MTG Salvation

this is my last list I come up with. This is a voltron deck with thrun as the general. the list I made is not optimal, I made the dack only with the cards I had and some i bought. all the cards i need are in the bottom of the post.

If you have any suggestion to make the deck more effective, don't hesitate.

I too am working on this beast. Two things come to mind: primeval titan and woodfall primus. Very important cards to add to your "get list.". Other than that I'd say you've got the right idea. Definitely get the swords and stuff ASAP.

Some extra artifact mana wouldn't be bad either. Sol ring, gilded lotus, gauntlet of power, extraplanar lense, and so on. Mana reflection is cool but not 100% required for voltron style decks.

Edit: it's tempting to do a troll tribal subtheme. The deck of choice for /b/tards. 0.o

I'd suggest adding in a bunch of fetchlands. The Zendikar ones (Verdant Catacomb, Misty Rainforest), the onslaught ones (Windswept Heath, Wooded Foothills), the mirage ones (Grasslands, Mountain Valley), terramorphic expanse, evolving wilds, maybe even the 3 green Panoramas. Then throw in Life From the Loam and Crucible of Worlds and you've got yourself a nice fetch engine, which will generate card advantage and thin your deck. Strip Mine and Wasteland fit nicely into this strategy as well. Other good lands to consider: Gaea's Cradle (you mention this already), Deserted Temple, Maze of Ith, Treetop Village, Oran-Rief, the Vastwood.

Alternately, or additionally, as you are running a monocolored deck with a huge number of basic lands, you could consider adding Scrying Sheets, turning all your basics into Snow-Covered Forests, and adding Mouth of Ronom.

You may also want some removal in here, as you don't really have a way to deal with problematic creatures:
Duplicant, Nevinyrral's Disk, Oblivion Stone, Steel Hellkite, All Is Dust

Tooth and Nail and Praetor's Counsel are other big spells you might consider adding.

Weak things to cut might include O-Naginata, Ferocity, Predatory Hunger, Nature's Spiral, Harrow, Naturalize, Nature's Claim.

thanks for the advice, i know that my mana base is very weak but now i'm on a budget, so i can afford all the fetchlands and other lands card that are really expensive. for the board wipes departement i have steel hellkite and i want to add oblivion stone for sure and Nevinyrral's Disk

for the cards i need to cut i'm not sure for ferocity because some of the people i play with it play some infinite creature combo like thopter foundry + sword of the meek+ ashnod's altar. So even if he block me and i have trample i do my general damage to him so i can kill him. it's why i run so much spell that give trample.

i thought for the snow lands and i'm not sur to add it to the deck.

I want your opinion on my creature base. I'm not sure what to include in it. I put some good cards and some little combo like ant queen + skullclamp, i can draw two cards for three mana.

Someone know good ramp spell that i didn't put in the deck.

Just get Tooth and Nail and Primeval Titan in addition to Avenger of Zendikar. It's a cute combo that gives a hoard of 4/5 plants for 9 mana (assuming you have fetchlands to grab with the Titan). I think you already have the other green bombs like Terastodon and Regal Force. If it's big and has a "comes into play" effect, try it out.

As for ramp spells, you might try Explosive Vegetation and Hunting Wilds.

Edit: just remember that this stuff is support and backup--don't forget to focus on your general to deliver 21. Lightning Greaves for haste and Whispersilk Cloak for unblockable would be good replacements for weaker equipments.

I realy don't like whispersilk cloak because thrun already have trollshroud and it's one of his strenght. i know that unblockable is realy good but the drawback of the shroud is less cool.

for the combo it's pretty cool but it's need a lot of money so maybe in some other time. but i think i'll try to get tooth and nails because it's really too good in this deck.

Yavimaya Dryad, Wood Elves, Farhaven Elf - bodies with decent search ETB effects.
Nature's Lore - Rampant growth for any forest (can find duals/Sapseep Forest/Dryad Arbor), comes into play untapped
Explosive Vegetation, Hunting Wilds - more Skyshroud Claims.
Gaea's Touch is an Exploration that also stores 2 mana for explosive turns. Turn 2 Gaea's touch, second land, turn 3, 2 lands, sac Touch, you have 7 mana available.

Here's my list as it stands now for you to compare. It shares a lot of the same cards you have and plan to get. Voltron is the "A Plan" and making lots of mana for super bombs is "B Plan." Some stuff that isn't in here that I would consider trying out: Akroma's Memorial, Worldslayer, Life from the Loam, Survival of the Fittest, Green Sun's Zenith, and Natural Order. I also have a Blightsteel Colossus that I'm tempted to try out, but I think there's enough power as it is, and Ulamog is probably better.

Have you guys thought about greater good or harmonize?

thats an awesome list you made but i don,t like the new sword because it's pro one of your color so if you want to enchant something on it you're ☺☺☺☺ed. I forgot about umezawa's jitte and i have three that are doing nothng so maybe i'll add it.

both our list run harmonize and i really don't like greater good because too much time it's sit there doing nothing.

That maybe true, but Greater Good it makes up for it when you sac a big fattie and net somethng like six cards.

yeah i know but I test it and i realy don,t like this cards i prefer to put more ramp or greater creature. thanks for the advice but the next cards i want to try is fecondity.

My version is going to be different. Have you tired Khalni Hydra or Kozilek, Butcher of Truth? Hydra is big fattie for 1 green in theory. Kozilek is a Fattie and draws you cards. Since mono green lacks card draw is fills a little void.

i forgot about khalni hydra,but kozilek is really great. but right now i didn't have the time to playtest it.

This deck is looking more like it's for 1v1 play. Is that correct? In multi player you don't use things like plow under

Looks pretty solid. I have to agree that Plow Under doesn't seem very effective in multiplayer.

Beast Within is pretty amazing removal.

A sac outlet to prevent theft wouldn't hurt. High Market works well. Maybe Miren, the Moaning Well (but I'm not as crazy about that one).

You've got a metric butt ton of ramp. You could probably lighten up a tiny bit there and never miss it. Bolster the token makers for Skullclamp fodder maybe.

Reliquary Tower if you start drawing a lot of cards.
