Pretty awesome deck. I'm sure you've answered this somewhere - perhaps many times - but are there any budget considerations in your list? Namely, I noticed the ABU duals are omitted. Are there any upgrades you'd make to your list?

Of course, if I owned any ABU duals, I would do a 1-for-1 swap for the shocklands. That would probably save me around 6-10 life a game. Probably the only other thing I would want if budget was no consideration is a copy of The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale. That would be an awesome way to slow down creature decks. Sure, it would make me lose tokens, but I think it would be worth running. There's just the problem of the $1,200+ price tag.
Also, I'm currently re-evaluating every card in here because of the changes to the planeswalker rule. I need to get another copy of Reki, the History of Kamigawa (my other one is in my commander cube, but I keep this deck separate).
Thought I'd post again after a long time with my current version of my build of the Deck. I switched to Ramos because his ability could be very useful and I wanted to give him a try(and honestly I have a rule where the commander of one of my decks cannot be in the 99 of another of my decks, and I wanted my Sliver Queen to go back into my Sliver tribal deck and rarely used her anyways :P). He has really cool doubling season synergies that could allow for nice bursts of mana too so that's nice.
I think of the new stuff, I am leaning to cutting out the new Daretti, putting him in another artifact centered deck of mine, and replacing him with the new Vraska.
Like you, I've also been rethinking which walkers are in this deck, since now the Planeswalker rule is gone and have multiple with the same name is no longer the handicap it used to be. Like you, the new legendary rule really makes me want to run Reki, the History of Kamigawa, and I think I may finally replace Inexorable tide for him, not sure. I am still a tad weary about him just because of the number of board wipes this deck places may stop him from doing much, but I can certainly see many games where the card advantage is just insane.
Once again thanks so much to FunkyDragon for the primer that helped me build this deck, it is easily my favorite of my edh decks, and I adore playing it. Let me know any comments or suggestions you have, Thanks!

Very nice list. How has Ramos been working for you? I'm interested in the ability and consider Ramos one of the best three commanders for this deck, but I worry about durability. Does he survive long enough to start paying out mana?
Also, have you tried Alchemist's Refuge? I can't say enough about this card. Instant speed wraths, end of turn Doubling Season followed by multiple planeswalkers the next turn, etc.
I'm still trying to figure out which cards to acquire/add with the latest update. My "there can be only two" rule is out the window, Reki is joining the party (possibly bringing along legendary spells like Oaths), and I still need a copy of the God-Pharaoh and the new Vraska. It'll be interesting to see how much changes.

So far Ramos has been quite good. First time playing him dropped him turn 7, and then next turn dropped Doubling Season and a two color walker, Daretti I think and immediately got a ton of mana to drop a few more walkers to Ulti. Another game he was killed immediately because another in our group has an aggressive Ramos non-walker build. I feel like overall the Queen is the safer pick because she can spit out blockers, but she is also hated too so there's that. Ramos seems to be high risk, high reward. Due to doubling season, getting his ability off in one turn isn't difficult, and if you do, he's a huge power play for you. I tend to not leave him out for long, and only try to play him if I can get the mana same turn or one turn later at the latest.
I could certainly see the benefit of Alchemist's Refuge, do you think it would be worth cutting Krosan Verge and losing a bit of mana consistency for that powerful effect? I mean I do have 10 fetches so it may be worth it. It would also remove the only land in my deck that unconditionally enters the battlefield tapped. Hmmm.
I got super lucky at the midnight pre-release and got Vraska as my promo, so I am going to put her in for Inexorable Tide and leave Daretti in for now until I can get another copy of Reki for Superfriends.
As another note, I'd highly recommend trying Teferi's Protection. Being able to completely remove yourself and your board from the game for a turn can be a blowout, especially if you are about to Ulti a key walker or something important of ours is about to go boom.
Out of curiosity, Sliver Queen and Ramos aside, who do you see as the third good potential commander?

Yeah, with your manabase, I think you're safe without Krosan Verge. Alchemist's Refuge could even make Ramos better, allowing you to drop him at end of opponent's turn, go to your turn and play stuff for counters, then cash in for more mana to play even more in one big, explosive turn.
Teferi's Protection is certainly a card I need to acquire. I've long been a fan of Ghostway for protecting my creatures (and retriggering CIP abilities), and a variant that protects both me and my walkers sounds amazing.
I think the third best general is Sliver Hivelord, just because it's indestructible. A beefy, hard to remove general that eats attackers and survives some boardwipes is far from the worst thing you could run.

You know for some reason I had it in my head that it was non-creature not non-land, even though I think its in my Animar deck lol. So I am taking your advice, cutting Krosan Verge for Alchemist's Refuge. I updated my post above with my new current decklist, thanks for the help!
I made a few tentative changes and played a game on Tuesday, but I'm waiting to update the decklist until I'm sure I like the changes. Also, I'm still trying to get my hands on Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh and Vraska, Relic Seeker.
The only one I saw during that game was Oath of Nissa, but I already had all the color fixing I needed, so I'm not sure it helped. I'm going to play several more games before deciding if these changes are permanent.
Been playing the deck a bunch. I started using Ramos as well. He's tough to get out at certain times but otherwise has proven as useful as the Silver Queen. In addition people in my meta are less likely to target me first when they know I won't have the extra blockers down the road, also flying blocker is great with everyone and their mother playing Markov from the new commander decks.
Other night I was able to get Ramos to 5 tokens, by casting a board wipe, take the mana before the spell resolved. Pretty much let me drop all my walkers in hand and get down Humility. People quickly lost interest which is kinda my win condition at this point. It seems this deck is very oppressive sometimes, and I almost feel bad but then again when you ultimate/planeswalker on turn 5/6, which happens, I can see why people get a little annoyed.
Also, I run Malestrom Nexus and it allowed me to cast into Doubling Season last night, then Reki after my next Planeswalker. Reki drew me into the remaining cards I needed to win. It's excellent addition with the legendary rule.
It's nice to hear Ramos is pulling his weight. It's good that there's an effective general that doesn't cost an arm and a leg like Sliver Queen. And yes, Wanderer is good. I've played him in a more creature friendly build, and he was rather explosive.
The new bolas is unreal, I finally added it into my list, which hasn't been updated in a while, I should soon. Have you thought about adding in the new Vraska?

Yeaaah, she seems hot right now, I got one in my box, so I was fortunate. Still haven't found a spot for it though.
Not me. I love silver-bordered and plan to do an Un-Cube and maybe a Baron Von Count deck, but I don't particularly like any of those cards you mentioned. I absolutely hate the design for Urza - I want a self-contained joke, not something where I have to worry about my phone's connection and battery just to play Magic. Everythingmajig feels overcosted in every variation. Rules Lawyer has a legit use in superfriends, as it keeps planeswalkers alive with 0 loyalty, but I don't really want to cram one joke card into a serious deck. If I'm doing jokes, I'm going all in.
I’m already adding Rules Lawyer and Fowl Play to my Atraxa superfriends deck. I may also add By Gnome Means as a way to produce cheap chump blockers which can also be used to give any walker that extra counter to go ultimate.

That's fair. I want to try a few of them, since in my opinion Unstable cards are very close to black bordered cards in my opinion, kinda like another future sight, and most of them aren't too silly. I read somewhere there are releasing an offline way to play Urza, Academy Headmaster, I think in the form of a pdf, since there are 20 possible abilities for each loyalty ability, so if you were worried about your phone's connection or battery, one could just print the pdf and bring a 20-sided die (this is my plan *note, I do agree it is annoying to have to worry about phone OR pdf, but it still seems like a fun way to sometimes get under-costed walker abilities and ultimates* ). Rules Lawyer will be fun to try and see how quickly I can break it, and I see the proliferate Everythingmajig version as a third Contagion Engine like card, a little overcosted yeah and nowhere near as powerful as the Engine, but one with the additional abilities to steal counters from other walkers, creatures, etc. as well as placing +1/+1 counters to buff tokens or as a political motion in a game.
I’m already adding Rules Lawyer and Fowl Play to my Atraxa superfriends deck. I may also add By Gnome Means as a way to produce cheap chump blockers which can also be used to give any walker that extra counter to go ultimate.
I hadn't thought of By Gnome Means, that might be worth considering. Why Fowl Play? Is it just for the silliness, or is there an interaction I am missing with the card? lol

Played a game last week where Reki provided much needed late-game draw (four cards in one turn) and even drew me into Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh, which I cast with Doubling Season on the board for an instant-ult that sealed the win.
And it's that time again - time to rate the newest walkers.
Angrath, Minotaur Pirate (4.5) - His plus can clear small tokens and has some great Humility synergy, but his minus is useless, being tribal-focused. His ult is great and could potentially be a wincon, but it fails the Doubling Season test and isn't really worth building up to - not to mention that for it to do any good, they have to have lots of power, which makes it less likely he will survive to ult.
Angrath, the Flame-Chained (6.5/10) - It's nice to get new blood in the planeswalker pool, and this Angrath is alright if not stellar. His plus ability may not affect the board, but it can limit your opponents' options while throwing in a little burn. His minus could be better - stealing a creature is decent, and getting rid of it is great, but honestly, I'd rather get rid of bigger creatures, not smaller. His ult is great and can often be lethal to at least one player.
Huatli, Radiant Champion (4/10) - Huatli just isn't meant to become a superfriend. The ult is the only decent part, turning tokens into card draw, but it's not really worth building up to.
Vraska, Scheming Gorgon (5/10) - Vraska's back, and instead of making baby-Phages, this one turns every creature we own into a full-blow Phage, which is hilarious. She also has a removal ability. Unfortunately, her plus is crap and not worth using to build up to the other abilities. At least she passes the Doubling Season instant-ult test?
Not a great showing for our purposes. Rivals of Ixalan doesn't exactly love superfriends, which brings us to the elephant in the room:
This card shuts us down 100%. It is the worst hate-card I can possibly think of.
I mean, we run Humility because it messes with creature strategies, but even then, they can swarm or pump and still do stuff like kill us or our walkers
This is worse than Humility.
Not only that, but it does a ton of other stuff. It draws cards, it cheapens spells, and it pumps creatures. It's the Swiss Army Knife of goodstuff and can be crammed in any deck (except superfriends, of course).
And what's really lame is that usually I depend on a walker to remove problem artifacts, whether it's directly with Freyalise or Bolas or if it's with Aura Shards and any walker that creates a token. With this out, that's not an option. My current build only has two answers: Austere Command or Aura Shards with my commander. I may have to rethink this depending on how often I see The Immortal Sun show up.
Can we discuss the potential of the leaked Dominaria cards or should we wait until they're officially released?
I'm fine discussing it. I know some people prefer avoiding spoilers, so they should not scroll down.
Let's get the party started:
Chandra, Bold Pyromancer - Planeswalker deck planeswalkers tend to be overcosted, and this is no exception. But that ultimate is pretty sweet.
Curator's Ward - Ultimately not worth a slot. Hexproof is nice, but that doesn't stop creatures from attacking.
Goblin Chainwhirler - This little guy is going to hurt us; make sure you keep your loyalty up. And I'm going to love playing it in Purphoros.
Jaya Ballard - She helps with spell-slinging and could be okay with our board wipes, but I just don't feel like she fits the deck enough.
Jhoira's Familiar - A cost reducer, but I'd rather just play a ramp spell.
Jodah, Archmage Eternal - And here we have another commander option. While it can reduce things like Bolas, I think Ramos might be better for mana purposes.
Karn, Scion of Urza - This seems bad. You get the worst card from the top two, have to lose loyalty to get the better one, and we don't want tons of artifacts.
Oath of Teferi costs a bit more than I wish, but man, is it good. Extra activations make our walkers so much better, and the blink can reset something if it's low on loyalty.
Settle the Score - Exile spot removal and extra loyalty. Has potential, but I don't know if it's worth the slot - I think I'd rather just use a board wipe.
Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain - Whenever you cast a historic spell, draw a card. (Artifacts, legendaries, and Sagas are historic.)
I think the new Jhoira is worth considering. Would act like a second copy of Reki, with the added benefit of giving us a draw with artifacts like our ramp artifacts, contagion artifacts, rings of brighthearth, etc. in addition to our walkers and commander.
Also, I'm currently re-evaluating every card in here because of the changes to the planeswalker rule. I need to get another copy of Reki, the History of Kamigawa (my other one is in my commander cube, but I keep this deck separate).

I hadn't thought of By Gnome Means, that might be worth considering. Why Fowl Play? Is it just for the silliness, or is there an interaction I am missing with the card? lol

Ah fair enough, hadn't even thought of it in the same vein lol.

Turns out it is true, they put out an article about it. I see a number of cards that will make me re-arrange the deck a bit.
Kamahl's Druidic Vow - One G cheaper than Genesis Wave, but it whiffs on things like Doubling Season and Rings of Brighthearth. I think I'd rather pay the extra mana.
Primevals' Glorious Rebirth - Returns all planeswalkers to the battlefield. Might have potential.
Settle the Score - Exile spot removal and extra loyalty. Has potential, but I don't know if it's worth the slot - I think I'd rather just use a board wipe.
Teferi, Hero of Dominaria - Card draw is nice, and the emblem is nuts.
That's just my quick thoughts on the ones that seem relevant to superfriends. Anyone else care to chime in? Any you like or hate?

I think the new Jhoira is worth considering. Would act like a second copy of Reki, with the added benefit of giving us a draw with artifacts like our ramp artifacts, contagion artifacts, rings of brighthearth, etc. in addition to our walkers and commander.
