Just because the league ends on Monday doesn't mean there's any update on Monday. MTGO client goes down for maintenance every wednesday and as far as I know they're only able to change banlists with the servers down. Therefore every update in the history of MTGO-only formats will be on a wednesday (even if they announce it earlier). Is there any precedent of this happening different with, say, Pauper?
OMG
They need to ban Winter Orb. 2 mana colorless Armageddon. Oh, and I just happen to play all the mana rocks in the format... how convinient.
I don't even mind when Breya casts. But monoblue having access to that is just...

Build a better mana curve such that Orb doesn't shut you down.
Build a better mana curve such that Orb doesn't shut you down.
I would love to see a mana *curve* that Winter Orb doesn't shut down.
A deck with small yet efficient spells such that you're not overly hindered by the effect. I don't even play rock decks anymore, and I haven't been phased by an Orb in ages. Typically (Kaalia notwithstanding for obv reasons), I build decks that function on 1 - 3 mana with a few 4 - 5 curve toppers that I'm ok if I don't get to always play. Alesha being the best at this as if I can get two mana/turn I'm in far better shape than most including the one that played the Orb.
In fact oftentimes the Orb just helps my own plan, such that I can shut others out because of their Orb by playing my own 3sphere. I may not be playing the same commander esque games as most do...
I played Winter Orb in my old Kami of the Crescent Moon deck, and I had no hesitations about dropping it against monored, or anything else. It just breaks the rules of the game such that no deck, even a red deck with entirely 1cc-2cc cards, is immune. Even last night, I was playing a Teferi Planeswalker deck against Zurgo, and found myself casting Winter Orb on purpose, specifically because it would slow my opponent down and paired with a 30 life starting point, would give me a fighting change.

Kami is that type of prison deck to do it. And tbf it's not really just the Orb, but the combination of Exhaustion like similar effects (because just an Orb isn't going to do that). Especially if that were, say, a Radha/Yisan/Ezuri or similar mana dork deck where the Orb would have barely hindered them versus what it does to you. Or just getting to 5 and sticking a Paradox Engine. Not that you'd let that resolve, you're about as U as I am anti-U haha.
I digress. Point is it isn't really just the Orb doing that to the Zurgo deck in question, just a means of the prison deck doing what it does - successfully locking up the offending [to you] deck.

@3drinks- basically changed my hobby from playing Duel-Commander to playing the wargame Malifaux.
I'm curious to see how many from the 1v1 competitive EDH community will stick to either DC or Leviathan. My thoughts are simple: everyone that enjoys competitive 1v1 EDH should switch over to the new MTGO banlist- whatever that may be. Because that's how the format will get sanctioned events, and isn't that what the goal is? You either adapt to the meta change, or you find yourself a new hobby. To be clear, I don't think DC or Leviathan need to die off. They have their niche. It's just that if you want to classify yourself as a competitive 1v1 Commander player, you need to follow the banlist that's finally being constructed for 1v1 by the game designers.

Ah, a fresh hobby change helps at times. How are you liking it?
As to our community, I'm firmly in the camp of DC especially under the 20 life banner! And not just because Zurgo Bellstriker is my "main squeeze" (that'd be Alesha, Who Smiles at Death), I feel comfortable being able to adapt to the 20 life format the best. It's not like "play permission or anti-permission", I actually, in my case, feel comfortable adapting my own Alesha to both fight Zurgo, and fight Zurgo's predators. I can't do that in a 30 life format where Tasigur and it's ilk are legal.
I'll play MTGO Banlist. When it allows people to brew and it's not just "play the next commander on the DC Banlist or bust".
Also when MTGO stops looking and playing like it was made for Windows 98.

Allows people to brew?!
I don't understand the intend of this post. Are you misunderstanding Cainsson and using those statistics to show that the format doesn't allow people to brew? Or are you using them to badly argue that the format is plenty diverse?
Hey guys, I used to run a Geist the Saint Traft deck on Duel Commander and have one built on paper, but of course with the recent banning, my deck is no longer legal.
So I looked into the MTGO 1v1 and I realized that Geist the Saint Traft has almost no showing, can anyone explain why it is not competitive here? Maybe the fast mana rocks that are available on MTGO 1v1? or Tasigur, the Golden Fang being legal?

- Ban some tutors. At least Vampiric Tutor and Mystical Tutor
- Ban Winter Orb. The card is too powerful for 2 colorless mana.
- Ban Breya, Etherium Shaper, it's the 4 color grind queen.
- Ban Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, the fact that you can't interact with it + anihilator 6 makes it too powerful
