4 Player FFA - Loss
What this deck lost to - Combo Elves. Opponent Dominating Phage, giving it a Sword of Light and Shadow, Killing me. Misplaying horribly and failing to combo with Core Tapper to win with Core Reactor.
My version of the deck is different, It doesnt have the endless whispers and abyssal persecutor package. Lich's Mirror needs to go, probably replaced with something to deal with artifacts.
Tower of the Magistrat is a mandatory in this deck. Artifact removal and Spot removal is a huge issue. Despite having a Cabal and Deathgrip, you just auto lose to a dominate effect so also Homeward Path is needed. Darksteel Plate is also mandatory.
Aside from that, This deck has interaction with almost everything. Having Night of Souls Betrayal and the new Curse from Innistrad that makes target player's Creatures -1/-1 and Ascendant Evinicar is just absolutely brutal. I think I need more land because often I find myself screwed in that regard. Instead of Persecutor i have Dark Depths + Hex Parasite because the value is too good for planeswalker control and theres a Krag player in my group. I dropped Viscera because she is too expensive, without consistent ways to get mana I dont want to spend my turn 6 which is incredibly important playing her without haste.
Having bitterblossom and polluted bonds in this deck is almost a must. The amount of life lost while playing things for haste with Hall of Bandit Lord is very very damaging if people realize you dont play creatures.
A Large issue is dealing with graveyards, Probably need a leyline of the void, or something. Grimoire of the Dead is in here but I have yet to play it.
Dont own gate to Phyrexia or Guardian beast.
This deck is incredibly controlling. Opponents never get to have anything nice for long and they never want to wrath because they wont get value out of their wraths. I dont spot enough removal of enchantments, artifacts and what not so for people to wrath the board, they have to make critical decisions that often evens the playing field more so than for their own advantage. You win with Phage because you keep making your opponents give up the value their decks naturally provide. Torpor Orb isnt just to play Phage, it stops every single creature effect that your opponent wants to do. The Titans dont trigger when they are played, Solemn doesnt get a land, Come into play combos flat out dont work until they dig for an answer to torpor orb and by then either you've created a board position where it isnt worth it anymore to wrath or just play Phage and slowly kill the people who could have the most threat.
I play only multiplayer EDH so my experience comes from having 4 or 5 players suddenly focusing all their attention at you if you create too much a threat. Once people see this deck once, you dont get to have the light of day to spend mana to tutor every turn for nonsense in an attempt to kill one of them by blowing out your hand because then you just flat out lose. You play attrition with your opponents you put out just enough threat that forces them to wrath, or destroy things and you always make them waste more resource then you need to. It costs nothing for me to play a bitterblossom and equip a loxodon warhammer to it and swing for 4 every turn. But to the person i keep bashing face in with they have to respond to it or else I am swarming them with Faeries and taking counters off my Dark Depths slowly. Hex Parasite works wonders with it plus it pumps itself and gets rid of Planeswalkers. While HexMage would instant get Marit Lage out, it doesn't do anything else. Id prefer to have the Hex Parasite.
Yes, Mazes are the worst. Often times or not though, shes never attacking without a pair of booties. Girls love the shoes. Again you shouldnt ever be attacking without knowing for the most part that it will be successful
Commander phage is an über-Johnny deck. All logic says it sucks so it is a Johnny's perogative to make it work. 1 out of 10 wins with a phage deck is a win for a Johnny. Quality over quantity.
So I made this deck about last year and since then got a Foil Phage and turned my regular non foil phage into a sort of mark ticker.
Her text box has been painted over and now it just has little marks for the # of people she has touched. So far the score is
7 Times she has touched an opponent. 3 Times she has touched myself. (Note that is not, playing her from the command zone to just quit the game or whatever, this is someone else gaining control of her somehow, etc. The worst time was when she got her boots cliqued, and then sower'd to be equipped with a sword of light and shadow)
Number of times my platinum angel has been exiled with a 5 card combo negating its untargetable-ness, indestructibility- twice. (very sad days, Both occasions I had Torpor Orb + Platinum angel out to cast my general and I had the board locked, I could simply kill them all with Phage if she managed to stick.
this is a really cool deck, I'm actually thinking about building this just based on the fact I get tired of seeing the same generals over and over. Your deck seems to be very cost efficient but I'm not really looking to copy it card for card. Any suggestions?

Eh? That seems really weird. I'd love to see your list. I think I'm somewhere at around 400+ Phage kills and 3 deaths to her, one of which was a situation that a took a gamble that would have won me the game.
Eh? That seems really weird. I'd love to see your list. I think I'm somewhere at around 400+ Phage kills and 3 deaths to her, one of which was a situation that a took a gamble that would have won me the game.
Um, 400+? Do you play EDH 24 hours a day? What is "weird" is getting 400+ kills with Phage.
Average EDH game = 1-2 hours, minimum.
Average number of EDH players in a group = 4
I will give you the benefit of the doubt and say you killed all 3 other players every game you played in with Phage.
400/3 = 133.33333333 etc.. games played total, minimum.
That is 266 hours of gameplay roughly. That is 11 days straight playing EDH. This is a rough estimate of course, but you get the idea. It is probably much longer than 11 days because the odds of you killing all 3 players every game is low.
So either you are lying or you seriously do nothing but play EDH.

What part is particularly weird?
My decklist isnt made for 1 on 1 nor is it made to be ridiculously fast or streamlined for best in spot cards. Mine has the flavor and the mechanics I really think fit my playstyle and Phage's flavor.
Going through the list now, I realize I could make it much more flavourful with some card edits. However I haven't touched this list in about 5 months (Haven't touched magic in about that long).
Funny stuff that usually happens, Boseiju + Temporal Extortion has lead to some people paying half their life for nothing. This happens in my playgroup a lot because theres a Grand Arbiter Augustin IV player. I should probably pop in a Thorn of Amethyst myself into this deck because I want this deck to be black control.
The reason for it is because I have been doing a mono colored deck that is the opposite of the common use for that color. Example, Blue is known for Control, I since then made a very aggro Mistform Ultimus Deck, and my Monored Fumiko the Lowblood is control.
I now run a Deathgrip in every one of my decks that have black in it. I do this because, I have 12 Beta edition Deathgrips and getting to say, I destroy that green spell as it is being cast. Is too hilarious. (But really its because I cant let other decks outramp me. Green is too popular and way too fast for this deck, countering, Riku, Omnath, Uriel (literally 0 answers except keep them off mana until you can have stromgald cabal or deathgrip to prevent Uriel hitting the field), Kodama Reaches, Cultivates, Green Sun's is absolutely incredible at keeping up with your opponent.)

So this my attempts to make a Phage the Untouchable EDH deck, I haven't finished it because I don't have all the cards, but this is what I'm considering
I'm wondering if Erratic Portal can return Phage from my command zone to my hand or if it has to be from play. So if someone knows this would be big help, thanks
I'm wondering if Erratic Portal can return Phage from my command zone to my hand or if it has to be from play. So if someone knows this would be big help, thanks
That doesn't work, it's only from the battlefield. Any time a card says "creature" it means "creature on the battlefield". Because on the stack it's a "creature spell" and anywhere else it's a "creature card".
Like I said in my post, I constantly play against a Grand Arbiter deck where he increases the cost of my spells by 1. I also said I would consider a thorn of amethyst, lodestone golem or a sphere of resistance also.
The Eye of Ugin is a love and hate relationship. It nearly always produces a mana because Urborg is often always out, regardless if I have it, or another black player has it.
It lets me repeatedly recast Ulamog for an uncounterable vindicate also if I have a lot of mana out which isnt hard to do with cabal coffers or because of multiplayer edh, i have 15 lands. With the amount of haste effects I have in my deck, its no big deal to go, end of someones turn right before mine, tutor for ulamog. My turn, cast ulamog, equip with haste, attack. Say go. End of someones turn, phyrexian tower my ulamog, tutor ulamog, repeat and rinse. And all of this is completely uncounterable save a voidslime.
Again my deck isnt optimized for cut throat. It does things fit for the players in my play group.
I have also in all the games I've played with Phage, never needed her to go to the graveyard. If you can cast her once from the general zone, that is often enough to cause you to win the game, or lose it. Theres no playing around with her in the graveyard cuteness.
Simply Put, You want to cast phage and counter her and get her into the graveyard ASAP.
My deck wants to control the field until i can cast Phage safely from the command zone.
You already lose to phage coming into play from the command zone, Why double risk it to the point where you could simply lose the game to 1 counterspell? Why not ensure you have the control? From the games I play, graveyard hate is almost infinite. It is always available. Even if you get Phage into the graveyard early, you dick around hoping she doesnt get exiled. Now you have to cover another zone for her.
I played this deck.
Here are the results...
4 player FFA - Win
5 Player FFA - Win
6 Player FFA - Loss
4 Player FFA - Win (With -48 life! Thank you Platinum Angel)

So I'm considering dropping a few cards/adding a few.
Considered Drops: Erratic Portal, Demonic Collusion
Considered Adds: Call to the Netherworld, Deathgrip, Bloodgift Demon
I'm wondering if Erratic Portal can return Phage from my command zone to my hand or if it has to be from play. So if someone knows this would be big help, thanks
Any other suggestions would be appreciated
out: Erratic Portal
In: Call to the Netherworld

That doesn't work, it's only from the battlefield. Any time a card says "creature" it means "creature on the battlefield". Because on the stack it's a "creature spell" and anywhere else it's a "creature card".
