I tried out blasting station... It tended to annoy people to the point it made me a target. I ended up taking it out.
Thus far with my new build I have won 18 out of 23 games. I sort of went back to a little bit more of a hybrid build of Aggro and Combo. Or at least it seems like aggro till I combo off. I rarely swing at anyone.
Things that I have tested out with good results is Necromancy. I did try that instant spell with buyback but ended up not liking it. Necromancy allows you to use your opponent's graveyard as a resource.
Corpse Dance is awesome in a deck where you sac creatures constantly, but it is subject to play style and deck setup. I much prefer re-casting Terastodon/Primeval Titan/Avenger of Zendikar every turn, to a one shot non-instant grave steal, not to mention Corpse Dance has haste, and I am already running plenty of creature sack:
Yeah, I think that might not be a bad idea to run that kind of effect in there, but I wish that was a reanimate effect on a persist creature, oh for the next time it comes around.
I haven't read through every single post in this thread but I am kind of surprised I have not noticed any mention of Concordant Crossroads. This with an ability to make your infinite tokens, then drop Concordant Crossroads and swing for the win.
Here is my current list that I have been working with. I am working on trying to fit in Corpse Dance and possibly swap Genesis for Oversold Cemetery but just not sure.
I started with Oversold Cemetery, but I found it to not be so stellar because you have to have 3 in your grave to make it work, and by the time I had 3, I could have already combo'd out or lost to agro when they figured out what I could do.
I just don't think Genesis is so awesome here, this deck for some reason just needs so much mana to run, and even though Corpse Dance is kinda mana heavy, it has good applications while you are drawing combo pieces, most notably casting a Primeval Titan with haste, provided not all of you opponents have 6/6's up, that's 4 land right there in 1 turn.
It all depends on what type of Ghave you're going for. If you like the idea of making a large token army backed by goodstuff\recursion, then cards like Genesis, Oversold Cemetery, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, and so on are golden.
But if you're going the pure combo route, as many in this thread are, it's best to leave those cards at home and get more tutors and combo redundancy in those slots. Still needs recursion--but fast, one-shot spells like Regrowth and Eternal Witness are better in the combo version.
P.S. Once my foil Sterling Grove gets here I am calling this deck finished (until ISD, lol).

The problem I have is: is it worth running the creatures to reanimate? Prime Time sure, but I've already cut most of the other good targets because they aren't infinite enough for my liking.

It's okay, but it's fairly low down the list of potential wincons once you have infinite tokens. Blasting Station and so forth seem a bit better.
Volrath's Stronghold suits this role perfectly well for me. But for those who can't get the Stronghold, those two and Haunted Crossroads are decent alternatives.
Do you guys think that the new ISD legend would be good in here? Then again his abilities require tapping so probably not. I just wanted to see your opinions.

Nope. Like all those other cards that spam counters every which way, it just isn't infinite enough.
Degrees of infinity, eh? With this deck, all things are made possible.
But I think I agree. I just saw the card, and immediately considered his application, but concluded that he's in the same boat as Ajani Goldmane or Primordial Hydra. Too slow and "not infinite enough" respectively.
However, if you're doing the token horde strategy rather than creating degrees of the infinite and breaking down the rules of reality with Ghave's Large Hadron Collider, the guy is pretty solid.

Yeah, when I saw it I was like ooh shiny new stuff, but then about half way through writing my post I thought about it and came to about the same conclusion my self. I just wanted to see you guy's thoughts and I guess they are about the same as mine.
I don't know if it was cut, but Summoner's Pact is better than it because the pact gets you the card now and costs you nothing right now allowing you to possibly go off this turn. I personally don't run liliana and both worldly and the pact. I don't know if viper ever did though.
If anyone else feels the need to run more win conditions, there's always Pentavus and Triskelion's love child, Triskelavus. Like Triskelion, it's direct damage, so no waiting till next turn to win.

Something getting removed is no reason not to run it. Perhaps the reason you combo with those other cards so regularly is because they waste their removal or countermagic on those creatures? One just needs to play this deck a lot and learn how to bait removal. Chances are, even in a 4-man game, we have more combos and recursion than they do answers.
However, if I were to cut any of those, it would be the Drover. I took mine out some time ago. The Ranger and Captain are much better.
See I'm just the opposite. My artifacts and enchantments draw all the hate, and then these useless (outside of Ghave) creatures come down and wreck the board. Everyone knows about Doubling Season, Earthcraft, Ashnod's Altar, and so on. Not so known are these crappy GW guys.
so the general plan is to combo out asap, and if u fail, buildup and combo again? is there a plan b of whacking with tokens? i find a triumph of the horde to be a super bomb that does win you games.. anyway when will the primer be up?
Well if you go pure combo, there really are so many possible combos spread through so many card types, that the odds of not being able to combo are very small. But then again, I have won by beating down with Ghave before.
As to the prime, you would have to ask Viper, but I would have thought that he would have written it up by now.

True. The deck has won a couple times from simple beatdown. But that's only once in a while under unusual cirsumstances. The primary focus should be combo. OR aggro OR goodstuff. Nothing in between or you end up with a horrible incoherent mess. Pick a path and stick with it.
Okay, I'm totally ripping this from my friend's deck, but have you considered Overgrowth or Dawn's Reflection to go infinite with Earthcraft? It also has the benefit of being able to be set up entirely from the graveyard when casting Replenish (minus the general of course).

BTW, I recently replaced Hornet Queen with Yavimaya Elder. He's more useful in general, and combos better with Reveillark (he and\or Solemn Simulacrum can draw until you find Triskelion or Bitter Ordeal for an instant win). The 'Lark combo has become quite vicious if I do say so myself. o.0
