So the basic idea of using Selvala, Heart of the Wild as your commander is to abuse her with low-cost, high-power cards like Phyrexian Dreadnought and Phyrexian Soulgorger to rush out huge threats. As long as your commander is ready to activate her ability, Phyrexian Dreadnought essentially reads: "1G: Add twelve mana in any combination of colors to your mana pool. Draw a card." Other cards like Thousand-Year Elixer and Hero's Blade also help power out explosive openings. Cards like Life's Legacy, Greater Good, and Momentous Fall turn your low-cost, high-power creatures into massive card draw. Finally, Umbral Mantle and Sword of the Paruns let Selvala go infinite.
I drafted up a decklist of what it might look like. Let me know what you think!

One card I noticed that isn't on your list I'd strongly recommend is Instill Energy. It can give Selvala, Heart of the Wilds haste, and you can re tap her to add very large amounts of mana to your pool.
I like the idea of using cards that are normally bad (Phyrexian Dreadnought, Phyrexian Soulgorger, etc.) but this deck seems really fragile. Like if Selvala, Heart of the Wilds gets removed or countered, you're in trouble.
I guess the haste makes it a little better, but because her activated ability costs mana to activate, you can't use her as soon as possible anyway.
Edit: Lupine Prototype and Invigorate also have fantastic synergy with your general.
