As soon as I saw her, I thought she'd be an awesome superfriends commander. I personally don't like losing Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker if she's the commander. Also, we actually want her to survive, which means making a more creature-friendly deck, at which point I would want to run Narset, Enlightened Master and Maelstrom Wanderer, but they both have red. I think I will try her in the 99 when I build a different version of the deck, but I'd love to see what other people build with her in the lead.
He feels underwhelming to me. Slowing one creature is all to often not enough. Card draw is great, and the lifegain is a bonus, but I'd rather be gaining loyalty than spending it. And the emblem is quite oppressive, but I just don't see it happening very often, as it's even out of Doubling Season range and his plus just isn't that great.
Atraxa, Praetors' Voice seems like a nice creature for the deck. Solid stats, good abilities and free proliferate every turn!
Yeah personally I really like the card, all the other proliferate tricks are tap abilities or require a bigger price point for the effect, so I really like the static and free proliferate. I think that they missed a chance to make this a five colour commander, even though 4 colour is the themed design, giving it haste and red seems more like new phyrexian praetor-eke creature. But either way I like the card and am going to get a copy.

I have one in my Esper walkers deck and immediatly had to go out an buy another copy for my 5 colour walkers build, the -1 is pretty good if you run a lot of prison effects, with proliferator he's even better. The auto-Static Orb that can't be removed is game ending if/when you get it off. If you run stax/prison strategies then the +1 has value. I think his strength lies in being able to protect him (with stax/prison and counter magic) and cheat out loyalty (via proliferate or Ajani/Animation Module type effects).
I think that the price point is decent, and I think that he is going to be like Narset price wise where he going to have a low point when he isn't being run and rotates out and then slowly creep up again, like Narset has.
I stil run Venser to reset the 3 three mana rocks (Vault and both Monoliths). The ult ain't bad either. The +2 also recovers stolen permanents which happens sometimes.
Deepglow Skate is one of the most broken things I've seen in a long time. It's definitely going in my own superfriends deck and in my Brago deck. Just too broken.

Oh, I've misread the card and thought it only worked on a single permanent. It's definitely a nice addition for the deck.
Sublime Exhalation is a nice option for those focusing on multiplayer games.
I still play Venser as I have some ETB creatures. He's also useful to reset some walkers with useful minus abilities and may eventually win the game if he ults or I end up having lots of tokens. He can also protect a creature from a Wrath effect.
I've also considered dropping red, as it is indeed the least important color in the deck. But I guess I'll stick to 5 colors, mainly for flavor reasons and to keep Nicol Bolas, Chandra Nalaar and Ral Zarek. It also enables me to use any future red walker (and I'm sure they'll eventually print useful red walkers for us). It's not as if the manabase gets much better with just 4 colors.

Overall, it depends on how often you get in 5+ player games. Personally, I like Terminus or Catastrophe are better removal for the price range, and Supreme Verdict, Damnation, or Hallowed Burial because of the tack ons besides get rid of all creatures.
I will say that for the standard four player game, I did notice it costs 3W until people start dropping, which is a less restrictive Day of Judgment.

This brings Venser, the Sojourner back into the fold, right? I guess reports of his demise were greatly exaggerated.
Venser never left. He has always been in my build and is among my favorite walkers. I even got his emblem in a game two weeks ago. That being said, he certainly will be making friends with Doubling Fish.

I agree that I prefer wraths capable of removing creatures with indestructible, persist, undying, etc. Given that Sublime Exhalation is just a generic wipe with no added functionality (no uncounterable or card draw, etc), It doesn't feel good enough to me.

I agree with your thoughts on other board clear options. You're right, unless you're playing in a 4+ person game it won't be as great as the mechanic is trying to make it. Also ***/DoJo option really isn't that much worse. I agree it's a less restrictive Dojo, but with *** at least there's no regeneration (which I never really need or see that much in EDH) which can be an upside over needing the extra W.
Deepglow Skate though, I wonder how much that'll be going for after the set is released and people start grabbing it in troupes. I assume it'll be in the non-red precon, which may be the only one that I go for lol.
I went through the original post, cleaned things up a bit, and made sure every planeswalker is listed and scored. Holy crap are there a lot of them - Gatherer lists 84 planeswalkers now (counting each planeswalker side of a DFC, of course). When I started this thread almost four years ago, there were a lot less.
Meanwhile, I decided against buying any of the new Commander decks, so I'll be trying to trade for a number of cards, including Doubling Fish for this deck. I imagine this will be hard to find, but as soon as I get a copy, it's going in here. If I can pick up Atraxa, Praetors' Voice, I may finally build an alternate version that is creature-friendly and focuses on cheating walkers into play.
You may want to pick up the Atraxa deck, it has the Deepglow Skate as well as other stuff you may need, I picked up the deck alongside the Idris Elba deck and was surprised at how much value they had in them. Both the above mention cards cost about 12ish USD so it may be worth it to pick it up. You also get those cool Rebecca Guay lands which I think are pretty nice.

I had been planning to buy the Atraxa deck, but it really depends on what trades I can manage first. That's the only deck that has close to its value in cards that I am looking for. Nothing against these decks, they have phenomenal reprints - I just already own most of the cards that I would want from them. Here's a quick breakdown:
The five decks contain 48 cards that I am interested in (including reprints).
These 48 cards total about $91.
Of these, 16 are legends that total $46.
Almost a third of the value is in three cards - Atraxa, Doubling Fish, and Magus of the Will.
The non-red deck contains 13 cards that total $32.
The non-green deck contains 11 cards that total $22.
The non-blue deck contains 11 cards that total $16.
The non-white deck contains 8 cards that total $14.
The non-black deck contains 6 cards that total $6.
If I can trade for any of the big three, the incentive to buy a deck drops dramatically. I'll probably give it a few weeks before I buy anything. I'm sure the card prices will fluctuate a bit, a few cards may jump up, and a few may drop, but while the decks are still in print it shouldn't be too bad. And some of the cards are only of casual interest to me.
True, like I said, I only picked up the two, mainly because I knew of the value in the Breed Lethality, and because I wanted to play the Entropic one because of a more casual playgroup. I was lucky enugh to pre-order the Skate at about 5.99 CAD, along with other cards like the Prismatic Geoscope at about 1.50 CAD before they jumped, as I knew they would. You're right about the "hype price" surrounding new product, my concern is with fluctuation. I think cards like Burgeoning, Sol Ring and Solemn Simulacrum are the type of cards that never really stay down because of how good they are. People crack these decks and rarely sell away cards of such universal value.
A friend gave me the Atraxa deck as a super-awesome Christmas present, so now Doubling Fish is entering the deck. Right now, I'm leaning towards swapping Contagion Engine for it.
Also, I finally am about to brew up the alternate creature-friendly version of the deck that is based on cheating walkers into play. I need to reevaluate all the walkers for that play style and look for any other additions. Here are the cards I am currently considering:

Brago is nuts in a walkers build, if Doubling Season comes out after a couple of walkers are out it gives you the doubled loyalty. OR you get multi activations out of your walkers. Flickering nonland permanents can be walkers, oaths, mana rocks, I'd consider it almost a staple in walker decks.

Yeah, this. Someone a couple pages ago mentioned how good he is at A) resetting a walker's loyalty when they get low and B) getting a second activation out of each walker on the post-combat main phase (because a walker that gets exiled and re-enters counts as a new object). The Doubling Season trick is nice, if a bit narrow, but Brago also works well with other permanents, like re-triggering Oaths or Contagion artifacts or even stuff like Doubling Fish. He's really solid in a creature-friendly build, which I'm finally going to try (I hope to get a working build up and running this week. I'll let you know how it goes.
I recommend trying it out with Narset and/or Maelstrom Wanderer. they can get cheap tricks out into the field. I have them both in my primary walker deck and they both produce crazy value. They're decent to consider but may not be up everyone's alley.
My list needs an update, I haven't been able to commit much time to the forum recently.

Yeah, I sleeved up the new alternate build last night, and I'm planning to give it a spin on Tuesday. I think the only card I hadn't listed before was Gisela, Blade of Goldnight - seemed like good protection. We'll see how it does.

Gisela seems interesting, I think paired with Lightmine Field would be a troll-y deterrent to attacks. I put in Pendrell Mists in my most recent build to get around potential token rush down.
Seeing as how you run lots of proliferating tricks, and now Gisela, Palliation Accord might be a thought for playtesting. If you've got a Doubling agent or Bubbling Season in the mix then it can be a possibility. (Although it doesn't prevent to walkers - it can still be considered if you go the prison/defensive shell route at some point)
Hi great decklist. Building a version myself to try out.
Do you not run any duals because you don't own them?
Did you ever run a mind sculptor or is he a bit meh?
Do you have any cards you wish you could slot in irrelevant of cost?
I hope you enjoy it when you complete your build. This remains one of my favorite decks, even after running it for a few years, and I generally tire of a deck after too long.
I have all ten shocks, which makes a fine mana-base. I don't own original duals. If I did, I would run them over shocks, but not in addition to.
Mind Sculptor kinda sucks in Commander. He's a lot like Tarmagoyf - expensive because it's really good in another format, but just not worth it in Commander. Every Mind Sculptor I've ever seen hit the table has quickly died, often to a token or bulk rare. And then the group directed a little extra hate towards its controller just because.
As for cards I'd like to slot in - maybe a Vampiric Tutor. I've been looking to trade for one for a while, but there really aren't any other cards that I want for this deck. The Abyss might be fun, too, I guess, but there's certainly cheaper cards that do almost the same thing, and I'm not running them.
