I am choosing Erebos as a commander because of several reasons:
1. Indestructible (and not immediately a creature), thus making him harder to remove.
2. Built in card-draw
3. Stops Lifegain (while not omni-present, it can be helpful against some commanders)

Crypt Ghast: Mostly a mana doubler, but Extort can come in handy.
Desecration Demon: Cheap, efficient beater.
Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief: Recurring removal. Can deal with indestructable creatures tooo.
Ghoulcaller Gisa: Can spam the board with more tokens. Great synergy with Grave Pact and Dicate of Erebos
Grave Titan: solid Beater that gives us tokens to go wide
Gray Merchant of Asphodel: His ETB can get out of hand
It That Betrays: Works well with Grave Pact and Annihilator. Cost can be an issue
Kokusho, the Evening Star: Solid card
Kuro, Pitlord: Removal at the cost of life. Can be useful.
Lord of the Void: If it connects, it usually is great
Nirkana Revenant: Mana Doubler that also can grow.
Phyrexian Obliterator: Most efficient beater in MBC. See Arena
Rune-Scarred Demon and Sidisi, Undead Vizier: Tutors on sticks
Soldevi Adnate: Great accelerant. Nuts with a creature of CMC 5+ and Nim Deathmantle. Throw in Grave Pact for added value
Solemn Simulacrum: Solid utility
Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger and Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre: Colorless removal
Vampire Hexmage: Bye bye walkers.
Wurmcoil Engine: Efficent beater
Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed: Great utility. Usually unblockable. Can recur a needed spell too.
Damnation, Mutilate and Toxic Deluge: Sometimes you need mass removal
Death Wish: Some cards in our SB can put a game away. In some case the loss of life is a small price for the right answer
Discard: Duress, Hymn to Tourach, Mind Shatter, Mind Sludge, Mind Twist and Thoughtseize
Card draw: Moonlight Bargain, Night's Whisper, Sign in Blood, Promise of Power - can also make a Demon and Phyrexian Arena
Removal: Hero's Downfall, Scour from Existence, Grave Pact and Dicate of Erebos are pseudo removal.
Bitterblossom: can provide a lot of advantage when played at the right time. Also provides fodder forContamination
Contamination: Black's Blood Moon
Oversold Cemetery and Phyrexian Reclamation: Recurs creatures
Expedition Map: Because Cabal Coffers (usual target]. Can grab other utility lands.
Extraplanar Lens: If not dealt with, usually helps puts the game away
Lashwrithe: Because Swamps
Lightning Greaves: Haste
Nim Deathmantle: Protects from removal.
Karn Liberated: Additional removal if needed.
Liliana of the Dark Realms: Grabs swamps and can act as removal.
Liliana Vess: Built in discard and Vampiric Tutor. Her ultimate wins games
Ob Nixilis Reignited: Card draw and Removal
Sorin Markov: You're at 10 now!
Ugin, the Spirit Dragon: Can sweep or Bolt.
Sideboard:
All Is Dust: Sometimes you need to get rid on enchantments[/c]
Dust Bowl: Strip Mine every turn if needed.
Gate to Phyrexia: Sometimes you need to deal with artifacts[/c]
Infernal Darkness: Like Contamination, can put games away.
Night of Soul's Betrayal: Against token strategies
Pithing Needle: Good utility. Can shut off certain commanders
Praetor's Grasp and Sadistic Sacrament: Strip the opponent from their wincons (or answers)
Hex Parasite: great against counter based strategies. Also deals with walkers.
Leyline of the Void: Against graveyard based strategies.
Other options:
Dark Depths: We run Hexmage already
Shizo, Death's Storehouse: Fear can be great
Helm of Obedience: can be a wincon if Leyline of the void is moved to the mainboard
Beseech The Queen in the sideboard: Sometimes a needed answer is in your mainboard and you need to find it.
Westvale Abbey: Seems like it would be great
Behold the Beyond: Tutoring for 3 cards can put a game away
Crucible of Worlds: To get a Strip Mine lock?
Attrition: Recurring removal.
