Okay...
So I'm thinking of making a stax deck. I'm kind of nervous about a stax edh deck though... But I'm going to give it a try. I'm thinking cards like

I ask for suggestions for a few reasons.
1-I'm very new to deck building for edh
2-It is 5 a.m. and I should be asleep by now but I do not want to forget what is in my mind at the current moment
3-I greatly appreciate the views on this forum

WUB stax deck. Casual. Any suggestions?

Also, would it be in my best interest to just buy the political puppets deck and take out all the r? I feel like a lot of what I want is already in that deck.

So here's the deck list I have made. I decided that the political puppets deck had a lot of cards I wanted in my deck after comparing the two so It's kind of similar... Any suggestions would be great. Sorry it took me so long to put up a deck list.




The only thing I'm worried about is my mana base... Should I put more lands in? if so, what should I take out?

Lets see, a little math here.

Zur the Enchanter - will get you hated off the table if you look like you are going to do any shenanigans.

Smokestack - will get you hated off the table and the tires of your car slashed.

If you play a full out griefer style deck, you are only going to get knocked out first in multiplay EDH, I would suggest if you want to play Stax/Zur, build a 1-on-1 deck.

I'm not using Smokestack. I'm just playing a disruptive/control style deck. Just because the type of deck is called stax doesn't mean I have to run the card, just use that play style.

And please, constructive criticism only. Telling me my deck will get me hated out of games won't improve the deck. If you think I'll get hated out of games, give me ideas to tone the power level down some. There's no need to just tell me it's a bad idea or I'll get hated out of games and leave it at that.

Here are some of my suggestions:

Rout - Instead speed Wrath of God though a little costly. Just in case an Insurrection happens, Anger goes into someone's graveyard with an army waiting, or some CIP attacking shenangians.

Greater Auramancy - Shroud your other enchantments and your enchanted creatures. Zur can tutor

Copy Enchantment - Zur can tutor

Wow. Both Greater Auramancy and Copy Enchantment were on my list of cards that should be included. I do not know how I missed those. Thank you

EDIT:I have greater auramancy in the deck already but Copy Enchantment is not

I'm still iffy about the mana base. maybe I need more special lands?
