that draws the library like these 2 do.
Also fun fact. If we add white it's super unlikely that new cards will be added to the deck. Without white a lot of cards never made the cut and now it's even more unlikely.
Except imperial seal which I need a slot for soon

Hey guys so I've actually moved on from commander on to 60 card decks so I don't have any commander decks.
Anyway I've started my own gameplay channel in which I play games (Magic also)
I find myself more and more tempted to try a Tasigur build, as he's one of my favourite creatures.
do players find he draws a lot of hate?
does he have a lot of room to build to playstyle?
Tasigur is without a doubt a tier 1 deck that should always draw hate. It I sit down with another Tasigur I will try to kill them as soon as I could.
You can always build him in many ways like storm, reanimator, politics, lands, or whatever.

Looking like it. I want to do a tiny bit more testing because I'm missing a few cards that I had to cut but after today I think I'm sticking with Mermaidman and Barnacleboy. Ravos was actually a relevant card which I found surprising and Thrasios just wins games and ramped like crazy. I'm thinking they're gonna be the generals for a good while. Just need to fix the deck because I miss pernicious deed, noxious revival, and carpet. I had to cut some cards and that was short hard.

So got a good amount of testing in today and I think I'll stick with the changes. Thrasios can actually come down earlier than Tasigur on average and while the body isn't as big the mana sink ability is much better since it's not opponents choice. Plus adding massive powerhouses to the deck help a ton. To the point where I cut a lot of good cards and threw them on the test list for later because I honestly could not narrow it down all the way.
Dark Confidant once I feel better about the cmc Terastodon if Ashen Rider isn't good enough or enough by himself Sultai charm because I needed to cut something Life//death because it was the worst reanimation spell and I feel like I have a ton added already Muddle the mixture because the other counters were just better more often.
Even more than that here are all the cards I want to add in the future
I'm not 100 percent certain on the changes I've made but the main change that matters is I'm feeling real good about the change of General to Generals so I think it's finally time to play some good old Abzan Blue or Sultai White... Esper green? I don't know

I play a reanimator deck with Zur so looks like a perfect opportunity to add him yours now with having white
Gaddock Teeg is amazing in this deck. Only three cards fail, Dig through time, Force of will, Misdirection. He just shuts down lots of decks. Narset sheds a tear.
Also you might want to seriously consider Hermit Druid and Dread Return in this deck. With Laboratory Maniac you have the win potentially with Thrasios you can draw that turn, rather than waiting a full round, which was Tasigur problem, unless you had draw in your hand.
Other cards that I like in reanimator is Glen Elendra Archmage. Like she is a legitimate reanimation target, but she can be cast easily, shes just that powerful to keeping your board state. Imagine her with Ravos, Soultender, sort of a soft lock.
Where in the heck is Seedborn Muse!?!?! Best card in Tasigur deck, so not sure why it wasn't in the original list? Amazing with Thrasios for getting value, potential extra land drops and drawing cards.
Cards to take out:
Homeward path - no room for colorless in this deck, you're packing another color now, and with only 29 lands!! (bazaar doesn't count, even if you have urborg) Just put in Arid Mesa;'
Stubborn Denial - play Glen Elendra Archmage over this card, now that you have reuse with Ravos
Mox Diamond - in a 29 land deck!? I'd just play another land, swap speed for consistency. An extra land is never going to be a dead card. Play Temple Garden instead
Tainted Pact - Zur the Enchanter as the replacement
Misdirection or Dig Through Time - Excellent cards, but need to take out a card for Gaddock Teeg Dig Through Time not as good without Tasigur because no need to filter graveyard for choices
Misdirection or Dig Through Time - Seedborn Muse amazing with Thrasios
Phyrexian tower - I understand that you can sac in response to exile, but this deck requires its colored mana so much more now. Exotic orchard instead
I noticed in your list that you want to add Imperial Seal. Honestly its just not worth the price. The sorcery speed is actually a major factor. A full round can change the dynamics of what you tutored for. Like honestly as I say your deck would perform better if it was just a land instead. I'm not even joking, over the course of games, your ability to mull better with higher land counts is a major factor.
why ashen rider? im really not sure about it.
im play a deck not so many as yours but know that terastodont good overall but ashen looks like vindicate on stick.
just one permanent. we dont have good ways to cycle creatures and dont have good recursive machanics(like meren or kederekt+ench reanimation) to abuse that card, some times even terastodont looks bad.

Ideally we would have a useful 5c general to let us just jam everything.
That's likely the end goal. If there's a general that also wins with infinite mana like Tasigur or Thrasios then it will likely be the poster child for a long time
All you have to to is play Niv-Mizzet. Gives you all sorts of stupid utility in the CZ. I feel like I can't find a reason to play a midrange deck not headed by him right now, because he gives you this absurd toolbox and an infinite mana outlet.
Best part is that you don't have to rely on Laboratory Maniac, so its trading a functionally vanilla 2/2 for a 5/5 beater with upside as your dead-slot wincon.

I couldn't disagree more; this card isn't for the midgame, its for T1/2 or way late in the game when the other players are all starved on resources and you can reload. Drawing that card late in a game is huge, opening with it in the hand is huger. Its like a mull to a perfect six, which tends to be better than an average seven.

I really like this idea and added Zur for test list. 4 mana is a lot but Zur of course is broken and searching up Survival of the fittest is pretty good.

Teeg is on the test list. I'm sure it's awesome but a lot of the games I play here don't have many cards above 4cmc and Narset dies to Elesh Norn anyway
I'm debating Hermit druid but honestly I don't really want to do that here. I know it's powerful but it's so boring
Other cards that I like in reanimator is Glen Elendra Archmage. Like she is a legitimate reanimation target, but she can be cast easily, shes just that powerful to keeping your board state. Imagine her with Ravos, Soultender, sort of a soft lock.

Glen and Seedborn were too slow in Tasigur so I never considered them. I don't think they'll be making the cut. They're good and all but I'm not playing a midrange deck where I want to cast them. By the time I have the mana available to cast them I should be doing much better things.

Homeward path is likely being cut but for now I'm keeping it until I find a better land idea. Probably Arid mesa but there are other lands for me to test.
Stubborn denial is a 1 mana counter when I want to protect a fatty from spells and I've loved it even without Tasigur, plus going from a 1 mana counterspell to a 6 mana double counter seems eh. I get that she can be more abused but I don't want to get to the point where I'm casting her on turn 4 because that means I haven't done enough impact by then
Mox diamond is fine because sure the land count is low but once I hit 3 mana I'm good to go with nearly every spell in the deck. There are plenty of cases where I keep a 2 land hand and something like Jace, Sylvan library, or Dark Confidant and another land comes up no problem. Sure it's more risky but I found it worth it so far. Plus Thrasios can come down turn 1 because of that.
Tainted pact says "Win the game with Laboratory Maniac"
Misdirection and Dig are both fantasic in here too. Misidrection being a slightly worse force of will and dig looks through so many cards for often 2 mana that I can set up the following turn easily
Phyrexian Tower I can see cutting but not for temple garden. The green and white cards here are pretty much a splash anyway so adding that wouldn't make much sense

Ashen Rider is a test. Not solid in the deck quite yet but can be super abusive. However I need more than one sac outlet so he may be gone soon. I already want Perncious deed and Terastodon back in
Revallark doesn't really get much here other than combo and it's a little mana heavy for what I want to do.
And I'm not doing Boonweaver combo, I want this deck to still feel like my own thing so no Hermit druid or Boonweaver combos in here.
It's dumb but if a deck doesn't feel like my own thing then I see no reason to play it.
All you have to to is play Niv-Mizzet. Gives you all sorts of stupid utility in the CZ. I feel like I can't find a reason to play a midrange deck not headed by him right now, because he gives you this absurd toolbox and an infinite mana outlet.

My eyes literally widened when I read that. Looks like I have a lot more testing to do. Having Lab Man and Niv-Mizzet as kill conditions seems super good. Memories journey and Noxious revival both help if Niv is discards and riftsweeper/pull from eternity for exile. Might now even need them though
Only issue is Scion is fairly meh until I have combo while Thrasios isn't (or Tasigur) and I would need infinite of every color so adding all the 5 color good lands would be manditory
I couldn't disagree more; this card isn't for the midgame, its for T1/2 or way late in the game when the other players are all starved on resources and you can reload. Pretty much this. Keeping a hand of six with something like vamp tutor has often been better than a hand of 7 without so Seal is going in for sure.
Removing Terastodon and deed was stupid.
Saffi while good isn't as good as skite or safekeeper and Ashen rider isn't as good without sacing so I'm putting them on the test list for now.
Carpet of flowers and Noxious revival are next to go back in I'm sure

I read your thread and follow its development because I like your build and that possibility didn't occur to me, ahah. Thanks for sharing!
What made you decide Ravos over Tymna? I've been thinking some up similar but a bit less reanimation in exhcange for inf mana combos, but I'm really thinking she's a better slot in just because I can see a few more windows to trigger her draw than to ever really get value from Ravos because if it's anything worthwhile it's pretty telegraphed. Is a flying chump blocker worth it when preparing for a general competitive meta? I haven't seen Kaliaa in a long time and I dont recall protecting myself did me much good.
Oh dammit. Although I'm trying to see how you can win with infinite mana and infinite draw. There's no combo that actually kills everyone (under most circumstances) when you factor in not having infinite recursion.

Honestly the Black/White commander mattered so little that I picked Ravos because he allows me to "abuse" small creatures like Snapcaster, Sylvan, spellskite, etc when they die for multiple uses. I figured that was a little better since I almost never attack anyway. The anthem effect is nice too but not necessary.

With infinite draw you have cast Lab man and then draw card. If they kill it then activate Thrasios and draw a card.
Deck is changing again soon anyway

Yeah, I'm working on 5c as well. Doom, maybe try Bloom Tender?
Worldgorger works with Animate Dead, Dance of the Dead and Necromancy. You reanimate him, and he exiles everything you control including the aura. This makes the Dragon die, returning your permanents. At this point your lands come into play untapped and you can tap them for mana. The aura which reanimated the dragon returns as well, allowing you to do it again. With which loop you are now able to generate mana.
Yeah, I'm working on 5c as well. Doom, maybe try Bloom Tender?
I may test it out but I'm not certain on it. Our curve stops at 3 essentially so I don't see much reason to play her. The extra mana will likely not be used and I don't see her tapping for too much. I will test it out though.
I'm trying to think of all the options for scion infinite. If Niv is in the yard we have Memory's Journey and brainstorm if he's in hand.
We can Bazaar to put Niv/Jounrey in the yard if needed and then search Niv up afterwards. Seems like it will work very often

It only needs to produce two colors to be worth it, which isn't too hard. But I can't deny that I'm dreaming of taping her for 5
If Niv is in the Yard we can just reanimate him as well. The coolest part about Niv is that he also draws our deck so we can deal with random hate on the table.

That's very true. I'm subbing out Riftsweeper for Pull from eternity because you know Instant > Creature 1 cmc > 2 cmc.

I see a lot of competitive decks running one of the two and I always want to question the necessity of playing a niche card for insurance purposes.

Pretty much this. Keeping a hand of six with something like vamp tutor has often been better than a hand of 7 without so Seal is going in for sure.
Edit:
-Saffi Eriksdotter
-Ashen rider
+Terastodon
+Pernicious deed
Removing Terastodon and deed was stupid.
Saffi while good isn't as good as skite or safekeeper and Ashen rider isn't as good without sacing so I'm putting them on the test list for now.
Carpet of flowers and Noxious revival are next to go back in I'm sure

I read your thread and follow its development because I like your build and that possibility didn't occur to me, ahah. Thanks for sharing!

Oh dammit. Although I'm trying to see how you can win with infinite mana and infinite draw. There's no combo that actually kills everyone (under most circumstances) when you factor in not having infinite recursion.
The Unidentified Fantastic Flying Girl.
EDH
Xenagos, the God of Stompy
The Gitrog Monster: Oppressive Value.
Marchesa, Marionette Master - Undying Robots
Yuriko, the Hydra Omnivore
I make dolls as a hobby.

Once I narrow this down to 100 (8 more cuts) I'll start editing the front again to make a 5 color infinite reanimator deck

With which loop you are now able to generate mana.
worldgorger looks even greater on 3 lands than jin
Purphoros, God of the Forge
Azusa, Lost but Seeking
Narset, Enlightened Master
Modern
Twin
I may test it out but I'm not certain on it. Our curve stops at 3 essentially so I don't see much reason to play her. The extra mana will likely not be used and I don't see her tapping for too much. I will test it out though.
I'm trying to think of all the options for scion infinite. If Niv is in the yard we have Memory's Journey and brainstorm if he's in hand.
We can Bazaar to put Niv/Jounrey in the yard if needed and then search Niv up afterwards. Seems like it will work very often

Still need to find a few more cuts in the deck but almost there.
Had to cut dark confidant again, ugh.
