Well, I'm just getting started on EDH since the people from my local store decided to run a league. The level is not that high, but no infinite combos are allowed.
I've always liked casting big fatties so green was the color to start with and seeking for a general wasn't that easy since I wanted it to be original and that it could help me with my goal of overruning the board so I inclined for Seton since it is underplayed and helps a lot with ramping.
The deck is not based on a tribal aspect, Seton is only there to help me generate ridiculous ammounts of mana. After some turns, it doesn't really rely on the general, since the momentum that the deck can generate at the beggining of the game is almost always enough to start casting fatties. Being that said, the deck currently suffers a lot when opponents kill the little druids to start getting ahead, but I think that's true for most creatured based ramping decks. Without further ado, here's the decklist.
These are the cards I currently trying to get. I abandoned this deck a while ago, but now I'm trying to complete the deck I originally had in cockatrice.
The deck works well in most encounters, only struggling against repeated sweepers. It has the potential to come back from one really well and has some explosive starts. I decided not to run any combos with Cloudstone Curio since I want this deck to be straight based on killing with damage, that's why I didn't add Triumph of the Hordes either, since it works as a 1-card combo that usually takes some opponents away of the game when played. I would like some advice on what to take away for the cards I'd like to include and other suggestions I'm not seeing.
I'd say take a fatty out for Karn Liberated. He is SOOO good in mono Green/Black decks which have holes in their removal spectrums. Another one, which will help out with wraths, is Creeping Renaissance. Pulls all creatures out of the grave to your hand twice (and it is more flexible than that).
Also, swap Druid Lyrist for Elvish Lyrist. $0.25 gets you the same thing but an elf for more Priest mana and Rebecca Guay art. Happy building and such.

I once thought about running Karn, but then I forgot and now you made it come back to my mind. I think I will give it a try and see how it works.
Creeping Renaissance is a card I tested for a while until I got a Praetors Counsel which I think is better. It is not reusable, but the times you get to use it is devastating.
Slate is something I haven't had the chance to get one, as soon as I get it I think I'm gonna cut the Garruk's Horde, since it's been underperforming.
And about the Lyrist, I think the Druid is better because is a more consistent mana source than the elvish one, because you only get to add mana if you have the priest on play.
I run both the counsel and Renaissance. Also, Elvish lyrist is a druid so the swap = +1 mana overall. Thus, it is the same exact thing, with the exception that it makes Priest tap for 1 more mana. All you have to do with cards like that is check their eratum.

You might try cutting a few more fatties for draw cards like Slate of Ancestry and Collective Unconsious.
