Someone at the French Committee had his ass be heavily pounded by a Zurgo Bellstriker.
Nice play, French Committee! Killed the format, now kill yourself too.

Telling anyone to kill themselves is not appropriate and constitutes flaming/trolling. Infracted.
I like the new round of bannings. Very on point. The only thing missing is the banning of fastbond, balance and cataclysm.

agree with you i would have ban, in add of the cards they banned:
Balance
Fastbond
Cataclysm
Ancestral Vision
Why Cataclysm? It's a card that becomes much better only if you have Planeswalkers behind it, and is extremely dependent on your board state as well. If you take this away, Aggro has...Armageddon and Ravages of War (if you can get it) and neither of those replicate Cat's advanatge. Balance is actually pretty fine at the moment, there aren't any fast mana rocks to ramp into it for a blowout.
Fastbond I can see being banned again, but there just isn't enough Titania/Gitrog going on around here, at least, to make it a no-brainer.
Ancestral Vision why? You can kill them well before it resolves.

Planeswalkers behind it, meaning you or your opponent? Coz cataclysm sweeps the board of walkers. Courtesy of the "sacrifice the rest" clause. It's balance that spares the walkers.
Disagree with fastbond. Duel commander is surprisingly and thankfully thriving here in the Philippines (I can find 2 tournaments of at least 14 players per week, with usually 1-2 30 or more player tourneys per month) and the number of titania players here is a little crazy. Combined with the recent ancient tomb unban, it's a bit unfair to nerf zurgo and allow all these toys for titania to play with herself with.
I agree, ancestral can stay. It's a terrible late game topdeck, and in the early game it can still lose out to fast decks.
About getting rid of free spells, I really think a fireblast ban means force of will should go too. But personally I want both to stay legal.
I think Wizards's magic online new banlsit is up. Saw in a Whatsup group and it looks like it was released on tumbler but can't find it. Also don't know if this is the place for it but ill be posting the bans and unbans.
The new Wizards list is nice. I like that they punted Demonic Tutor as well, that card is still way too good to be in DC.
I don't think we will switch to the MTGO list here, but maybe if they ban Chrome Mox/Mox Diamond as well, the lists will come down to preference and so on.
I wouldn't mind trying 30 life in a bit, my new build (Sigarda, Host of Herons) works quite better with the extra life buff.
And thank you on Cataclysm re: Planeswalkers. Yes it is quite good but I think they'll leave it alone for now.
Hard format to balance. Over here we had Pope doing well then it took a swoon, now we have lots of Partner and some side-aggro too.
DC looks ok, but I'm always in favour of less tutors of any kind, even with my Sigarda deck playing a metric ton of them (Birthing Pod, Worldly, Enlightened, etc.)

I agree with blinketto182.
You have one of each removal spell, they have two commanders. You kill one of them, the other one is fresh, you kill that one, the other comes out.
It is unsustainable to keep up with them, so either share the general tax or ban Thrassios or just remove the mechanic, which is meant for a game with 3 other people and so on. And on top you get 4 colors. It's a bit much. With these commanders, all the small things add up quickly.

Yeah, I understand the issue with partners. I wouldn't be against banning the mechanic and keeping the generals in the format. Honestly I didn't mind them so much, but I can see how they might be oppressive in the long run. Only very good generals can compete against double generals.
The upside of banning the mechanic and not the generals is that you can immediately unban Bruse and Vial Smasher, which would make for cool commander on their own decks. I support putting pressure on the committe to ban the mechanic.

Heh, that Iname list is super sweet, had something like that for regular commander ages ago.
And yeah, I agree with Ashiok, may they haunt my dreams! Partner mechanic should go. You can still do cool things with them individually, without having them just be so bleh and omnipresent. That said they aren't super crazy around here. Adeliz has been the new hot sauce, heh.
